August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea

Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

@PinkLady89x; yes. I still get them (14 weeks). The doctor said it's my muscles expanding to "the increasing size of the uterus". He said I might also get short sharp stabbing pains during a growth spurt.

I have 2DDs and now having a boy. I found it hard to get my head around it as just presumed it would be more of the same. It's exciting to be experiencing a different side to things. Though I find it hard to believe still and cannot think of a single name I like as had prepped girls names!

@Elmamadegatita we had the NIPT on the NHS because of our high risk of genetic disorder. This should totally have been offered to you for free. I also had the harmony test for free on NHS at the same time as my scan on Monday (different hospitals looking after different bits of pregnancy). Either way though I'm glad you managed to find a way around the CVS!

Hey anyone starting to grow a belly yet how much is normal at 13 weeks

:o I don’t know if I am I can’t tell if I’m fat or pregnant 😂 I’ve lost weight so I’m about the same size I was before I got pregnant 😂

@sunshine1987 people are so awkward. My best one was one of the senior manager upon hearing that I was pregnant said “how did that happen then?” All I managed to say was “errre Pete you’ve got 2 kids, how do you think it happened”....?!

And today I mentioned to a colleague that I had to rush off for a hospital appointment (to see they physio) and she pointedly looked at my belly and said “for a check up”. No Linda. Not for a “check up”. Wanted to tell her to stop staring at my flabby belly!

Kinda wishing I hadn’t told work yet tbh! They’re a lovely bunch really but I’m sick of the pointed looks and awww comments.

As DP put it I’m being a right grumpy chops!

@ScotsBaby2 wooow! That is a mighty bump!! Lovely! :)

@Trimusical a lot of flab and lax muscles from baby number 1. I need to stop eating sweets and start eating more fruit and veg.

@emma1224 think of the size of me at 9 months!! Bump will come. Pregnancy is all about patience

In the evening i am similar size as scotsbaby2 however a lot of that is bloat but i do have a solid bump all day just not as obvious. I am hopeful it means im a few weeks out on my dates lol

Good news, follow up scan went well today, everything is back where it should be after a bit of a scare at my 12 week scan. Hopefully I can relax now and start enjoying being pregnancy 😀

Hi guys! Loving seeing all your scan pics and positive news. I've got my first scan next week! So many mixed emotions of nervousness and excitement. I just hope everything is okay and then I can relax a bit more and enjoy it!

I am SO tired still, literally falling asleep at my desk today, just had to come for a walk to try and wake up.

Couldn't have cvs today because of the position of placenta. So going back next week. Wish we could just get it over with so I might be able to start to relax
