Muppet latest one says Konnor looks a chavvy name lol oh well some people.....wish I had known that the spelling of a name determines a childs intelligence... I always thought it was the education

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 15:14

This is what was said.........

Blimey, roisin, I was privately thinking Konnor (or Konor) sounded rather chavvy but I wasn't going to go as far as to suggest either (a) TLE wasn't a good parent because she can't (or rather, won't) spell or (b) baby Konnor/Konor was a bit thick.

muppetgirl · 07/07/2007 15:24

My nephew is called Xavier I'm going to ask how she thinks he will turn out based on her clear impression that names determine class and intelligence, oh and also ability to parent.

Or is it not the 'unusualness' of the name more the spelling that alludes to the above?

What do you think?

I spoke to best friends hubby today, turns out she had to have baby jacob under general and EC. Im so sad for her It was pretty terrible from what her hubby said. Shes been able to hold him and bf him today and baby is now off drip. They have said no visitors to hospital apart from close family, so will have to wait a week to see her. I just wanna hug her and know shes ok.

just found this on a thread

'Maybe LT has PND and this is how it's manifesting. But she can't possibly be a Mumsnetter; her baby is bottle-fed and she leaves her dc in the car while she pays for petrol!'

?????? is this serious?

OP posts:
MrsFish · 07/07/2007 18:38

FGS - I leave DS in the car when paying for fuel, I am bottlefeeding this next lo, we went to MaccyD's for lunch last week and DS had hamburger, fries and a fruit shoot. I also let him eat the grapes when going round the supermarket and I don't peel or cut them up either

Call the social services quick

muppetgirl · 07/07/2007 18:42

me too. b/f last one not doing this one will still leave baby in car when paying for petrol.

muppetgirl · 07/07/2007 19:45

well, I've just cooked myself pancakes with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce. MMMmmmmmm

It was pure luxuary to eat it hot and not have to worry about ds wanting this and that.

Will have a long hot soak in virgin vie stuff i bought last year but haven't had chance to use. Might even push the boat out and defuzz my legs

Hi les - They're still at it re konnor.

I'm thinking of starting a thread about treating your children equally but what happens if one turns out to be more well off than another? The one that has less-do yu help/give more too or is it what you do fro one you do for the other?

Will I get shot if I post this?

Evening everyone.

You have all been very chatty on here. I have been busy with housework and washing.

My parents have gone to Worthing today for a bowling hoiliday with the club they use to pay at whwn they lived here. THey drove down from Scotland yesterday and got here about 2pm. I had to get my downstairs all clean and tidy before they arrived. They will be staying will us next saturday night when they return so will have to get the guest room (soon to be nursery) sorted this week.

TLE I have also posted on your name thread.

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 21:25

ooppss Muppet me thinks me may have upset some ppl on my posting hee hee

TheLadyEvenstar · 07/07/2007 21:26

WTP, thanks I saw your posting...........

I just had to leave my last posting though lol

WinnieThePooh · 07/07/2007 21:31

They are just a bunch of stuck up ignoramuses (ignorami?) on that thread. Most of them do not appear to have read the OP properly.

j20baby · 07/07/2007 21:49

can't believe the name thread, there seems to be a lot of bullying, can't understand some people, wtp - you go girl!

well have just got back from pub with dd, she ate a full adults meal of scampi to herself, although she let me have 2 bits of scampi, and then she went and ordered herself choc fudge cake with ice cream, and paid for it herself, ate the ice cream, gave the cake to me and ordered another bowl of ice cream! hope she isn't sick
it was nice to go for a meal with her for a change, she's normally with her dad on a sat.

waited in all day and my baby bundle still hasn't come

MrsFish · 07/07/2007 21:52

LES - Just read your thread from the start... blimey some people, its amazing how much of a keyboard warrior some people can be when it is anonymous. FWIW some people called the names on our shortlist chavvy, but if we all agreed the world would be a boring place

muppetgirl · 07/07/2007 21:54

Have to say I loved it when you lovely ladies all waded in...

They are soooooo rude it's unbelievable.
