Hope no-one else has started a new thread, I couldn't find it if so.

Just wanted to send hugs of support to Holly. I hope it all goes well.

Will check in tomorrow if I can to update.

Good luck!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 20:18

Nope. stuff all. Had a 'hot' nandos for lunch, mango smoothie, got some chopped pineapple in the fridge.

Just can't face any shannanigans with DP!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 20:19

Night night! Fingers crossed for you Dip

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 28/06/2007 20:55

Hiya!

Welcome to Toomanypies!

Well the arrival of the June babies seems to have come to a grinding holt this week doesn't it?
I am now 41+1 and pissed off!

I have been having some rl interaction today - yes - real people!

DH has been working from home today so we went out to a local garden centre place for some lunch in the coffee shop there. I then went to see my horse at the stables and saw some of my horsey buddies (and was laughed at for being such a lump still). Then I went to the garage to fill my car up with desiel ready for any kind of hospital dash?

It was all very exciting! I also bought a magazine - but will save that for tomorrow cos I just don't think I could cope with that excitement today too!

I would say to those of you who have had sweeps today 'oh something should start to happen soon' but I've had 2 sweeps now - one on the 18th = 2cm dilated & very soft cervix, then the second on 25th = 3cm dilated, very soft, baby's head pushing down with waters pulled tightly over his head - and NOTHING has happened yet

I hope that you have better results than me from your sweeps

Have made DH promise to shag me later - even tho he's terrified of waters going in the middle of it! Needs must I say!

daisyboo · 28/06/2007 21:09

lol DKMA at the thought of waters breaking mid-shag!....make sure you are over the kitchen table at the time

sounds like a good day. lulus advice is to plan something lovely for every day so you're not just sitting around waiting.

are they talking induction? and would you go for it, or do a "TA style" expectant management?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 28/06/2007 21:21

Hi Daisy

Maybe we should be doing it over the bath?

I have a check booked for Saturday (10 days over) then another one booked for Monday - then they will want to induce on Wednesday (42) but I will ask them to let me go until Saturday - because my dates work out that he wasn't actually due till 23rd not the 20th as the hosp said - so 7th July would be 42 wks. I will have to wait and see what they say - and that he's doing alright in there etc.

I am really trying to stay active - but it's so hard cos i feel like such a lump of lard! No clothes fit etc. I'm hoping for a nice day tomorrow so I can take the dog out for another long walk (and do my Forest Gump treck around the village again!)

Can't wait to come and join you lot on the PN thread! Sounds like you're really doing well and are on top of things. Glad you got your outfit sorted for your big day out!!

daisyboo · 28/06/2007 21:25

well, it will be sorted if i can shift some lard before next week.....18lbs down another 10 to go to be pre-pg!

PN is very very quiet. I'm feeling like norma no mates most evenings....mind you if we didn't have wireless and me my ancient laptop, i wouldn't be here either!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 28/06/2007 21:49

Daisy - 18lbs! That's bloody brilliant! Well done!

How are you doing it? Or is it just coming off with the bf?

Looks like everyone else has buggered off to bed now!

daisyboo · 28/06/2007 21:57

just coming off with the bf as i've still been eating lots of magnums and sweets (can't get enough sugar, LOL)...and cheese..been pigging out on cheese. I think a few weeks of ultra healthy eating shoukd help.

I suppose its not so much the weight as the saggy flabby untoned belly thats the problem!

night night!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 28/06/2007 22:02

Night then.
Hope you get a good nights worth!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/06/2007 01:51

Okay

I don't know if I am imagining things here, or if I am over reacting but - I think I've started having contractions?

Trust me to start when everyone is in bed

I've got the contraction timer on - as they seem to be happening about every 10 - 15 mins at the mo?

I wish I knew if this was for real or not?

MarsLady · 29/06/2007 02:06

Turn off the contraction timer. It will slow you down.

Now.... what's going on with your body babe? (And I mean it about the timer!)

MarsLady · 29/06/2007 02:13

I'm off to my bed.

Now...turn off the timer. What you want are your contractions to be lasting 45 secs or more consistently. Then you want the gap between the contractions to come down to 3-5 mins. Don't watch the timer. Try to rest. Sleep if you can. You won't sleep through labour.

If the pain keeps you awake, when you don't like it get into the bath. See if that helps.

Walk a little. Make figures of 8 with your pelvis. Go to the loo at least every 2 hours and make sure to eat and drink!

Will check in on you again in the morning. But in the meantime...........

TURN OFF THE BLARDY TIMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/06/2007 02:14

I've started this I'll post on there - and the timer is off!

lulumama · 29/06/2007 07:16

those timers ought to be banned !!

foxybrown · 29/06/2007 08:41

DKMA, good luck - posted on your other thread. really, really hope this is it for you. It IS going to happen, honestly, and soon!

Happy due date to us, happy due to date to us, happy due date to foxy and JBMeeeee, happy due date to us.

Feeling slightly depressed about it..

hollyandalice · 29/06/2007 10:14

hollyandalice · 29/06/2007 10:40

daisyboo · 29/06/2007 10:48

justbeme · 29/06/2007 12:34

Morning (again!!) -
Ohh how exciting about DKMA!!!!

Happy "Birth" day to us Foxy - (Not!!)

Back from dog walk - God I feel totally exhausted today. This due date seems to have taken AGES to get to.

I asked the Midwife if my theory was correct and she said it was -
when I had my DD - my cycle was about 40 odd days and I went 10 days over with my DD, b4 this pregnancy, my cycle was about 28 days - so theoretically - I should be on time!

Now to quash that theory - tell me if you had an overdue baby, was your cycle longer than 28 days??

daisyboo · 29/06/2007 12:40

sorry jbm....with DS my cycle was 25 days and he was induced at 12 days post dates

justbeme · 29/06/2007 13:01

DOh!! What about any body else??

annobal · 29/06/2007 13:05

Afternoon all,

Had a really shitty night AGAIN. Thought I might have been going into labour but....nothing!

To carry on from last night - yes, Foxy I am shitting myself - both about the birth AND how on earth I will cope with a newborn AND 2 DCs.

Hope everyone is well. I am now off to catch up on what I missed out on...

DH is on his way home - YAY!
