I've some A/L to use before April so going to take last week of March off to do the Nursery. Need to sell the furniture in there, then decorate, new carpet, blind & light so not too bad. Can't wait to do it I love all things interiors, pretty much planned it all out in my head - ha! I'm sure I'll browse Pintrest.

Slept a bit better last night and feel full of life today. 3 loads of washing done, been shopping, meal plan done for the week, kicked the other half into gear to sand and gloss the porch so I can paint tomorrow. Watch me feel rubbish tomorrow!
I'm back to work Tues can't wait to get back into a routine!!!

BirthdayKake · 06/01/2019 16:31

@AnnaBegins I think I would struggle to put any sling on!

thedust · 06/01/2019 20:52

We started the big clearout this weekend! 3 bags filled up to take to the charity shop, the nursery is looking a bit more empty. Still lots of sorting to do and we need to get rid of some bits of furniture, but I'm glad I'm making a start now while I'm feeling better.

Also been researching new cars. We need one big enough for a dog crate and pram. Currently our dog is in a crate on our back seat but that won't be very practical when baby is here.

On Tuesday I'm starting a new aqua-natal class which I'm excited/nervous about. I've been getting some pelvis pain (although it has improved the last few days) so I want to keep active but also in a low impact way. I'm worried about making the pelvis pain worse so thought a proper class would be best. Hope I can do some yoga when the next yoga course starts at the hospital in February too. What is everyone else doing exercise wise?

ememem84 · 06/01/2019 21:02

I’ve just joined a new gym for 6 months. And signed up with a trainer today - she’s pre and post natal qualifies so have 10 sessions with her initially plus the gym on my own. I’m also riding once a week (no jumping after 6 months though).

I did an aqua class last time and i really enjoyed it but it was free with my old gym membership. Now they’ve changed it so it’s not. And is £12.50 a time. I rarely swim anyway so may give it a miss.

HchyScott · 06/01/2019 21:25

So ladies I need some advice/reassurance. I’ve had on and off siactic pain and back pain when moving in bed ect. Today I’ve had pain across my pubic bone so I was thinking I might have a water infection. Googled it and now I’m thinking it might be pelvic girdle pain, has anyone had this in previous pregnancies? This is my first and being only 14+2 weeks and a hairdresser so on my feet all day with a history of lower back pain im wondering if I should be doing something to help now before I get bigger, I’ve barely got a bump at the moment 🙈

Sorbfsiabs · 06/01/2019 21:26

Is there a fb group yet ladies?

TheScaredyKat · 06/01/2019 22:08

@HchyScott Yes I've got exactly this problem, it's getting more and more painful especially during/ after walking and if I sit cross legged it aggravates it aswell. Went to the GP last week and got a referral to see a physio asap.

TheScaredyKat · 06/01/2019 22:14

@HchyScott went for a dog walk today and now I'm waddling like a penguin. It's quite painful! If I can't exercise during pregnancy I'm going to be the size of a house!

HchyScott · 06/01/2019 22:25

@TheScaredyKat mine started after I wrapped Xmas presents on the floor before Xmas, the siatica was ridiculous, I was limping round the salon for a week! I’m seeing midwife on the 22nd so I’ll monitor it until then. I just thought it was the stretching and moving but I hadn’t put all the different pains together. Out and about with my 4 year old nephew tomorrow so I’ll see how i am after that!

TheScaredyKat · 06/01/2019 22:47

@HchyScott yes that's when I first noticed that sitting cross legged was a problem when I got up from wrapping Xmas presents!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 06/01/2019 23:09

Hi ladies, can I join? I'm not exactly sure of my dates, I'm either 14 weeks or 10 weeks. I had a weird bleed 3 weeks after my period and put it down to being a weird period, but as we weren't ttc, never actually took a test. I got really sick not long after that with a weird bug, I was mainly fine with waves of nausia and throwing up every now and then. The sickness bug never really went and around 3 weeks later I took a test which was a strong positive. I realise now that the weird bleed probably wasn't a period and the sick bug was morning sickness 😳 Either way I'll be induced early and so it'll be a July baby.
This is baby number 5 for me and I have a booking in with the midwife tomorrowat 9am. Hopefully I can be booked in for a scan ASAP!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 06/01/2019 23:16

Hchy, sitting crossed legged is never a good idea. Get a referral for the physio from your midwife and get a decent bump support band. I know you're not showing at the moment, but posture is everything. Your physio should help with the band either giving one to you, or telling you a good one to get.
Being on your feet all day get some decent shoes with proper soles and don't wear heals, they won't help. When you sit don't slouch, sit up properly, again posture is anything.
I had horrific spd with my 2nd and ended up on crutches and almost in a wheelchair. She turned out to be almost 11lb 😱 I've never had one that big or had sciatica that bad since!

