I'm very happy to go round and have a chat 😉, you sound lovely and she needs a bit of this thread's #offyoufuck magic.

Toria73 · 19/01/2019 21:58

@stargazy thank you, you’re too kind. If I keep expanding like I have been the last 10 days I’m sure I’ll be able to physically squash & suffocate her 😂😂

Yukka · 19/01/2019 22:28

Thanks for the experiences on induction and hypnobirthing! Despite some being difficult its helped me think about the process being in stages Rather than one mass of painful days so breaking it down that way mentally is helpful for a control freak like me.... :)

Managed to clear some stuff into the loft today including a box of clothes. I’m surprised at how quickly I’m busting out of everything I own?

BeckyButterfly · 19/01/2019 22:38

@Yukka I am too! I can’t fit into anything apart from baggy dresses. I look like a house end already and I’m only 13+3!!

Twistering · 20/01/2019 09:28

Definitely starting to expand over here too, my jeans are still just about ok as old and stretched and high waisted but went out for dinner last night and put my trusty leather skirt on which is usually really comfy/pretty loose and had to wear it with the zip half down 😂 16 weeks Tues so guess it’s to be expected.

Going to a spa with some friends on Friday though and not looking forward to wearing a swimming cossie, my arse/cellulite situation seems worse than usual as well as the thick middle! Yes, I know I’m vain and pathetic! 😂

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/01/2019 09:33

I'm really stuggling this morning, I feel so fat and bloated , I've got a definite little bump but I don't really have anything to wear 🙈 when I wear maternity stuff I feel like I just look podgy but covering up with loose tops doesn't make me look any better 🙈

On the plus side, I ordered maternity leggings and have them on today, so comfy lol. I'm going to head to primark later and see if I can find anything that'll do me through this awkward "is she pregnant or just fat" stage lol

StargazyDrifter · 20/01/2019 09:40

Also 16 weeks and expanding rapidly here too. The usually baggier clothes are all a bit snug, and the new bigger bras I got a few weeks ago also tight already.

Does anyone know why I might have got a couple of tiny bruises, like bruise dots almost, less than 1cm? Is this some sort of symptom? They are definitely not from impact and both are around the top of my ribcage. They don't hurt, just a bit odd to see. Googling doesn't explain much.

SnailorSwift · 20/01/2019 10:09

Hello lovelies!!

I've missed out on an entire thread! Feeling very left behind but life has been busy!! Hope everyone is well. Looking forward to catching up again!

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 20/01/2019 11:29

Loving seeing everyone's photos!

I can't wait for my next scan to find out the sex.

I had my NIPT results, my hospital does the IONA test. All results were less than 1 in 50,000. Which I'm very pleased with considering I had 1 in 1800 for downs.

Does anyone know what happens at the 16 week midwife appointment?

BeckyButterfly · 20/01/2019 11:29

I keep looking at maternity clothes online but then thinking it seems too early for me to be buying stuff! I need leggings and jeans though because I don’t fit into any of my jeans and I’m having to wear leggings or tights below my belly which means they just fall down all the time!
Everyone has commented on how big I am already. I think it’s partly bloating as well because there isn’t much movement in the bowel department and hasn’t been for a good few weeks now 😂

cravingmilkshake · 20/01/2019 11:37

I can't hold it any longer- I've booked a private gender scan for when I'll be 17 weeks. February the 10th! Will be nice too as can take my mum as a surprise!

Yukka · 20/01/2019 11:47

@beckybutterfly I’m the same feel like it’s too early. I bought stretchy jeans from next 2 sizes up at Xmas and I had to un-do them last night. I’ll have to move to my dresses for a week or two then maybe invest. I’m only 13 w today and I’m actually half a stone lighter on the scales than when I got pregnant so I know it’s not me being a fatty!!

