@beckybutterfly it’s an awful feeling isn’t it! Fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow! X

Does anyone know if you can see baby moving at 12wk scan? X

Yukka · 14/01/2019 16:44

Hi Ladies, so I'm back from my 12wk scan, just having a quiet moment before the phone starts ringing :) It went really well, everything as it should be. Baby measures 5.5 cm and he measured Nuchal at 1.3mm which I believe should put me in low risk pending bloods - same as you guys they call in 3 days if its high risk or just wait for letter.

@Giraffe888 yes you can see them move - ours was wriggling all over the place and bouncing like s/he had hiccups. He took him ages to get the gestational measurements, then when he wanted to get NT baby stopped wriggling - I had to bounce up and down to get s/he to move so he could get sight of the fluid.

Its an amazing experience, fingers crossed for the rest of you this week.

Oh and my measurements are spot on, 12w1d, so my due date is fixed now at 28th July xx

I'm 12 weeks today and feeling so sicky 😷 I've had it so easy til now too! 😭 Feeling sorry for myself .
4 sleeps till my scan ! I can't wait now , feels like I've waited forever

BeckyButterfly · 14/01/2019 16:56

@ReginaPhalange89 I feel your pain! Mine is thankfully getting better but today hasn’t been so good. It’s probably because I’m all churned up about tomorrrow.

I’m just so desperate to have that experience of going for a scan and everything being okay.

Twistering · 14/01/2019 17:37

@Chinks @Tryingtobemum etc so sorry you are going through this. I really hope they snap out of it, it’s not like they can shrug it off/change their mind now. We all know it will be tough/life changing - in fact we know it, and it will be for us more than anyone!
As pp said, they need to be there for you too.

And as for the ‘its only cells’ etc what a load of bollocks. With the miscarriages I’ve had, understand being pragmatic about the early stages but it certainly is not just cells at 12 weeks. If it helps any, my anxiety got the better of me last week and I had a private scan at 14 weeks on the nose and they totally freaked me out by doing part of it in 4D unexpectedly. I can share the resulting pic which looks very much like a baby (albeit a bit Gollumy one) just two weeks on!

Chinks123 · 14/01/2019 17:57

I remember my last scan at 12 weeks and still have the photos @Twistering, he knows full well it’s not “just cells” I think he’s clutching at straws to push me towards abortion. We very luckily have never suffered a miscarriage and I imagine (and hope) If we did his attitude would change towards other people. Hmm

My scans tomorrow, nervous and excited now! Congratulations to everyone with good news today.

Giraffe888 · 14/01/2019 18:18

The 12wk scan sounds amazing and very different to early scans. I didn’t realise you’d see baby moving. I’m so excited for it now (still very nervous!) x

Giraffe888 · 14/01/2019 18:19

@twistering I’d love to see the picture! X

BirthdayKake · 14/01/2019 18:47

I'd love to see the picture too!

Chinks123 · 14/01/2019 18:54

Me too, went for 4d last time round and she wouldn’t show us her face. Paid a fortune for a 4d picture of an ear Blush

Twistering · 14/01/2019 19:00

Sorry, making dinner...hang on..

Twistering · 14/01/2019 19:01

Chinks - thinking of you for tomorrow. It will be wonderful regardless of who is or isn’t there for you x

Twistering · 14/01/2019 19:02

Here’s the bonkers pic!

Chinks123 · 14/01/2019 19:09

Thankyou so much @Twistering! It’s weird how I have more support on here than in RL Grin Beautiful picture, you must be so excited now x

NoParticularPattern · 14/01/2019 19:10

Just signing back in on here! Had 12 week scan today, all fine and as it should be. Measuring 12+3 so spot on for dates meaning I’m due 26th July (although if this one is anything like DD it’ll be well into August before it shows it’s face!!).

Hope everyone is feeling ok or getting towards that way! Couple more weeks and I should feel less sicky if DD was any indication of my usual!

BirthdayKake · 14/01/2019 19:15

OMG Twistering, that's beautiful ❤️

Good luck for scans tomorrow girls!

14 weeks today and still shattered and nauseous. Maybe it's because I've already got four kids vying for my attention! Just want to feel more human soon

AnnaBegins · 14/01/2019 19:15

Good luck to all those with scans this week, enjoy! Yes so much movement! Baby was batting at its nose like a cat, really cute. I love the 20 week one where you can see so much detail like the spine and stuff. This baby was much more compliant than DS who was curled up and had to be coaxed out with a cold sugary drink!

TwinkleDay · 14/01/2019 19:36

@Twistering wow that's pretty incredible! But yes golum like!!! And that's 14 weeks ? X

TwinkleDay · 14/01/2019 19:38

Also I am now 16+4 and I am so thirsty today I have drank over four litres of water.... anyone else drinking like a fish ?

StargazyDrifter · 14/01/2019 19:44

Twistering that's so lovely! Take that, "just cells"!

Giraffe888 · 14/01/2019 20:02

@twinkleday I feel really thirsty every day and have done for quite a few weeks.

Those of you who’ve had your 12wk scan, did you relax a little after the reassurance of the scan? X

MyloC · 14/01/2019 20:29

Hi ladies
Hope it’s okay for me to join back in. I haven’t really posted since the first or second thread because I was so anxious it was ridiculous.
Had my scan Friday and I’m now 13 + 2 the scan was really a magical experience.
Good luck to people still waiting for theirs 😊

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 14/01/2019 20:31

@TwinkleDay yes! Ive been so thirsty. Before being pregnant I'd never need a drink in the night. Currently I'm waking up and going through a pint most nights.
So days I've been drinking constantly. I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow.

RooKangaroo · 14/01/2019 20:35

Sorry everyone, I just need a quick rant and to get this down somewhere. No need to hand hold or reply - putting it down will help in itself.

WHEN THE FUCKITY FUCK WILL THIS SICKNESS AND NAUSEA STOP? It is so debilitating, every day and every night, and it's wearing me down. I can barely work, I can't eat properly, I can't spend time with my toddler properly. How much longer until this eases and I get at least some semblance of my life back? I am so grateful for being pregnant (especially as this one took so long), but I'm struggling all the time and I just don't know what to do.

And.... breathe.....

BeckyButterfly · 14/01/2019 20:39

@RooKangaroo I felt exactly the same last week. I ended up in the GPs office bawling like a baby. I felt so hopeless and it didn’t help that I felt like everyone had that “you’re just pregnant” attitude. As if I should just be getting on with it and I was being a drama queen.
