Hope no-one else has started a new thread, I couldn't find it if so.

Just wanted to send hugs of support to Holly. I hope it all goes well.

Will check in tomorrow if I can to update.

Good luck!

Just had a blip JBM! How are you?

MW on her way to assess me - should know in an hour or so whether I'm in labour or not.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

hollyandalice · 03/07/2007 13:49

Fingers, toes, arms, eyes, but not legs crossed for you foxy! Am going to do some chores, but I shall be back in a bit and will be expecting some full on contractions and pushing (without poo)!!

justbeme · 03/07/2007 14:14

Who hoo Foxy!! Youre having a home birth arent you???
Im sure as this is No 4, it'll pop out no problems!!
Let us know (Cant keep Heavily PG women in suspense for too long - its not fair!).

oh err its thundering here!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 14:21

Woo Ho foxy.....I hope you are in labour....we miss having you around as the calm and sane voice of experience and reason!!

Gotta feed DD then do the school run...will check back on you later....Good Lcuk

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 15:06

2/3 cms. Watch this space.

DONT GET EXCITED!!!

justbeme · 03/07/2007 15:07

Well done!! We'll all be watching (the space that is!)
Are you in pain??
Have you had a show ?

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 15:10

No!! Had crampy pain all morning with irregular contractions, so I called the MW team for advice. She said she'd pop round.

Had tea, spent an hour, examined.

EVERYTHING HAS GONE AWAY [pissed off]

She did a good sweep so hopefully ....

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 15:11

Called DP home from work, he's now taken the kids out and is doing school pick-up.

MW reckons it should kick off 5-7 pm. Tea and bedtime then. Bloody marvellous!!!

sputnik · 03/07/2007 15:15

Come on Foxy, you were begging to go into labour the other day, are you getting cold feet? How about some more dancing round the kitchen, maybe you can kick things off sooner, then you'll be done by bedtime

Seriously, good luck and keep us posted, are you going to start a birth thread?

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 15:18

Yes, when I'm actually doing something. Have been texting Derlor today too, so channels of communication well and truely open.

Might go and get the baby leopard print number out ....

How are you doing? I can't wait to join in! Just don't want this to be another false alarm.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 16:07

Wow Foxy....you may have your baby by midnight! Babyboo is late to bed so i'll keep popping in!

How bloody marvellously exciting.......a foxcub at long last!!

Klaw · 03/07/2007 16:26

Foxy, you'll need to start your own thread now so we can watch.....

Remember to ignore 'it' just now while your body is doing all it's behind the scenes work. Rest, eat well, eliminate frequently and keep well hydrated. Some brisk walks and take the stairs sideways

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 17:25

childbirth thread

toomanypies · 03/07/2007 17:44

hey there Foxy- sending you loads of good luck labour vibes - and hopefully I'll be joining you - was woken this morning by definite contractions, kept going til about 5am, then fell asleep...woke at around 8am with NOTHING . Bloomin heck. when is this going to end?!

had a few cramps today, esp when walking around, but nothing major... every time it feels like it's kicking off it fades away again... sooooo frustrating.

but - we just had the most amazing thunderstorm - hailstones like gobstoppers and the whole street under about 3 inches of water... good job we live near the top of the hill... just as i was getting worried about the midwife getting stuck on her way over here, the sun came back out again phew... maybe the thunder will scare the LO out of its hidey hole?

TALLULAHBELLE · 03/07/2007 18:11

Thanks for advice Claire. Saw my h/v today but she didn't have any advice, just wasn't particularly worried about LO's weight as she appears healthy & alert. Have an appt to see b/f support @ hosp tomorrow morning so will see how that goes. She said to avoid topping up with formula though so am more confused than ever .

Good luck Foxy & Toomanypies.

foxybrown · 03/07/2007 18:29

Thanks everyone

Toomanypies - I felt bad abandoning you after you just got here! Needed a few days to get my head around things and have a RL! All this baby talk was giving me too much of a focus.

Glad you are well, sounds like your stop/starts exactly the same as mine. Its just too much of a rollercoaster emotionally.

Right, DP being useless, am going to sort things out so I can get cracking!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/07/2007 18:51

tallulah.....keep on with the bf as often as possible and see what they say tomorrow...and remember, you're doing a great job!

claire74 · 03/07/2007 21:17

Tallulah, Thats really good that your hv isn't concerned with weight, they're are the most trained people to know if her weight is ok. Mothers that I see in my job who have a similar problem to you, I would also advise not to give top ups of formula also, as this is just going to make the situation of building up your milk supply harder, however i didn't want to advise you as I haven't seen you in person, but now your hv has said she isn't concerned I would say if your happy to do so to drop the top ups and be confident in your supply.

justbeme · 04/07/2007 16:03

Well, am back from MW - head still engaged.
Have told her that I dont want a sweep nor to be induced - so they will call me on monday when I'll be 10 days over to talk about going in for monitoring.

Braved the Town Centre today and went and had my hair cut - it was getting on my nerves and I thought if I didnt do it now then It would be hard after the birth and would have to get a mobile hairdresser to come round. Think they've cut my fringe too short though, so may look abit odd in the post birth photos!! LOL.

Any body else around?

foxybrown · 04/07/2007 16:04

Annobal and Diplodicus you've both been very quiet... where are you?

foxybrown · 04/07/2007 16:05

Yes! I'm here - sorry x-posted!

How are you feeling about it all?

justbeme · 04/07/2007 17:35

Yes, they are VERY quiet arent they?? Ladies???

How am I feeling about it all?? Fed up, heavy, pains in my fanjo whilst standing up and getting going...
I reckon that whatever you try to get things goin - the LO will only come when its ready....

But for certain - we WILL have our babies in the next say week?? Just hope I get to use my TENS and that the Pool is free when I get to hospital.

foxybrown · 04/07/2007 17:40

I just wish it would either kick off or not. I could wait quite patiently if nothing was happening. Or get on with it. But to be not knowing sucks!!!

justbeme · 04/07/2007 17:46

I do feel for you Foxy - So you are having contractions but they're not building up to much is that it?

foxybrown · 04/07/2007 17:56

They are uncomfortable and painful - kept me awake for a lot of last night. Then nothing and life carries on as normal

Started again about 3.

Went for a long walk this morning, and cut the grass and raked the garden.

Am tired.

And a bit self-absorbed too!

sorry everyone!