StargazyDrifter · 07/01/2019 00:18

HchyScott, thedust and ScaredyKat, I'm also worried about possible PGP. Other threads have recommended the Pelvic Partnership website and going to see a pregnancy-savvy osteopath sooner rather than later. It's really uncomfortable when it gets going. Mine is in my hips and inner and outer thighs, also lower back/tailbone.

blueeyedviking · 07/01/2019 07:58

Morning everyone

@Notanotherpawpatrol Welcome and congratulations!

Im telling work today and very nervous about it. Its a very male dominated environment and not known for being supportive. They also offered me a promotion pre Xmas but with the condition that i won't leave soon (over 50% of the team have left the last year) although they can't do that really... So cant wait to have that conversation!

I'm almost 14 weeks. Is anyone still struggling with extreme fatigue? I'm still so exhausted and just want to sleep all the time. Any tips?

HchyScott · 07/01/2019 08:18

Thanks for all the advice re PGP I’ll definately speak to midwife and gp about it x

Notanotherpawpatrol · 07/01/2019 08:44

Blueeyed, your not leaving, you are going on maternity leave. If they retract the offer then you need to get hr involved. It's literally illigal to discriminate on the grounds of pregnancy and maternity leave. You have so many rights and are covered by law here x

ReginaPhalange89 · 07/01/2019 10:04

Morning all!
Glad to have some routine back today, kids back to school, OH back to work, just me and the little one ! We're at soft play and its blissfully quiet compared to last week with the school kids !

11 weeks today, I haven't really started making any plans yet. I'm trying to decide what to do about double buggy's and the one we already have, can't seem to get a proper answer about my Oyster so think we might just have to buy a second hand one and get rid of what we have.
I'm not sure what we are doing about a room yet ! We have 4 bedrooms, 2 kids already have their own room . So we do still have a spare room , OH uses it as a gym. We might just wait til baby is here before we start doing anything to it. He/she will be in our room to begin with anyway !

Michelle0507 · 07/01/2019 12:47

I just tried panting one wall in the porch and I'm shattered, felt so full of energy yesterday shame it didn't last. I tried to sit on the floor and gloss but my groin killed and now my hip kills, urgh! I'll sit a d snuggle my cat instead. Lol

Kentishgal · 07/01/2019 13:12

Scan all ok, 13 weeks tomorrow. Just got to await the blood results.

Notanotherpawpatrol · 07/01/2019 13:19

Michelle, I've found sitting on a hard floor can be really painful. I have a cushion that I pop down when I get on the floor :)

Notanotherpawpatrol · 07/01/2019 13:23

I went to my midwife booking in this morning and I've been booked an emergency appointment with the hospital midwives. They need to book me in (Community didn't see the point as I was going to the hospital, so they will do it all together) take my blood, scan me and do all the regular midwife checks as I'm booking in late 😳

Michelle0507 · 07/01/2019 14:47

Hope it goes well and you don't have to wait long @notanotherpawpatrol

Giraffe888 · 07/01/2019 18:41

Hi ladies

Can I join again? Not sure if any of you’ll remember me but I was on this thread end Nov/beg Dec but I had to take a break as I was worrying myself from reading too much into things.

We had an early scan after some spotting at 6 wks and all ok then we paid for an early scan at 8 wks and again everything was fine and we heard a strong heartbeat ❤️

I’m 11 wks tomorrow and have my 12 wk scan on the 18th x

mrsof20118 · 07/01/2019 18:47

Hey again @Giraffe888 glad to hear you are doing well. Around the same dates as you

ReginaPhalange89 · 07/01/2019 18:49

I remember you @Giraffe888 ! I'm 11 weeks today and have my scan on the same day as you .
Glad to hear things are going well!
