Our scan pictures were 3 for £10 but they gave us 4 because one of them wasn’t so good.

I think ours were £5 for 2 and you get the same whether it's your 12 week or 20 week scan

Morning all!
My toddler slept through last night for the first time in weeks, and annoyingly I was awake for an hour at 3am 🙈 woke up and couldn't sleep from thinking about the scan yesterday and googling nub theory 🙈
Will anyone else be having a gender scan?

I'm not sure when to book one! By my dates I'll not be 16 weeks for another 3 weeks but by the scan yesterday it's only 2! So impatient but don't want to book one by those dates and it's wrong/not easy to tell!

Morning! I won't be finding out the sex, but I am still looking at the nub theory to try and see if i can guess. It's a tough call - could you not just wait till 20 weeks if not sure?

We're too impatient lol. My OH wasn't even sure he wanted to find out this time but straight after the scan yesterday he said "I don't think I can wait that long to find out" lol. Think we're going to have a private one. It's only about £40 . It's also nice to have two separate scans confirm too, so if they tell us at the earlier one then we'll just keep quiet at the 20 week and see if they say the same !

Regina we're having a gender scan on February 2nd when I'll be 16+5 (that's the earliest we can both go). I really wanna know and there's also plenty of logistics to sort out with having so many other kids. Won't be telling people the sex though cos I CBA with the shitty comments if it's another girl. Personally I think a fourth girl would be amazing because then we can all dress up as the Spice Girls!! Yay

I have left finding out or not up to my husband and he's now started saying he thinks he'd like to find out so it helps him bond earlier.

I have had loads of vivid dreams where I have a baby girl but when I'm awake I don't have a feeling one way or the other.

It's such an odd think.

I can't believe that this time next year our babies will be about 6 months old!

I’m having one, it a week on Tuesday and I’ll be 16+2. @ReginaPhalange89, I’d book for when the hospital has dated. Baby is probably just measuring bigger than the typical. With my DD they dated me 4 days less than I was, and I knew it was absolutely wrong as it’s impossible to find out you are pregnant 5 days along which is what that scan was basically saying. I booked my private scan by my own dates and not the hospitals, I was 15+3 by hospital, 16 week exactly by my own, they got DD as 16+1 so she had caught up, it was absolutely fine they had no trouble seeing what she was.

@BirthdayKake, I got that a lot, I have four boys and with each one I got aww shame it’s not a girl. My 5th happened to be a girl and what I get now is...carried on trying for the girl did you? Hmm no I’d have been happy either way.

@Beckanne90 annoying isn't it?! It's mine and DH's first baby together so it's exciting either way.

Yeah that's part of the reason I want to know this time. We have two girls, I've announced the pregnancy and already had loads of comments about it being a boy this time 🙄 I've convinced myself it'll be another girl

It is very annoying. I think this one’s a boy and that will make it 5 so can’t wait for the comments...I get them about the number of kids I have too. The most popular “don’t you have a tv in your house” but my all time topper so far was 2 weeks ago when one of my customers husbands said totally off topic “you know what you should do? Go on pill so you can’t have anymore kids” we was only talking about chicken pox. Some people are just ignorant and rude...and that’s why I’m not publicly announcing this pregnancy until baby is here. Pregnancy is stressful enough without the added comments all of the time 😂. Aww @BirthdayKake that’s lovely, how exciting.

@ReginaPhalange89 I know 😂 I spent a couple of hours after that livid, but then I thought; it’s not my problem.

The television comment 😂😂 we would be rich if we got a pound for every time it was said.

I'd reply "We do have a TV but we prefer sex"

I love hearing about those of you who already have children and get comments about having more. People can’t keep out of other people’s business! Since I got married in 2017 (and actually before that to be honest) people have constantly asked me when I am going to have babies and start a family. I always found it so rude of people to think they can ask that! Especially since I have had a miscarriage in the past and was concerned I wouldn’t be able to have children of my own.

Also, I got my letter through about the screening and I am low risk (yippee!) 1 in 50,000.

If it’s any consolation, I got asked if my twins were natural so I said they told me at my scan that one would be made of fibre glass & the other plastic.

Yeah people ask questions and either they don't realise theyre being offensive or they just don't care . You never know the struggles someone is going through to conceive so asking when you're going to start a family is just so stupid.

I bet a lot of people don't mean any harm and don't think about it when they comment on the sex, but it really does hurt. I was so happy when I found out my second was another girl but I also cried straight after the scan because I knew people were going to think I was disappointed ! I think it's added pressure that this will be the 6th grandchild for my parents and so far all girls , so as well as people assuming I want a boy they also assume everyone else wants it to be a boy too! Someone commented on my post "please give your mum a grandson this time" . Like seriously? I'll just click my fingers and Grant your wish 🙄

@Regina I think you’re right re folk speaking without thinking. I’m sure I’ll have probably said something stupid/insensitive when I was pre-30s & living the ‘please don’t let me be pregnant’ years.

@Giraffe888 it’s crazy isn’t it? I was only one of 2 and we are 10 years apart so it did shock mum quite abit that I had so many. Many comments I just shrug off but the pill one really did just make me cross.

Unfortunately that person didn’t find it quite so amusing & is now bitching to anyone who will listen. Hey ho, in the list if the top 1000 people who matters, she doesn’t rank..
