Hope no-one else has started a new thread, I couldn't find it if so.

Just wanted to send hugs of support to Holly. I hope it all goes well.

Will check in tomorrow if I can to update.

Good luck!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Twiga · 27/06/2007 20:53

Just a very fast up-date. Saw consultant Mon and they've booked me in for an elective section on fri if nothing has happened beforehand - am now 40+3. Various reasons for decision, am gutted and not up for much chat about it all as was very much hoping for VBAC. So, I guess if not before, there'll be news from the Twiga camp on Fri sometime. Going in to be clerked tom from 2pm, get out overnight and back frist thing in the morning fri. All the best to those of you still waiting and extra hugs if you're now over due!

daisyboo · 27/06/2007 21:01

Hi Twiga......sorry about the c-section, I know you were hoping for a vbac . But at least you know you'll see your LO soon, and you never know, you may go by yourself before then

Derlor...he loves her, but is always patting and cuddling and kissing her and trying to pick her up....she likes him though and you can see her wee face lighting up whenever he is near. He thinks she gives him kisses, but she's just rooting...its really quite sweet!

Twiga · 27/06/2007 21:07

Thanks daisy, just feel very sad about it all just now, am slowly pulling myself together though.

derlor · 27/06/2007 21:10

Twiga for you, but the result will be the same in the end and you'll have a beautiful wee baby to cuddle really soon x
Daisy, DD1 always tries to stick her nose in DD2's mouth when she is rooting!!!!

derlor · 27/06/2007 21:21

right, i'm off to catch some zzzzzzz while i can, night night x

bumperlicious · 28/06/2007 08:27

Just popping into to say hi! Hope we have some more babies soon. LO just sleep a 5 hour sleep and a 2.5 hour sleep with no apparent wind - I've slept 6 HOURS! Yay! If I wasn't married already I'd marry my cranial osteopath!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 09:07

Morning all.

Twiga - am sorry to hear about your c-section, sounds like you don't really another . Are there any alternatives? Can you wait any longer? You'll only be a week over on Friday, won't you?

Whatever happens, good luck with it. Daisy has only positive things to say about hers, so if you need any support, shes fab!

Am keeping my fingers crossed for DKMA today. Hope its your day honey!!!

I'm not twinging or ANYTHING now. Thankfully DP is taking the boys to school and he's under instruction to tell everyone it was a false alarm yesterday, as I'd told everyone I'd have a new baby by today!! Ho-hum!

Right, am taking DD to nursery, garden centre quickly and sat on arse for a whole 2 hours before MW. Am going to ask her to check me, as I'm sure all these false alarms must have done something. 40 tomorrow. This baby isn't going to be early after all!!!

justbeme · 28/06/2007 10:04

Morning!!
Annobal - you'll like this - I had a S* nights sleep!!
Woke up at 4 and didnt go back to sleep until 6 something!!
Serves me right for the previous night doesnt it!!

No nothing here either........

Oh yes, can someone putme out of my misery - I lay in bed for ages trying to work out what YANBU (i think) means - seen it in a few posts on other threads and its not on the acronym list. Go on.. tell me!!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 10:14

You Are Not Being Unreasonable!

Or,

YABU,

depending. Personally I avoid those threads like the plague!!!

Good to know we are still in it together JBM!

Been up since 5, thanks to DD. Usually she's very good, but she's really cuddly at the moment and a bit needy of me. Can't think why?!

Does your DD have any reservations? I mean, she's suddenly going to have to share you I suppose. I know she's much older, but I was wondering, with teenage angst and all that looming - lordy, you'll be getting terrible twos and terrible teens together! Yikes!

Diplidophus · 28/06/2007 10:20

Hi to those still around. I am so sick of waiting now.

Twiga, I hope all goes well for the CS. I know how disappointed you must be. I am also aiming for a VBAC. I have another week beofre appointment to see the consulant. As others have said - focus on the baby!

