August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

@Kilkers I'm your woman for the Facebook group. Send me a pm with your email address and I'll add you in.

Have I added everyone else who requested? Now at 40 people over there. Lots of bumps and food pictures!

@ivegotthedecaf my due date according to the midwife who I saw on Monday is 2nd September. I'm still hanging around in this group as my baby is highly likely to be an August baby, fingers crossed no earlier than August!, due to coil. But I might venture to the September group. I have another scan on Monday to see where I'm at 🙄

I too have a bump. None of my jeans fit me. I've had to buy the next size up! I'm only 10 weeks and 5 days x

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/02/2019 20:25

Im now looking around 11/9, some on this thread seem months ahead! Can't help but feel a bit disapointed

Jokie · 08/02/2019 20:58

Evening all!

@Elmamadegatita: Happy Birthday for this weekend. When is your birthday? Mines on Sunday!

@IVEgottheDECAF: feel free to hang around :) sometimes dates can be wrong. I know with my first, I was due 29th and felt like everyone was already 8weeks ahead of me.

It's Friday night and I'm utterly exhausted. Having an early night in the hope rest does me some good. Does anyone else have the stormy winds and rain, too?

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/02/2019 21:02

My 4 have all been born before due date, but dc2 early enough that i would make August!

Anyone had dates put back at a scan then moved forward when rescanned?

ABearandABump · 08/02/2019 21:14

Evening all,

I've had a bleed today. Really praying that it's because I've been on my feet all day at a funeral and carrying (dancing) with DS.

I don't know if I need to call anyway and worried that as it's the weekend they'll just advise to wait until my scan which is Monday.

abw94 · 08/02/2019 21:18

@ABearandABump oh no I hope you're ok! I would ring your triage if you can and see what they say? I wouldn't leave it the weekend. My midwife said even if it's the smallest of things get it checked out.

Hope all is OK x

EverythingNow · 08/02/2019 21:31

@abearandabump, I hope you're ok. I would call x

NutRoastCityLimits · 09/02/2019 01:09

Just say update my story: I had a positive result for trisomy 18 when I had an NIPT test (I'm in the US at the moment and it's routine here). I started reading about it online and there are so many false positives about the test I got very confused, and thought there was a high chance it was wrong. So when I turned up for the CVS and the genetic counsellor told me they see a 95% correlation between NIPT and CVS results, I was really shocked. Moral of the story - other than Mumsnet, the internet is really not your friend...

The CVS results came back today and yes, also positive. I'm absolutely devastated as I worked so hard to allow myself to feel it's OK to want a third baby. It's hard not to let this feel like a big 'f*ck you' from the universe. I'm going for a termination on Wednesday as I think I'd be even more heartbroken to bring a child into the world in pain, and then watching it die. I feel so alone. My husband can't even be there on Wednesday as he's working.

It's horrifying how often this happens though. Honestly, if I'd know so many things could go wrong when I'd had my first two babies I'm not sure I would have had the courage to go ahead. Motherhood is the hardest thing in the world.

Jelliestogether · 09/02/2019 04:23

@ivegotthedecaf completely understand why you are moving groups! I'm due mid August and still feel like some are so ahead! Wishing you all the best, feel free to pop on every now and again and update us all.

@abearandabump, best to call and get it checked out, it's probably nothing but least you won't stress over the weekend knowing you've called, even if they suggest waiting til Monday!

@nutroastcitylimits I'm so sorry your having to go through this, especially on your own on Wednesday, really hope your husband can get the day off to go with you. I'll be thinking of you.

ss3ajb · 09/02/2019 05:30

Jokie · 09/02/2019 11:23

@NutRoastCityLimits: I'm so sorry to hear this update :(

Elmamadegatita · 09/02/2019 11:29

@nutroastcitylimits I am so so sorry, I hope Wednesday goes as easily as it possibly can for you.

ScotsBaby2 · 09/02/2019 12:05

@NutRoastCityLimits so sorry to hear your news. I will be thinking of you on Wednesday.

@IVEgottheDECAF that's a shame your dates have been moved so much. I was told with baby 1 that they don't change the date after 12 week scan. Very annoying especially if they then say you are measuring big for your dates.

@ABearandABump I hope you managed to see someone and there wasn't anymore bleeding.

@NutRoastCityLimits
I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. All strength to you.

If I was in your situation (I start testing on Thursday) I would so exactly the same. I’ll keep you in my thoughts x

Can I join? Due August 4th Smile

ABearandABump · 09/02/2019 15:29

@Jelliestogether @abw94 @ScotsBaby2 @EverythingNow

Bleeding stopped pretty much as soon as it started and there has been no more today. I'm going to try and hang fire until Monday. I'm guessing I've just done too much yesterday and baby wasn't happy with it.

@NutRoastCityLimits so sorry to hear your news lovely.

CalmerComber · 09/02/2019 15:40

Lots of love @NutRoastCityLimits you’re so brave xxx

Fuppy · 09/02/2019 15:40

@NutRoastCityLimits I think you're really brave. Hugs Thanks
