Starting a new thread as we near the 1000 comment mark on the Part 2 one!

It is nearly December and I am sure all we want for Xmas are healthy pregnancies and babies Star

Good luck to everyone still here and so sorry for how many we have already lost on the way Flowers

Thank you! Why is it when you're waiting for something like this (or similarly when in the 2ww) time just goes so painfully slowly...yet if you go on holiday time flies by in the blink of an eye!

BettySwoll0cks · 20/11/2018 12:53

@ReginaPhalange89 I'm feeling the same, I hit 12wks in mid-Jan and so a scan at about 9 weeks (before Christmas) would be nice. But I'm holding my nerve until I've been to the EPU this Friday, when I'll be 6+2 ish and then I'll decide what to do Confused It really is the most torturous wait!!

silverrose56 · 20/11/2018 13:05

Anyone else finding that they only want to eat junk at the moment? I made DS a lovely lunch of pitta, hummus and salad and then proceeded to eat super noodles for my lunch 😳

TwittleBee · 20/11/2018 13:12

Super noodles are my life atm silverrose56 and I don't usually like them haha

HallowsandHorcruxes · 20/11/2018 13:46

@ReginaPhalange89 that's exactly my plan ! I'm 4 + 1 as well and have no chance getting through Xmas and my 30th bday not drinking etc without anyone realising! so I'd like to get a scan the week before Xmas as a reassurance and so we can tell close family then Smile

Laburna · 20/11/2018 13:46

It's amazing how much difference in age/gestation there is within just a month. That and the fact that the last few dates in July may not even realise they're pregnant yet!
I'm definitely with you on the junk food silverrose56 anything which easy and fairly bland is up my street....also anything which will give me a boost of energy! Feel like I should start making an effort to get more veg and good stuff in me now!

StargazyDrifter · 20/11/2018 14:51

Good news Kentishgal! And useful to know that you're high priority in terms of ectopic, so if there are any more pains you can get seen promptly.

I'm not massively into junk food at the moment, genuinely craving fresh stuff and bland stuff. It may yet change...

Really struggling a work today. Why is everyone in this office eating something?! The smells! 🤢

Meg1389 · 20/11/2018 15:05

I had a scan today at 6w+6 all ok as there were concerns it could be eptopic with the pains I was experiencing a week or so ago. But all good and there was a tiny flicker of a heart beat!
Rang and spoke to the midwife and I have an appointment for 2 weeks time. I’m briefly mentioned about anti sickness medication but she thinks I’ll only really be prescribed anything if I’m actually vomiting a lot which I’m not but just feel so sick all the time . Anyone else suffering bad with nausea?

Delilah7 · 20/11/2018 15:12

@Meg1389 me every single morning proper heaaaaaaving!!!

Meg1389 · 20/11/2018 15:17

@Delilah7 oh I’m sorry. Sad
I just keep telling myself it’s a good sign and obvs be worth it but struggle to lift my head off the pillow or leave the house and worried about trying to work with it whilst feeling so shocking. I keep thinking it might ease next week Smile but probs not!

itslilsebastian · 20/11/2018 15:20

Just booked myself a private scan at Window to the Womb. I'll be 7 + 2 when I go at the start of December. I won't be able to wait much longer without driving myself mad with anxiety!

MyloC · 20/11/2018 15:21

Glad to hear all okay @meg1389

I’ve booked an early scan I’m only 5+4 and time is going sooooo slow. I’ve booked for one 3 weeks today I’ll be 8+3. This is my first and really just want confirmation there’s a baby in there!

Onestep2 · 20/11/2018 15:21

@Meg1389 my naseua comes in waves until I'm sick and heaving for a while then usually resides and is manageable again.

No real pattern to it yet. Sunday it was about 10am, last night I had to leave spin class early to spew, and today was in work toilets at lunchtime bolking. Lol sometimes it's before I eat, sometimes after.

I'm also a mix of wanting savoury things to wanting melon and banana to not wanting anything. I've not had much of an appitite but have been forcing food down my gub.

itslilsebastian · 20/11/2018 15:23

@MyloC I'm the exact same! I'm so scared they'll just be nothing in there

amanda2809 · 20/11/2018 15:23

@itslilsebastian I was looking at their site as they have one near me (Leeds/Farsley). I'm really tempted to book a scan for next week. With my son I didn't have any extra early scans but this time I feel I know so much more about miscarriage, even though it's never happened to me, I'm pretty anxious.

itslilsebastian · 20/11/2018 15:24

@amanda2809 If it'll give you peace of mind then go for it! I just know I wont be able to relax and enjoy Christmas without knowing there is something there and that there is a heartbeat. Do whatever is best for you!! X

SnailorSwift · 20/11/2018 15:27

@Meg1389 I feel for you. Been suffering awful nausea too. Been sick a few times but the nausea is constant.

Got sent home from work today. Came home at 12 and promptly passed out on the sofa, only just woken up!

Meg1389 · 20/11/2018 15:39

@onestep2 it’s an awful feeling isn’t it. I’ve been eating quite dry bland foods and eating little and often even when I really can’t stomach food at all. If It sticks to this pattern on coming on in the afternoon I just might be able to sort something with work where I work from home if I can in the afternoon. My boss knows and is understanding. It doesn’t help though that I have a phobia of being sick Confused
@snailorswift feel for you and I hope it eases soon! I keeping thinking at 12 weeks it will get better... it just seems so far away!

amanda2809 · 20/11/2018 15:40

@itslilsebastian I'm hoping I'll get my 12 week scan date before xmas (I'm 12 weeks on 22/12) - If it's after xmas I'll probably book a private one so I feel better about telling some elderly and young relatives!

Onestep2 · 20/11/2018 15:49

@amanda2809 I'm 12 weeks on 22nd December too! I got my 12 week scan date for the 27th December... I was disappointed it wasn't before Christmas so I just phoned them and they changed the scan date to the 21st December! Result!

Laburna · 20/11/2018 15:49

I had really awful sickness - nausea rather than being sick - up until about 7weeks. It seems to have lessened over the last few days. Mine is definitely sickness because I'm hungry more than anything else, but most food with a smell still turns my stomach. I feel like I can smell food a lot more than normal - though one of the signs that I was pregnant was because my pillow smelt, even though it hadn't the day before!

I think nuts and crackers have really helped. I've been buying these things by Dr Karg, they're little square crackers in 3 different flavours, really dry and hard but enough substances to feel like it's settled my tummy. Bonus points for them being healthy and DS loving them!

amanda2809 · 20/11/2018 15:59

Ah that's good @Onestep2! Hopefully I'll be able to do the same, as we usually go to visit my parents in Surrey (we live in Yorkshire) after christmas and over new year.

Meg1389 · 20/11/2018 16:03

@laburna my partner is making fish pie tonight which I’m not having but the smell!! I’m def more sensitive to smell. Used to love coffee but the smell of that makes my tummy turn too!

BettySwoll0cks · 20/11/2018 16:33

@Laburna mmmm Dr Karg... that's a great shout. I love those.

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/11/2018 16:33

Ugh I am dreading the sickness ! I had it bad with both my girls from about 6-14/15 weeks and its the worst 🙈 I used to run along the road to work to throw up in the toilet haha. I actually just used to feel so nauseous that Id stick my fingers down my throat because it helped to actually be sick. Yuck 🙈

I had a real craving for orange ice lollies last time and feel like I really want one today!
