Glad to be of service :-)
Re the GTT- in which case they probably won’t repeat it, unless the result was borderline or you’re kicking out glucose in your urine.

Some of us just grow big babies, and the vast majority part with them as well as those with averaged sized ones.

Angelmiracle · 31/01/2019 20:31

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I'm taking 14 days leave before official mat leave begins and our new leave year only starts tomorrow! (Could maybe be 19 days leave at rate this pelvis is going!)

I hoped to work up to 38 weeks with DS and took extra leave to finish at 37 weeks. He was 7 days late too. I was so glad of it. Lots of napping done. No point being totally burnt out if it's getting tougher.

Eek I have just turned the calendar over to February and that means I am not that far to the finish line Shock

SquirtlesMumAgain · 31/01/2019 21:42

Whilst that is scary @wineandchoccy I am so ready for it now!

I know life will change again entirely, but I was just saying to my mum that at least I shouldn't be being sick every day and after healing should have some energy again! Would be genuinely delightful, but I bet I go overdue this time!!!

Wineandchoccy · 31/01/2019 22:02

@SquirtlesMumAgain I bet I go overdue as well. How early was ds? My waters went at 39 + 1 and she arrived at 39 + 4 so not that early but took me by surprise as I had no symptoms.

I feel so ill tonight I feel sick and have diarrhoea 🀒Sad

ballanj · 01/02/2019 00:44

@toastfiend so lovely to see your latest, huge congratulations! How wonderful to see you and baby are doing well. Wow it's getting real!

ballanj · 01/02/2019 00:47

I had a lovely work baby shower this evening, although at times it didn't feel like it was my baby shower as still surreal to me haha. Annoyingly my piles seem to be getting worse so off to Boots tomorrow to pick up Anusol.

I'm looking after my niece this weekend as my big sister is off to Vegas for 3 nights. My mum is helping out thank goodness, I reckon I'll be shattered come Sunday!

I'm now on countdown to maternity leave, just under 4 weeks to go now. Feeling more and more ready as the days roll by.

MistakenHoliday · 01/02/2019 06:29

Oh @toastfiend congratulations, he's absolutely beautiful! Hope you both continue to do well and flourish xx

Elizabeth134 · 01/02/2019 06:46

@toastfiend congratulations! He is a beaut!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 01/02/2019 09:10

Is sleep becoming increasingly more difficult for anyone else?
I spend the night tossing and turning then having to get up to pee and then trying to get comfy again!
I've woken up this morning and it feel like baby has dropped down. My rib cage doesn't feel as full and I can breathe properly again!

melissa112 · 01/02/2019 09:30

Sort of pregnancy related so hope no one minds me asking. We are having the baby in with us in our bedroom for the first 6 months. However I've noticed on the bedroom windowsill there is a Β£2 coin sized spot of black mould from condensation on the window.

Is it safe to use the Black Mould remover spray? Like the Cillit Bang stuff? OH would do it not me and he could do it in the morning and keep the windows open but not sure if it's safe to breathe that stuff in? We do have white vinegar so not sure whether this would work?

I'm really worried about baby being in there with any mould Sad

melissa112 · 01/02/2019 09:31

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever also finding sleep really difficult. Between heartburn, needing a wee and aching legs I'm not getting much more than a couple of hours. Always seem to be awake between 2-3am and then up just after 5 for work.

Gronk27 · 01/02/2019 10:05

@melissa112 I’ve used that very product in my bathroom with good ventilation. The general message is that cleaning products are ok in pregnancy (unfortunately!) I would prefer a bit of Cillit Bang over mould personally.

melissa112 · 01/02/2019 10:09

@Gronk27 thanks, glad to hear someone else has used it during pregnancy. I hate mould. Ok I'll ask OH to use it in the morning tomorrow and we can just ventilate all day. Definitely want rid of the mould before baby comes and knowing my luck if leave it much longer he'll come early and it'll still be there!

Wineandchoccy · 01/02/2019 10:53

TMI post ........... I have back ache, nausea, diarrhoea and think I have lost my mucus plug this morning - eeekkkkkk I’m not ready for things happening just yet

melissa112 · 01/02/2019 11:37

@Wineandchoccy oo how far are you? Will you ring the hospital?

Wineandchoccy · 01/02/2019 11:46

@melissa112 I’m 37 weeks on Sunday. I’m going to see how I go today I’m not in agony and no contractions

Gronk27 · 01/02/2019 12:10

@wineandchoccy sending you positive and relaxing vibes!

melissa112 · 01/02/2019 12:18

@Wineandchoccy hope all goes ok today. Eek!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 01/02/2019 13:22

Ooh thinking of you @wineandchoccy!

DS was 38 weeks +30 mins when he was born. Hopefully little madam will do something similar!

Hermagsjesty · 01/02/2019 14:11

@wineandchoccy hope all progresses well! Sending positive vibes

@SquirtlesMummyAgain my two were both born at 39wks and I’m hoping for around the same again! That’d be 3wks from now - enough time to get sorted (which I’m not yet!!) but not too long to go...

cardboard33 · 01/02/2019 14:39

@assumeitwassomethingclever with me it depends on the night, sometimes I'll be up from 2/3am onwards unable to sleep and then other times I'll be completely fine and won't even wake up for the loo.

I find my husband difficult if I'm having a "bad" night as I try my best to do everything quietly and he still moans in the morning that he didn't have a good night's sleep due to me etc and I'm like we'll neither did I and if you really hate it then we do have another 3 bedrooms but I'm not moving and fyi I am in the later stages of pregnancy with your oh so wanted child! I woke up the other night with the worst cramp I've ever had and was screaming at him to help stretch my leg out and he just lay there for ages and eventually turned the light on but still didn't do anything to help, so not sure what's going to happen when I am in labour and actually need him.

@wineandchoccy thinking of you!!

Sent out my going on mat leave "leaving" drinks invite today at work for late Feb. Ended up inviting over 100 people (my role means I work with lots of different teams & lots of different people on a daily basis) so I hope they don't all come as otherwise we won't have enough space in the pub.

Harley8888 · 01/02/2019 15:00

@cardboard33 I'm very tempted to kick hubbie out into the spare room. He was complaining to my family about how tired he is because he's not getting enough sleep because I keep waking him up going to the toilet hahah the poor dear Hmm.. to be fair we've both always been really good sleepers so it's been hard for both of us to adjust to new sleeping patterns.. I see it as practice for when little man arrives.

Anyone else experiencing a tender belly? I'm 33 weeks and my stomach goes through phases or being a bit sore to touch.

Angelmiracle · 01/02/2019 15:03

@Wineandchoccy ohhh my!! I was waiting on an update from you today as I was thinking that your comment last night sounded like start of things! @toastfiend maybe has got the ball rolling now Grin

Keep us updated!! 🀞

@cardboard33 @Harley8888 DH sleeps like a log he hears nothing!! Which won't be good when baby's here if the crying doesn't waken him lol.

My bump was really sore at the top right a lot of this week it felt like a boney little limb pushing really hard into my tummy I felt bruised! I'm 32 weeks today.

@Assumeitwassomethingclever my thigh bones get really sore when lying on my side even with huge pregnancy pillow. I'm turning constantly in bed it's really annoying no position is comfortable 😣
