@twittlebee they didn’t seem that bothered to be honest! DH said he expected that response!

I rang my doctors and they’ve booked me in with a nurse

Have any of you ladies suffering with morning sickness got any remedies that work?

Looking forward to hearing about your scan! X

ratherbeshowjumping · 23/11/2018 08:59

Just catching up - @TwittleBee what a worry for you :( keeping my fingers crossed for you today.

I was also wondering about flu jabs - I have the most awful cold/cough at the minute.

We are going for another scan tomorrow - I'm panicking slightly as not having any of the "one bite sickness" or any cravings at all... 8 weeks today

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 09:01

Giraffe888 I guess some people are pretty chilled about kids, especially if it seems like it is the next step for a couple to make?

Ah okay, I will see if my surgery does them, I only see the bloomin pharmacists advertising Flu Jabs, thank you

No remedies that work for me. Really bad today. All that seems to work for a bit is to eat but then like 5 minutes later I chuck it up so... I dont think it works haha

Oh god you poor things being sick! Don’t feel amazing but definitely not like that must be awful!

Bit behind but hope everyone ok @TwittleBee good luck with scan and @Frazzle glad your back/feeling bit better

Congrats to anyone new I’ve missed!

Twistering · 23/11/2018 09:05

Hmm two Weetabix definitely not cutting it this morning..

BettySwoll0cks · 23/11/2018 09:33

I'm just off the EPU for my scan. Fair to say I'm terrified.

Good luck later @TwittleBee

ReginaPhalange89 · 23/11/2018 09:55

Good luck girls having scans !

I've just called my GP surgery about the flu jab and they said it's the midwife who gives it now so I have to wait and speak to her at my booking in appt ! It's not for another 3 weeks and then I'll likely have another few weeks to get an appt for the jab so let's hope I don't get ill before then !

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 09:57

BettySwoll0cks FX for you x

Good luck ladies having scans!! Xx
It feels so weird to say I'm 7 weeks 3 days pregnant today. I never got passed 5 weeks last time so I'm rather happy. Especially with how my bloods are.
Scan is Thursday and midwife appointment is Friday! Woooohoooo. Feeling lousy every morning though, hair cut tonight 😍

Kentishgal · 23/11/2018 10:03

Reginaphalange that's crazy - I'd explain the situation to the GP - they must have some vaccine at the surgery. Luckily I had mine at work a few weeks back but my surgery have said anyone can come in for one now. So silly that there's such a difference.

Twistering · 23/11/2018 10:24

Good luck @BettySwoll0cks

Frazzlerock · 23/11/2018 10:25

Morning all,

Good luck to @BettySwoll0cks and @TwittleBee for your scans today.

Re sickness, I can't help you I'm afraid as I'm not getting any of it - well sometimes slight nausea (very low level) but I wonder if I'm making it up or it is wishful thinking or something. Sorry to those who are really struggling physically.

@TwittleBee I had my flu jab a couple of weeks ago. I didn't have to prove anything. I just booked an appointment with the nurse at my GP surgery who did it for me, no questions asked. She explained about the whooping cough one at about 20 odd weeks.

@Delilah7 I know what you mean. I am (supposedly) 9 weeks on Sunday. Since my scans I feel completely in the dark about where on earth I am! I have to say to people I am 8+6 but actually could be anywhere between 6-9 weeks Confused

It's making the daily preg app updates very confusing! Has Popsy got little arms, legs, finger and toes, or are they still a little prawn?
I can't see how they are still that little given my ovulation date and when I tested +ve, but I guess time will tell. Maybe it is possible to get a +ve test before you've even conceived Wink

Giraffe888 · 23/11/2018 10:37

@reginaphalange could you ring midwife see if they can squeeze you in just for you jab? I know you can pay for it at boots.

@bettyswoll0cks good luck x

Giraffe888 · 23/11/2018 10:38

What apps are you all using? I’ve got pregnancy+ but wondered if anyone recommended a different one too? X

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 10:39

Morning Frazzle ! Thank you for letting me know about Flu jab. Erm, let me look at the app... I think they are still basically a prawn but limbs are starting to form now by looks of it? Really wish I still had my day by day pregnancy book (gave it to a previous colleague though)

OP posts:
Delilah7 · 23/11/2018 10:41

@Twistering until they say anything major different at my 12 weeks scan I will continue to go off LMP I think! It's easier 😂

BettySwoll0cks · 23/11/2018 10:46

They are running soooo late at the EPU. I am literally going to pee my pants in a minuteShock

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 10:46

BettySwoll0cks oh god not good! Thank you for reminding me actually, forgot about the whole drinking 1L before you go

OP posts:
Frazzlerock · 23/11/2018 10:48

TwittleBee - development does depend on what week you are at and if you have no idea (like me) then it's a ll a bit confusing! As @Delilah7 says, I will probably go off LMP until my 12 week scan so I am imagining eyes (fused shut), little arms and legs with fingers and toes, and a nice placenta starting to take over - which I am clinging to for my lack of symptoms!

@Giraffe888 I have them all! Flo (as was using as a period tracker), Ovia, Pregnancy +, Baby Centre, and Bounty - I only knew about the Bounty one from my Bounty pack that the midwife gave me

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 10:52

Giraffe888 same as Frazzle, really love the pregnancy+ one.

Does anyone have any good pregnancy diary apps? Especially for bump shots? I want to start taking them from today

OP posts:
BettySwoll0cks · 23/11/2018 11:08

I just went and asked reception how far behind they are because I desperately need to pee and after minute she said just go and pee. I'm guessing I'll be here for a while yet...

Frazzlerock · 23/11/2018 11:13

@TwittleBee Babycentre has a bump pic feature called 'Bumpie'. I've been doing one every two weeks from 4 weeks so I have three now. Deffo saw a big difference already by week 8. you can then put them together as a slideshow.
I'll grab mine so you can see what I've got so far...

Frazzlerock · 23/11/2018 11:16

Sorry, slightly 'oversharing'!
I hope MN puts them in order...

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 11:16

BettySwoll0cks surely at least an hour then? Make sure you get drinking again I guess! Sorry you have such a wait, not the best of places to have to hang out in either.

oh yes thank you Frazzle I shall download it now! So excited. I want to get a stretchy bodycon dress to do it with!
