Hope no-one else has started a new thread, I couldn't find it if so.

Just wanted to send hugs of support to Holly. I hope it all goes well.

Will check in tomorrow if I can to update.

Good luck!

Hi DKMA, sorry, I did get your email, but forgot to reply! Just sent you the photos. Hope you are doing ok. It's amazing how quickly once you've had the baby that you forget what it was like to be pg, and all the discomfort etc. Of course you have a whole new level of discomfort to contend with! But it's just a rollercoaster. One minute you are sobbing your heart out because you ache all over and are so tired and baby is wailing. An hour later and you're like, this isn't so bad, we can do this!

Dreading DH going back to work on Sunday though He has been a lifesafer. God knows how people do this on their own.

annobal · 25/06/2007 08:58

Morning all. Has there been any more babies in the the last couple of days? Or is this a lull before the storm?

Bumper - poor DD? Do they know what caused it? I'd love to see photos as well - can you re-post your email address?

I'm off to the gym this morning then may go to the park this afternoon.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 25/06/2007 09:53

Waiting for MW to come for visit - having another sweep!

Bumper - I'm finding it really hard to imagine what it is going to be like on the other side but from what everyone is saying - the rollercoster thing is totally normal and is something we just have to ride for a while! You sound like you're doing great tho!

I'm gonna go check the photos out now - back in a min.....

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 25/06/2007 09:54

Annobal - GYM! PARK! So your not suffering from agrophobia like me then??

Very impressed!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 25/06/2007 10:05

Bumper - Just seen the email and sent you a reply.
She's so lovely

foxybrown · 25/06/2007 10:24

Morning all!

Bumper, she is lovely! Have also replied.

DKMA, how many days over are you now? LOL at 'Breakdown or Baby' - its a fine line, one follows the other thats for sure!

Annobal - now I feel bad! I might go to the gym tomorrow - you make me feel guilty, but that's not a bad thing

I had another evening of false labour. All settled down when I went to bed. Had a big contraction in the night, but just the one. Things are definately happening, but I suspect I'm feeling it more because I've had so many! Could be hours, days or weeks. Who knows?!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 25/06/2007 10:29

Mornng Foxy

I'm now 5 days over
I reckon you'll go before me - I'll be last!
I'll be here knockin about on my own in July - replying to my own posts - no one for company except the dog (getting my violin out!)
I don't know how TA managed it for 16 days! And she seemed so upbeat.

Glad it wasn't a breakdown for you last night

foxybrown · 25/06/2007 10:31

I wouldn't be so sure! I think I'll still be here, despite everything thats going on. She's just getting my hopes up - I'm still hoping for 2 weeks time, but have tried to sort out my school runs today, just in case!!

How are you feeling anyway? Excited, pissed off, nervous?? Like a hippo - I know I do!

justbeme · 25/06/2007 10:34

Morning Foxy/DKME/Bumper.....
Didnt get up till 10 this morning!! Lovely (make the most of it!)

Are we all of the veg at home way of thinking - waiting in anticipation then??
or do you have any thing nice planned this week?
I dont.

foxybrown · 25/06/2007 10:43

HA! Do you know, it never actually occured to me to book anything nice in?!

Its vegging and waiting, waiting and vegging all the way for me this week and next. And perhaps the week after...

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 25/06/2007 10:52

Am in total veg mode.

Spent the weekend trying to keep busy and distract myself thinking that a watched kettle never boils etc - but just kanckered myself out!

I took the dog out on Friday afternoon for a 2 hour treck around the fields and village - I felt like a fat Forest Gump (from that bit in the film where he just kept running) - I was thinking I could just keep walking till the baby came out! But it started to rain and I was sweating like a pig so headed home.

Only thing planned for this week is reflexology on Wednesday.....oh what a busy life I have!

What can we do that is not knackering, publicly humiliating, and can help relieve the bordom?

justbeme · 25/06/2007 10:53

IKWYM!
Am off to take the dog for his walk -
he wont poo in my garden (which is good normally) - but am worried how I'll cope after the birth.
I suppose if he's really desperate he'll have to go!!

BTW looks like one of my boobs has sprung a small leak - good sign?? and the nip is sore to touch (wtf havent started feeding yet!!)
be back later

annobal · 25/06/2007 11:25

First time at gym in AGES so definitely don't be impressed. I think I will definitely be the one knocking around here on my own in July, after previous scares this baby just doesn't want to move.

Don't know about you guys but I am definitely trying to avoid people - I hate the whole 'you still here' scenario! I also saw a friend on Friday who proceeded to tell me a horror story (birth related which I won't give the details). Some people just have no idea.

