Only thing I wonder about is strange is I thought mucus plug wouldn't have formed yet but idk

@TwittleBee don't forget your cervix never fully closes again after your first baby so it could be totally ok

BettySwoll0cks · 22/11/2018 17:37

I have my scan tomorrow too - totally bricking it - fingers, toes and everything crossed for us both x

itslilsebastian · 22/11/2018 17:47

Thanks all. I'd given them a pee sample 20 minutes before they tried to scan abdominally so they couldn't see anything. They've said to go back in tomorrow morning with a full bladder so they can make sure pregnancy is in the right place. They said if it's not, or if they can't see anything I'll have to stay in the hospital so to bring a bag just in case. Convinced they aren't going to see anything and I'm going to be stuck in the hospital anxious as hell all day and night. Sad

TwittleBee · 22/11/2018 17:50

True BettySwoll0cks but this is certainly a lot more open than I have felt it before (had a feel during TTC)

Twittlebee I read that it starts to form around week 4 or 5 but isn't fully formed till 12 weeks. But if you lose it, it can regrow. However, that sounds a little like what I had - it occurred to me it could be the plug and then I pushed that to the back of my mind!

TwittleBee · 22/11/2018 18:00

Yeah lost it about 7 times with DS but wasn't till 3rd trimester Kentishgal ah Maybe it was what I lost today then, I'll just maybe not have sex again!

@itslilsabastian how far along are you? Shame you couldn’t have the scan today. I did stay overnight just so they could keep an eye on the pain and had a scan at 5 weeks +4 but they couldn’t really see anything and couldn’t confidently rule out eptopic or failing pregnancy. They didn’t keep me in tho they took my bloods and I had to go back in 2 days to have further bloods to see if HCG levels had raised and had to wait 10days for a scan ( which was tough waiting) did they take any bloods today? My HCG luckily raised. It might just be that it’s too early. Hope your ok and don’t know if my advice is helping just feel that I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago.

itslilsebastian · 22/11/2018 18:11

@Meg1389 Going by LMP I am 5 weeks tomorrow. Did bloods for HCG today which were 3000. Not expecting them to see anything tomorrow but praying they don't keep me in. Pains subsided now and I feel like I've just caused loads of hassle and wasted their time and made myself anxious.

itslilsebastian · 22/11/2018 18:14

Apparently it has to be an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow as they don't have a transvaginal one. So I'm pretty much guaranteed to stay in as at 5 weeks they won't see anything abdominally? Fuck sake Sad

TwittleBee · 22/11/2018 18:18

itslilsebastian I had an abdominal one at 5 weeks and could see the sac and yolk. FX

Meg1389 · 22/11/2018 18:19

@itslilsebastian it might be a bit too soon but fingers crossed you never know they might be able to tell. They kind of left it up to me in the end if I wanted to stay in it was just depending on the severity of the pain which at that point had become more manageable but just see what they say. It easy for me to say try not to get anxious but I was really upset and anxious at the time too.
HCG level sounds positive mine was less than that at 5w+4 something like 2500.

Kentishgal · 22/11/2018 18:19

Itslilsebastian they did my scan at 5 weeks (well 5 weeks and 2 or 3 days I reckon) and they could definitely see the gestational sac and yolk on the abdominal - obviously its far clearer on the internal but fingers crossed they should at least be able to check its in the correct place. I understand though as I hate staying overnight in hospital.

itslilsebastian · 22/11/2018 18:25

@TwittleBee @Meg1389 @Kentishgal Thanks all. Hate staying in hospital and had family coming to stay with me tomorrow. It's one thing staying in an emergency but the thought of staying in just because it's too early and they don't have a transvaginal ultrasound makes me want to cry. Hcg levels were promising and pain has subsided so fingers crossed. I will make sure my bladder is bursting for the appointment

Kentishgal · 22/11/2018 18:33

God the ultimate pregnancy shame - i've just had to use the train loo - if I didn't feel sick before I certainly do now.

amanda2809 · 22/11/2018 18:56

@ReginaPhalange89 my 4 year old started waking up too but we've put it down to the turn in the weather, and extra blanket and he's sleeping through again!

I ordered some over bump trousers and jeans from H&M, I'd say they're on the small side (I ordered 2 sizes in each and going with the bigger one) but both comfy! And the plain black trousers have pockets which is a plus!

ReginaPhalange89 · 22/11/2018 19:21

Thanks @amanda2809! I have one pair of mat jeans from last pregnancy from H&M and love them ! h&m sizes are awful though aren't they. I'm sure they were a size (maybe even 2!) bigger than my usual size ! I had a look on eBay and found a pair in the exact same style but a different wash of denim so I've ordered those ! Fingers crossed they are the same because I love them!

George @ asda jeans are pretty good too, and only £14! Think I'll order some but maybe wait til after Xmas

TwinkleDay · 22/11/2018 19:49

Evening, I have been feeling slightly ick today which I am crazy to feel happy about, boobs are swollen too. And I got my flu jab this evening since im still waiting until next Friday for my first midwife appointment. :)

Just catching up hope all is being reassured with those who have problems the past two evenings.

Laburna · 22/11/2018 21:10

It's gone really quiet tonight.....

Kentishgal · 22/11/2018 21:21

I'm baking a cake for my three year old's birthday party!

RooKangaroo · 22/11/2018 21:27

@Kentishgal, trains loos aren't the nicest, are they?! I had to use them many a time in my last pregnancy, particularly towards the end when I had to go to the loo every half hour (or so it felt like).

RooKangaroo · 22/11/2018 21:28

@itslilsebastian, everything crossed for tomorrow, and hope you don't have to stay in! x

RooKangaroo · 22/11/2018 21:30

What you up to, @Laburna? Grin

ohmybaby · 22/11/2018 21:37

Still here too 👋🏻 feeling nauseous in bed🥳 us early preggos know how to party!

Giraffe888 · 22/11/2018 22:13

If my midwife appt isn’t until 21st Dec, should I be seeing about getting flu jab in the meantime? X