For the lack of movement! Grapes, and if you have an Asda near you OMG they do these delicious juicy giant black grapes - handful of those every day will help :) you can tell they’re one of my cravings I could eat the whole tub in one go x

Giraffe888 · 20/01/2019 11:50

I’m in maternity leggings and ditched my normal jeans weeks ago! The mat leggings are too big on the waist because I’m so slim normally so I tuck them under my bra 😂 otherwise I’m wearing tights and dresses but tights are starting to dig in now. I’ve also lost 1/2 stone since getting pregnant so I don’t see where the tummy has come from!

Beckanne90 · 20/01/2019 11:51

@StargazeyDrifter, I read the other day about platelets taking a natural drop in pregnancy as our bodies have extra blood supply so sometimes they can’t quite make up for the extra blood...pretty much same with HB levels which end up causing anemia, I always end up with that from 20 weeks onwards. I understand lower platelet levels can cause easy bruising (mine was 216 at booking bloods and I bruise if I even itch my leg 😂) give your midwife a call, she will give you better advice than mine, mines just a thought.

ohmybaby · 20/01/2019 12:37

Just wanted to share these amazing joggers from H&M - £8.99 and they come up high so perfect for maternity even though they’re not! I bought in the black size S, which fits me at size 10 and definitely will fit bump for another couple of months... going to buy more! Few more preggo reviews on there praising the fit. Really recommend!

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/01/2019 12:56

Well my shopping trip was pretty unsuccessful 🙈 I tried a few non maternity tops on just in bigger sizes but they all looked crap 🙈 think I'm just gonna have to cave and wear the maternity stuff , even though it makes me just look podgy 🙈

Toria73 · 20/01/2019 13:19

This in between stage is hellish for clothes. Every time I get dressed it’s an ordeal finding things that are both fitting & comfortable. I’m still looking like I’m in the I ‘2 Xmas dinners plus pudding every day in December’ stage.
Can anyone recommend where to buy black mat trousers for work - need to be smart for attending customer sites etc Tried New Look, H&M & Next but having no joy.

BeckyButterfly · 20/01/2019 14:43

@Yukka thanks for the grapes tip. I might try that. I usually hate fruit but I’m really trying hard to eat in now I’m pregz! I’ve lost over half a stone now so everywhere apart from my belly is quite slim 😂

I’ve caved and just ordered some mat leggings and jeggings from Mataram so we’ll see what they’re like!

BeckyButterfly · 20/01/2019 14:43

That should say Matalan!

CalmerComber · 20/01/2019 15:53

Can’t remember who was saying about tights but after extensive research in my last pregnancy I found Topshop maternity tights the best by far.

Not much update from me. The HG and twin shock are still dominating. Poor old DD. She’ll go from being my one and only to being one of three and that’s after having a crap mummy while I’ve been pregnant because of this bastard sickness.

TwinkleDay · 20/01/2019 18:52

Hi ladies I've had a shocking weekend. I went to tell a friend that I was expecting and just wrote in her birthday card and bump and we had a whole conversation about babies and x y and z. She's then text me and said that she feels able to talk to me about something, I was really worried as she's gone from a size 10 to a size 6! And she had miscarried twins!!!! I feel awful for her and I was sat there the whole time talking about me and Fred/fredricka. We have had a big chat now but it wasn't planned on her part and she hasn't even told her partner... she miscarried at 8 and 11 weeks 😭😪

Squ1ggle · 20/01/2019 19:25

Ah @TwinkleDay you weren't to know and the fact that she felt able to tell you afterwards is a really good sign that she trusts you and feels you can understand what she's going through

TwinkleDay · 20/01/2019 19:42

@Squ1ggle yes this is what OH said but she just has the worst luck poor girl. 😪 everything happens for a reason though I just hope this is her year

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/01/2019 19:46

Ah thats so sad @twinkle :( she's obviously a good friend though if she was still pleased for you and shared her news with you .

StargazyDrifter · 20/01/2019 22:10

Beckanne90 thank you! I will ask the MW at my 16 week appointment next week.

If anyone finds themselves having trouble sleeping around 4am, have a look outside at the moon, if it's visible. There's going to be a lunar eclipse. The next one isn't until 2029, to think our LOs will be almost 10 then!
