Starting a new thread as we near the 1000 comment mark on the Part 2 one!

It is nearly December and I am sure all we want for Xmas are healthy pregnancies and babies Star

Good luck to everyone still here and so sorry for how many we have already lost on the way Flowers

Please someone tell me this is normal... most mornings I wake up heaving, have some breakfast then I'm fine for the rest of the day then late afternoon/evening I literally feel like I'm hungover 😣 headache, sicky feeling and generally unwell?? It's every day now 😪

StargazyDrifter · 22/11/2018 22:18

The train loos and the 'squirrel nemesis' made me chuckle.

Have been catching up on all the news. edidxb sorry you're having a worrisome time and everything crossed for you. Frazzle glad to hear you're doing better! itslilsebastian all best to you for tomorrow. itsallgreek lovely to see you back here, glad all is well.

My sense of smell have been extraordinary today. Someone was eating a banana in a meeting and it made me really 🤢, I think they might have have a more robust meeting than they'd bargained for! Must be nicer tomorrow.

Boobs still sore, tired, butterfly-type tummy feeling and, back by popular demand (not!) the bloat. I've also still got this terrible thing where I think I want a particular food, get it, take a bite and go all 🤢. One-bite casualties all over the place, and poor DH!

Treated myself to a nice walk through the park on my way home, all misty and atmospheric.

StargazyDrifter · 22/11/2018 22:25

Giraffe888 I definitely would, see discussion earlier in this thread (thread 3) about the risks of getting flu in pregnancy.

ffiffi8 Absolutely normal. We were discussing on here, I think last night, that some of the symptoms feel like a hangover! How many weeks are you? The symptoms peek around 7-9 wks. Hang in there! (I'm 7+1 today)

ffiffi8 · 22/11/2018 22:30

I'm 8 weeks today, I'm off this week thank god because symptoms have been getting worse, hopefully they won't be too bad next week 😐

StargazyDrifter · 22/11/2018 22:42

Good call to have some time off! I had mine in week 5 and slept a lot, now wish I'd waited a bit longer to take the leave. Zzzz.

ffiffi8 · 22/11/2018 22:43

Haha @StargazyDrifter at the minute I wouldn't mind another week but needs must 😒😒

StargazyDrifter · 22/11/2018 22:47

Have you told them yet? I've told the most senior people (in case they decide I've suddenly turned really lazy) but it would help me if the day to day people knew too, roll on 12w.

Onestep2 · 22/11/2018 23:15

@stargazerdrifty I've done same as you. I've told my boss but not my team.

We're only a really small team of 7 of us including my boss so I'm debating telling the rest of guys (I'm the only female) so it will become really obvious if I stop pulling my weight if you get me and like you I don't want them to think I'm lazy or taking the piss 😂

StargazyDrifter · 22/11/2018 23:25

Onestep2 completely get that. We have a mixed team but some of the men are a bit old fashioned and I'm worried they'll stop listening to me as soon as I say it. They can be a bit unreformed, and I'm already a younger woman etc. Most will be great about it though.

Laburna · 23/11/2018 04:14

In bed fast asleep by 9:30 😂

DS is being a monkey tonight/this morning. He won't settle on his own which he's done forever, and I'm having to direct DH to go sort him because I've woken up with all the nausea 🤢🤢

ReginaPhalange89 · 23/11/2018 04:37

My DD woke at 3ish and is still awake 😭 what's the betting she goes back to sleep when it's time to get her sister up for school

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 04:53

Oh don't DS has been awake since 3am after waking at 1.30am initially ReginaPhalange89 we even tried taking him out in the car!

Scan today, feel so sick. Was already sick this morning too but not sure if it's nerves for today or pregnancy related.

Ladies I think our DCs must know something is up. Mine's been up half of the night, 1-3.30am then up again at 5. Screaming and wailing for booby milk. I honestly think I'm just going to have to wean him, I can't deal with this any more (and my boobs are killing)

Laburna · 23/11/2018 06:06

Why do they wake up so energetic too? He's been up as much in the night as me and I'm definitely not running around like a lion and have no desire to

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 06:16

Maybe it's their way of prepping us?

smerlin · 23/11/2018 06:32

Would like to sign up and join the fun! Am a bit worried as no symptoms yet. Clear blue said 2-3 weeks earlier this week and LMP was 6 Oct which makes it 7 weeks I think although pretty sure I ovulated v late.

Last time I had horrendous morning sickness which I don't exactly want back but it would be reassuring to have a strong pregnancy symptom!

StargazyDrifter · 23/11/2018 07:41

Morning! Crazy nightmares this end, kind of mashed up with bits I must have remembered from the news last night. Nausea too. Maybe I'll try running around like a lion 🦁 😂.

Kentishgal · 23/11/2018 07:42

Congratulations Smerlin - you're similar to me - my LMP was 7 Oct but know I ovulated late. I have v little in the way of symptoms - trying to remember when they started last time - I think around 7 weeks.

ffiffi8 · 23/11/2018 08:08

@StargazyDrifter I've told most people at work, we're a small team and to be honest I moved a year ago so most are my friends, this week though the sickness has gotten worse so I'm dreading going back next week because I won't have the time to be sick over the toilet 😣 just sat here with a cup of tea after spending half hour throwing up now 😢

StargazyDrifter · 23/11/2018 08:15

Aww ffiffi8 commiserations on being sick. Me too. Just had tea and a cracker. I know exactly what you mean about not having time to be sick! I was worrying about that in a back to back day yesterday. Hopefully this passes soon.

Laburna · 23/11/2018 08:23

Am on my third cup of tea this morning, am so exhausted and its natural when I'm tired in the morning to drink tea/coffee to wake myself up....except it's doing bugger all because it's decaf 😭😭😭

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 08:36

I am so so so so so sick this morning urgh! Taking it as a good sign though. Really need to go home and rest

TwittleBee · 23/11/2018 08:52
