I don’t like to complain when everyone is suffering from all sorts of anxieties and real worries but im 8 +3 according to pregnancy plus app and acne has taken over my whole chin!!! Has anyone got any tips on what to use to help? I’m guessing it’s down to a surge in hormones. At the moment I’m just using a simple anti blemish moisturiser but it’s doing naff all. They are proper cystic lumps so I think anything topical is a lost cause but willing to try anything safe if anyone has suggestions!

Buggles1 · 25/11/2018 21:38

@Hchyscott I’ve been using Zineryt, prescribed by the doctor and given the ok for use during pregnancy. They say just avoid using it too near the lips or nostrils. Works a treat for me. I think we’re also due at v similar time, I’m 8+2!

HchyScott · 25/11/2018 21:46

@Buggles1 ah amazing, I’ll definitely ask the docs about it. Years ago I was on antibiotics for it but I know you can’t have those or lots of different treatments as they can be so harmful to unborn babies so I’m relieved to hear there’s something!

Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 22:20

I too am ridiculously bloated! I can’t eat much at all without feeling soooo full! X

Meg1389 · 25/11/2018 22:24

I’ve ended up buying a sleeping bra from ASOS today due to my boobs killing on a night time! Don’t know how good it will be but shall let you know. My boobs just seem to have grown rapidly in the last week and they are so sore and tender!
@hnchyscott I’ve been getting spots on my forehead and chin and I used the dermalogical skin clear range I think it’s called ( it’s got green writing on the front) I didn’t realise until after I bought it it’s actually for teenage skin! But it has done the job for me. I bought an overnight clearing gel as well which is part of the same range. There a lot cheaper than the dermological products from the adult range too ( think the facial wash was £17).

Georgeofthejungle · 25/11/2018 22:40

@pancakes22 😂😂😂

HchyScott · 25/11/2018 22:40

@meg1389 thanks I’ll check those out too!

Meg1389 · 25/11/2018 23:09

@hchyscott sorry it’s called clear star by dermalogica

DD2 just came into our room to ask for medicine as she has a sore throat... and now my brain is whirring and I can't get back to sleep! We told my two older dc (from my previous marriage) about the pregnancy as we were so excited and we just wanted to share it with them. But we SWORE them to secrecy. I then get a text from a mum friend saying 'X (her kid) has its told me Y's (my kid) mummy is having a baby?! Is it true or just kid talk?' 😩 I just texted back 'haha wishful thinking I think!' And now I feel awful as I've basically made DD out to be a liar 😂 Just too early for it to spread though. Will be happy for people to know once we've seen peanut on a scan on the 9th Dec.

Laburna · 26/11/2018 06:42

Good luck today @jojobunny! What time is the scan?

Frazzlerock · 26/11/2018 06:51

Ooh @Jojobunny good luck!

Morning all,

I'm waiting in my car at my parking spot 'near' the station (nearish as all the spaces disappear by 6:30am).
Just listening to the radio and catching up with personal correspondence.

I've got 15 mins to kill before I need to start walking to the station so thought I'd say good morning.

I've actually run out of clothes that fit me. I've one pair of maternity jeans which I'm wearing again today because I've nothing else that's clean! I want to buy more maternity stuff but I've asked DP for clothes for Xmas so can't go too mad.
The shirt I'm wearing is super tight around my tummy but is loose everywhere else so looks ridiculous. But if luck everyone at work knows now else they'd think I'd been at the mince pies already (I actually have)

Ah crap, I need a wee again so gonna have to walk to station early and use their freezing cold toilets...

Happy Monday all Brew

blueeyedviking · 26/11/2018 07:42

Morning all

Hope you all for some sleep. I'll be ordering some new sleep bras as well after a sleepless night..

How are you both doing @smerlin and @aide2424 ?

crakpot1 · 26/11/2018 07:56

Morning all,

What if anything is helping you with your nausea? I can't believe how bad mine is this time, it's awful :(

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 07:59

Morning all

I’m ok just still very bloated. Boobs not as sore today as they were yesterday. My first day back at work since finding out as was on holiday last week x

TwittleBee · 26/11/2018 08:01

Morning all,

How's everyone on this drizzly Monday?

crakpot1 chocolate helps me. Probably not the best thing to eat but really helps control it.

In an odd mood today, hate this limbo. I have a private scan booked for Thursday, had it booked from when we first found out as I wanted a reassurance scan. We decided we will still go to it as it should at least help me prepare if things are bad when we go for our 3rd NHS scan on Friday. My sister went into labour last night so now waiting for the news today. Weird mix of emotions with that. Keep thinking there must be hope though if I am still being sick and have sore boobs?

AIDE2424 · 26/11/2018 08:01

Still waiting on my blood results I keep asking I feel like there avoiding telling me because it’s bad new but that could just be my paranoia 😩 feel like a pin cushion today! Keeping fingers crossed 🤞🏻X

blueeyedviking · 26/11/2018 08:11

@Crackpot1 For me it helps to eat small portions frequently.. Pretzels and cucumber are my go to at the moment and I don't go anywhere without snacks. But then I also have days when nothing works.

I hope this week goes fast for you @Twittlebee - the waiting must be nerve wracking... crossing everything I have for you.

@aide2424 I hope they tell you as soon as they know. I'm sure they aren't keeping it from you on purpose.

Jojobunny · 26/11/2018 08:12

Scans at 12. I had a dream last night that we had a baby girl called holly. Said to dh and he likes the name :)

Jojobunny · 26/11/2018 08:12

TwittleBee · 26/11/2018 08:37

@crakpot1 I've no sickness yet but all the things I've tried last pregnancy..... Sucking sour sweets, small sips of ice called water, sniffing raw ginger or eating ginger biscuits, eating before you get out of bed in the morning , like have a packet of dry biscuits by your bed. Do you have sickness bands ? If not I'd get some , they don't wake away the sickness but they definitely eased mine

Delilah7 · 26/11/2018 08:45

@Jojobunny love dreams like that.
We have ours picked out :) first names and middle names mean something ( apart from bots first name )
Eva Mary
Ethan James :)

Onestep2 · 26/11/2018 08:51

Think for sickness cold wet things help me lol like ice cold water, melon, ice lollies... that kind of thing.

Currently sitting in my car outside work. So much to do today and can't see it far enough 😑

crakpot1 · 26/11/2018 08:53

@blueeyedviking, thank you, I will give those a try.

@ReginaPhalange89 yeah I have the sickness bands I felt they worked for a few days then didn't.. I will put them back on today maybe they are taking the edge off. Yeah I have crackers by my bed too.. I will try your suggestions! Thank you 😊

Chocolate?! I'll give that a try too!

Thank you all for replying it's just nice knowing your not the only one who feels so rough with this, feel like I can't even get excited I feel that poorly.

Got my booking in app today too, it says leave time for 3 hours!! It better not be 3 hours long. Was only half hour last time.

MakeAWhish · 26/11/2018 09:01