I now have 25 mins before picking the boys up from creche - the countdown is on...

annobal · 25/06/2007 11:25

JBM - definitely a good sign - looks like it won't be long for you!

justbeme · 25/06/2007 11:44

back again !
DKMA - hope the sweep wasnt too painful!!
I dont think I had one last time round and I went 10 days over and started naturally - I dont THINK I will bother this time either.

Ohh you think its a good sign Annobal??!!!

BTW DKMA, how did you manage a walk for 2 hrs - one was enough - did you have to pop behind a tree for a loo break or were u wearing a Tena lady??

daisyboo · 25/06/2007 11:54

No-one about?.....

oh well.....

Bumper....cheers for the e-mail....she is so beautiful, and what a gorgeos name...wish I'd thought of that one

weather is really crap here today, with flooding at the end of our road, so we are house bound...again! not much of a visit for my poor old mum, but a change is as good as a rest as they say!

hope you few remaining are keeping their spirits up......DKMA, keep bouncing!

Still wondering about Catsuitgirl? I'm sure she said that they wouldn't let her go beyond her due date and would be inducing her then. Her last post was on 12th June.

hollyandalice · 25/06/2007 11:57

I'm here daisy!

Having trouble with william's middle name, going to register him in a bit, it's very tricky, we can't agree!

justbeme · 25/06/2007 12:05

Im here - just keep popping off to do things!!
We had beautiful sunshine - then I got back from walking the dog and within 2 minutes the heavens opened - I was very lucky!!

Bumper - like Annobal said - if you dont mind posting yr email again - we'd love to c your photos!!

Have you got some old photos you could go through with your Mum Daisy?? I love doing that esp if the weathers crap.

Holly are you going to spill the name options?

hollyandalice · 25/06/2007 12:09

Isn't the weather shit? I was really looking forward to Wimbledon, but that has gone tits up!

Dp is getting shitty, he wants his middle name to be Robert after his dad, but I think his dad is a twunt and doesn't deserve the honour! I like James or Thomas, but dp says that if the middle name doesn't mean anything then he's not having one! Grrr...I'm getting cross!

Diplidophus · 25/06/2007 12:27

thought I'd pop by and see who's left. I'm feeling very down. I'd hoped to spend some qulaity time on my own before te baby was born lounging by the pool at the gym and sitting in the garden. The weather is horrible.

I'm so unfomrtable and beginning to feel as if the baby will never arrive. Feeling a little nmore positive today having had my show. I had a look on threads on here which say that it may mean that it will be soon it may still be days away. Sigh. I have just repacked my bag just in case!

justbeme · 25/06/2007 12:31

I take it you cant have 2 middle names Holly??
LOL about the "twunt" - I would feel like that as well!!

Hi Diplid.. when r u due? Good news about the show!

Diplidophus · 25/06/2007 12:33

30th.

I pop in to say hello occasionally but there's always too much activity on this thread to keep up!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 25/06/2007 12:37

I'm back

MW just been and done another sweep
Weather is awful here too - she only just made it as a lot of the roads are flooding.

The news is that my cervix is still soft and ready and she could get 3 fingers in (sorry for TMI), she could feel the waters tight over the babys head and she said I could stretch to 3 cm dilated!

So why am I not getting contractions?????
She thinks I'm going to pop any minute. So I'm feeling like a time-bomb!

Good news is that if I do continue to over and need inducing - then she says I probably wont need the drugs as they could get in a break the waters now if they needed as the cervix is so open

Oh god - I feel like I need a pooh (sorry again TMI) - back soon!

daisyboo · 25/06/2007 12:37

Has wimbledon been postponed then....I don't know why they don't move ot to a more reasonable tme of year...this always happens (well maybe not as extreme as this, but YKWIM)

Holly....sorry your having this battle with DP....names are such an emotive issue. When DS was born we had a similar situation, so ended up giving him two middle names. Would that be a reasonable compromise in your situation?

Hi there Diplodophus....when's your due date? It could be any time now of you've had a show...at least things are on the move for you. Are you going to keep us entertained with a live birth thread? Could you ask your MW to do a sweep?

justbeme · 25/06/2007 12:40

Oh your due a day after me then !! Im due 29th. The spped on this thread has totally dried up now as most are on teh post natal thread - so stick with us!!

DKMA - maybe the poo is the beginning!! Reading lots of birth stories, apparently alot of women confuse the 2 "feelings!!"

Rains stopped and suns out in Herts now.
