I've had Chinese food and Milk Tray and I'm now on sofa in my jammies watching some films with DP. Not sure whether I'll make it to midnight or not! Happy New Year, everyone – a big year for us all ahead! xx

AliceRR · 31/12/2018 20:54

I fancied Nandos (well weirdly what I really wanted was their mango nectar juice...) so DH and I went there and then decided to watch a film as we were next to a cinema and just got home. I got such restless legs towards the end of the film though!! At one point thought I might have to google ways to deal. Ignoring it was not an option!

Anyway, I’m home now, going to but my PJs on. Happy New Year to all of you. Looking forward to 2019 and meeting my little one like I’m sure you all are xxx

Lulabell1 · 31/12/2018 21:00

@notquietagandt Yes baby can come aslong as doctors give the all clear she is perfectly fine and a healthy weight. I keep looking at her and thinking how was you just inside me she looks huge.

Yakadee · 31/12/2018 21:06

@Lulabell1 - crazy isn't it! It really is amazing what you've done (and what we're all doing). This is why I just can't understand why people take it for granted / brush it off as 'just being pregnant' - we're all ages!

Congratulations again, I hope you're both home soon xxx

Yakadee · 31/12/2018 21:15

*awesome not ages! Bloody auto correct xx

powkin · 31/12/2018 21:16

Happy New Year Ladies. Hopefully there won't be any more new arrivals before 2019!

2 down... how many to go? Not sure how many of us there are now!

Little Pip is celebrating the New Year by kicking me in the ribs/liver area. I'm mainly on the sofa watching No Offense and DH is trying to put together a changing unit so we can put a load of the baby supplies away. Would be good to get most of the hospital bag together before 2018 is done!

DeliberatelyGinger · 31/12/2018 22:36

Neither me not DH are making it to midnight! I'm bed now. My body went into its auto shut down, get in bed now, mode.

Since2016 · 31/12/2018 22:52

Have been asleep on the sofa for the last hour... just woke up. May force myself to stay awake for an hour...

Haha. HNY ladies! X

Alicejj8x · 01/01/2019 00:12

Happy new year :) xxxx

bubblybrit · 01/01/2019 00:31

Happy New Year 🥳 xxx

beckyxo · 01/01/2019 00:45

Happy New Year everyone! Can't believe this year I will become a mummy! xx

Eyedontknow · 01/01/2019 07:40

Happy New Year to everyone and congrats to @Lulabell1 !! It seems crazy we can suddenly have a real baby with us at any moment now!

Braxton Hicks (?) have woken me up this morning. I've had about 3 in 30 minutes and also started getting period type cramps low down yesterday (like the dull ache I get before my period starts). Are these normal things? How often are Braxton Hicks supposed to happen?

Yakadee · 01/01/2019 07:49

@Eyedontknow - I've never had them but maybe it's worth a call to midwife? I haven't heard people complain about the ache at the same time? (It's probably fine but maybe will put your mind at ease) x

TinyMarie · 01/01/2019 07:58

Hello @Eyedontknow. I'm knew to this thread but also due in Feb. I'm currently in hospital as I began getting that period type pain on Sunday but without the Braxton Hicks. In my case it was a bad UTI which I am now being treated for. They have told me it can feel like early labour so always best to get these things checked out Smile

Eyedontknow · 01/01/2019 08:07

@Yakadee yeah, you're probably right I should just call. Just feel like I'm being silly and wasting their time. It probably is a UTI @TinyMarie , I've had about 4 of them this pregnancy already so wouldn't be surprised.

TinyMarie · 01/01/2019 08:12

@Eyedontknow Bloody horrible things aren't they. I've had high levels of protein so they were concerned about Pre-Eclampsia and admitted me but it's looking like just a bad infection. I've had better New Year Eve's!

Yakadee · 01/01/2019 08:20

Oh no, poor you all suffering! At least baby's will be here soon xxx

Surprisedmom · 01/01/2019 09:26

Happy New year everyone. Can’t quite believe 2019 is here and our babies are so close to being with us in the world!

hayley013 · 01/01/2019 10:02

I'd give them a call @Eyedontknow as I'm sure I've heard you can expect lots of BH at this stage but not tightenings and pain together. I've had period type pains low down on and off in the last week but they literally last a few minutes then go, think it's baby's position in my case as she never stops moving xx

hayley013 · 01/01/2019 10:03

Happy New Year everyone, feels so bizarre to say we are due a baby in just over 6 weeks 😳 I must get sorted this next week xx

Welshshepherdess · 01/01/2019 10:05

Happy new year all. Had a chilled evening fixing the zip on my hospital bag 😆 with DD having a proper little party in my belly- Howe this morning gone very quiet (think She partied herself out) which is quite strange considering I usually take a battering off her most mornings.

How more days of work you all got left- I’m finishing on the 18th and will be induced the following week if not arrived sooner. 13 days to go!!

@Lulabell1 congratulations! she was wanting to see in the new year with you!!

Welshshepherdess · 01/01/2019 10:06

Yakadee · 01/01/2019 11:00

@Welshshepherdess - 6 working days for me!!! 🎉🎉🎉

I have my consultant appointment this Friday to get my section date - I'm 35+2 now so should be in 3 or 4 weeks! X

bubblybrit · 01/01/2019 11:19

How exciting for you @Yakadee!! I’m 33+3 today and getting a little impatient to meet the little one 😀!!

emalady · 01/01/2019 11:24

2 days of work left for me, Wednesday and Friday then I'm done! Can't wait as finding it tricky to concentrate. Once I'm off I'm going to crack on with acupuncture, dates and sitting on the gym ball. Really don't want to go over 40 weeks!!
