Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

Lots of lovely scan pics today. Congrats!

ScotsBaby2 · 31/01/2019 21:47

@ABearandABump I am definitely showing. I was at parents evening tonight and a parent asked after my daughter then said "is this bump of number 2 I see"

Loving all the scan pics. I have one from last time but it's just a blob with a heart beat 😂 I have my next scan on 11th when I will be 11 weeks and a couple of days. This is to check on coil. Then I have my 12 week dating scan come through too on 18th. Midwife on 6th. I've already been referred to a consultant for a consultant led pregnancy due to my last pregnancy and issues with this one. Fingers crossed. Taking each day as it comes as I'm a ticking time bomb! On the plus side my sickness has almost subsided completely. I've cut down on ciclizine tablets. I went back to work today after 2 weeks off. My manager has been great. Considering I was only in the job 3 days when I went off! 😬 good luck to everyone else on their scans x

Cobblestones · 31/01/2019 23:49

That’s so good to hear @cautiousoptimist after all the trials of the first few weeks it must be extra special

@abearandabump I feel the same way. All of a sudden huge. Despite not being constipated. I think it’s just fat from all the carbs I’ve been eating 😬 but it looks weirdly like a bump all hard and pointed urghh definitely a lot harder to hide. And I have this similar pull on my right side just below the rib cage

PinkLady89x · 01/02/2019 06:39

Morning ladies,
I have a weird and deffo TMI question. I just went to the loo and felt something come out and it was jelly/ snotty / stringy clear stuff! Has anyone else had anything like this? I'm now worried I've lost my plug 😫. It was completely clear and no blood. Even after a good scan yesterday I still can't help but worry!
Any advice would be great. Thanks x

CautiousOptimist · 01/02/2019 07:30

@Cobblestones! So pleased to see you here too, wishing you a very healthy pregnancy.

@PinkLady89x Sorry you’re worried. Do you have a non-emergency number on your notes you could call for reassurance? I hope everything’s OK.

Jokie · 01/02/2019 09:30

@PinkLady89x; yes, I've had increased discharge and was told it was entirely normal. Without being disgusting, if it's clear and doesn't smell "bad" then it's all ok. If you're worried, give your midwife a ring and check

Friday and I've never been so glad for the weekend!

Jelliestogether · 01/02/2019 10:09

@pinklady89x I had that around 10 weeks too and was told it's totally normal as long as no blood and smell etc. But if your worried chat to your midwife for extra reassurance.

Just had my 12 week scan and everything looks great so now can relax a bit!

ss3ajb · 01/02/2019 10:37

PinkLady89 This has happened to me a few time (sorry for those TMI) I believe it's gross but normal as long as no pain or smell but Def call midwife if you are worried it's not caused me any harm and all on at scan yesterday x

ss3ajb · 01/02/2019 10:37

Meant all ok yesterday sorry predictive text! X

PinkLady89x · 01/02/2019 11:04

Thanks ladies. I'm going to try and not worry as it had no smell or colour and may have been a bit of the plug but from what I've read, it comes back again and is fairly normal.

Jelliestogether · 01/02/2019 11:22

@CalmerComber please can you add me to the list, my dates have been adjusted. My new due date is 17th August!

avacadooo · 01/02/2019 11:52

MrsRyan15 · 01/02/2019 13:46

bubblegumunicorn · 01/02/2019 13:56

@avacadooo that scan is great looks like you may have trouble evicting that one when the time comes they've really made themselves at home already Grin

Poppy012 · 01/02/2019 14:14

Wow what a great scan pic xx

OctoberGirl91 · 01/02/2019 15:49

Aww lovely scan photo @avacadooo xxx

Floriday · 01/02/2019 16:45

It’s so lovely seeing all the scan photos!

Schmexy · 01/02/2019 19:05

I had my scan today and all looked good! It was very still and settled to start with but then really started moving around! DH was very shocked haha.

They said that I have an enlarged ovary though and have had some pain on that side so have been referred to a consultant. Hoping it's all fine, they said it could be nothing but best to check. Has anyone had this before or now? Apparently can be a cyst but I really don't know. They didn't seem to think it would affect the baby though so that's positive!

mightypinkdms · 01/02/2019 19:20

Hey all, loving the scan pics - glad there’s so much lovely news to read :) had a tough day today, the promotion I have worked so hard to get has been taken temporarily away from me under health and safety reasons, am so unbelievably gutted and hormonal! I know they are looking out for me, but feel everything I’ve worked so hard for has been severed from my role! They’ve been clear it’s not a reflection on me and they want to keep me safe - and there are grounds for them to do so - but I feel like a let down and that they think I’m rubbish at my job, which is completely untrue! My promotion will be given back to me after my mat leave - and I will be involved in up and coming changes through KIT days, but this evening I’m a mess. A good excuse to eat chips and ice cream, right?!? Xx

Chocolate89 · 01/02/2019 20:06

@avacadooo oh my god what a fab scan pic! So chilled out 😂 delighted scans went well today for everyone ❤
@mightypinkdms ah thats so frustrating! You poor thing... def a night to eats chips and ice cream!!

Floriday · 01/02/2019 20:30

@schmexy I have the same. The sonographer pointed it out as a dark circle on the scan and said it was probably a corpus luteum cyst from where the egg was released from the ovary at ovulation. She said they usually have disappeared by 12 weeks but sometimes can take longer but expect it to have gone by 20 weeks and they’re not worried if they’re under 4cm, mine was 3cm. I read up on them and it put my mind at rest.