I have a sweep booked this afternoon, please let this bring it on!!! I am bored. I was looking forward to a littel time to myself but have no energey to do anything and just feel guilty about all the chores that I should be doing!

How are you all keeping yourselves entertained?

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 10:28

When's your due date?

I am currently sat on my ball watching Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife. How sad am I???

justbeme · 28/06/2007 10:29

Thanks Foxy - God I'd never had got that - (and I wasted alot of sleep time trying!!!! LOL)

My DD is very excited - I think she'll be a great help - I obv havent told you.... she doesnt live with me - she chose not to when I moved 2 yrs ago (Ive been devastated and on AD etc)
She wouldnt leave her school (she's since changed and gone up to 2ndry) and her Dad didnt want her to move 13 miles away.
So this new LO could change the whole face of things - it MIGHT make her want to come back, there could be jealousy, I really dont know but am bracing myself .......... /and who knows?

Diplidophus · 28/06/2007 10:35

Due on the 30th - what about you?

I can't quite face daytime tv (although keep forgetting about ER in the mornings).

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 10:39

29th, same as JBM.

I hope it all works out with your DD JBM, I'm sure she'll be a lovely big sister. Must have been hard for her and you at the time.

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 10:40

I have considered getting the lawn mower out and doing the garden. But have forced myself to sit on my arse whilst children are out at school/nursery.

Now the suns out, it is tempting to get out there, but it would be madness.

Wouldn't it??

Diplidophus · 28/06/2007 10:44

Could this be nesting?!

You never know being on your feet may help it along.

You'll prbably find you do a couple of stripes and give in!

Have you got names sorted?

justbeme · 28/06/2007 10:45

Definately, unless you want something to happen??!!
Just go and sit in the sun and relax I'd say!!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 10:48

I've nested, there is nothing left to wash .

I think we have named her Eve, but the others don't like it! Why I should take any notice of them I don't know. DS1 told everyone DD was called Mavis when she was born!

How about you both?

Diplidophus · 28/06/2007 10:53

No nesting here. The house is a tip and I really can't be arsed!

Ignore all comments on your choice of name, Eve is a lovely name. We havn't told anyone for that reason.

We have decided on our girls name: Lara.

Absolutely stumped if it'sa boy. I used to wonder how on earth people would send out brith announcements without a name. I'd think that after 9 months you surely had time to decide. If it's a boy we will be one of those!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 10:56

I love Lara - it was one of my favourites! Good choice I think

Its only the other children whose opinion I count - I don't understand it when people start threads on here asking for people's opinions on names. Why do that to yourself?!

justbeme · 28/06/2007 10:59

Eve is a lovely name Foxy and I do like Lara too Diplid.
We havent decided - am taking a list to hospital.
Its funny this time round I probably am more sure of a boys name - yet I think I may be having a girl!!

right - off to walk the Mut (comes round to quick for my liking!) - speak later X

Oh and Ive decided to wear a pad today - Ive got this weird feeling that for the 1st time my waters are going to break whilst im out!! LOL

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 11:05

Good luck!!!

bumperlicious · 28/06/2007 11:26

Hi all,

Foxy, Eve is a lovely name, but if you do decide you want to nick DD's I will be nothing but flattered!

I've gone from not watching TV at all really pre baby to watching all kinds of crap, This Morning, Cribs, Newlyweds, and this trashy little american speed dating programme called Next and lots of News24!

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 11:36

I used to love all the birth programmes on discovery health! Can't watch them now!

I really have to force myself to sit on my arse sometimes , but I do like This Morning - except on a friday when that bloody Eamon Holmes and his wife do it. Can't stand them.

foxybrown · 28/06/2007 15:13

ow, where is everyone??

I've just got back from the MW, she reckons she could feel the baby's head, but my cervix was quite far back, but v soft. She said she reckons this weekend, but I think that's just cos she's on call and wants to do a homebirth with nice biscuits!! She tried to do a sweep but doesn't think it was successful.

So I am none the wiser, I just know that there's nothing happening!!
