Starting a new thread as we near the 1000 comment mark on the Part 2 one!

It is nearly December and I am sure all we want for Xmas are healthy pregnancies and babies Star

Good luck to everyone still here and so sorry for how many we have already lost on the way Flowers

Here is a new, editable, link for the google Doc Register:

These threads are filling up fast! SmileI can't keep up!

I hope everyone is fine and well today. I just burst into tears after seeing a baby related ad on social media......YIKES! I thought it would be too early for that, DC1 is 7 years old so feels like a lifetime ago when I was last pregnant and can't remember much of what I felt in the early days other than the projectile vomiting, so praying I miss that one out on this pregnancy

Giraffe888 · 21/11/2018 10:37

@twittlebee thank you so much. Yes my first. Early scan booked for 17th Dec and midwife 21st x

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:39

oh wow you are on it with getting things booked up already Giraffe888 I shall add them in. Can you at least view the doc?

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:43

Strange looking at the Google Doc to see how many of us are on there now but how none of are due on the 14th or 18th. 24th onwards will probably still fill up a lot more as still such early days for those that will be due then

Greetings mommies to be. I am new and i think am 4 weeks 1 day, just got blood results back and am not sure if I must be excited since its my 4th pregnancy and have lost 3 already (blighted ovum)... beta hcg is 4000+ and progesterone 102.

Giraffe888 · 21/11/2018 10:53

@twittlebee thank you. Yes I can view it. I’m glad I’ve got booked in as midwife said if I’d not got booked in for 21st they wouldn’t be able to see me until 7th jan when I’d be over 10 weeks! And early scans were almost fully booked for before Xmas. Guessing everyone wants to share good news at Xmas!

For those that have told parents, how did you tell them? X

Capybaras · 21/11/2018 10:56

Hi all! Had my first midwife appointment this morning, and she’s put me forward to EDD of 11July so currently 6+6 - very pleased to be ahead (obv scan will properly date!). Was really straightforward just had medical history and bmi, blood pressure etc. Had my flu jab too! Waiting to get an appointment for booking now, and that’s when we’ll get our scan date. Hoping it will be before Christmas otherwise may go private as will be 12w on the 27th Dec!
Not many symptoms, just tired still and feeling slightly nauseous if hungry. Boobs ached for the first time last night.

Hope everyone else is good!

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:58

angece congratulations and I really hope this is 4th time lucky for you, so sorry you've had it rough. Good luck

Giraffe888 mum caught me chucking up when I was round there after I smelt her cup of tea, she guessed as that was what set me off the most with DS. For my Dad and stepmum I had them over for a really nice meal and announced it just before dessert. For the PIL I baked a cake and wrote on the top our Due Date, took it round with us when we were heading over for a cuppa.

Capybaras ah lovely! Glad it went well! Makes me excited to have mine.

Capybaras · 21/11/2018 11:04

Thanks @twittlebee - I was really surprised they don’t even test if you’re pregnant so I quickly popped home to POAS to check I still was so I wouldn’t feel a fraud 😂

Capybaras · 21/11/2018 11:05

When is your appointment?

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 11:07

Capybaras that actually surprised me with DS' booking appointment! I was surprised as how easy it is to get the Mat Card for free prescriptions. My appointment is on the 29th so not long! Just excited to meet my MW as my area has 1:1 MW service, she will even try to come and pop in during labour.

Oh wow @TwittleBee I love the idea of putting the EDD on a cake to tell the PIL's

Now feeling inspired to do similar! I'm so looking forward to telling everyone and not keep secrets!

whyohwhypart2 · 21/11/2018 11:11

So very roughly....where does everyone stay?

I'll go first, I'm in bonnie Scotland Smile

Giraffe888 · 21/11/2018 11:18

@twittlebee love the cake idea! We were going to wait until had early scan to tell parents but if something (god forbid) went wrong we’d want their support (especially my mum) so we might tell them this weekend. Just not sure how! X

Twistering · 21/11/2018 11:20

Flurry of activity this morning :) I really need to do some work!

@ratherbeshowjumping felt fine in yoga, although a bit weaker weirdly! Not helped by stinking cold though.

@giraffe888 welcome!
@1sttimeunicorn and @angece - fourth pregnancy for me too after three losses and no children yet so I hear you. We will be good!

@TwittleBee thanks for vibes, think they helped! :)

On that note, back from scan after bleed and all is well, has visibly grown since last time and strong heartbeat. Put me at 6+3 but if this helps reassure anyone (and lots of people said this yesterday) at this stage they are talking millimetres with a human trying to measure them so can wildly vary. They said the (bright red and scary) bleed was probably implantation which I think TwittleBee said too.

Still don’t want to jinx it, but guess should think about phoning the midwife!

Kentishgal · 21/11/2018 11:39

Excellent news Twistering!! I've had on and off pink/Brown mucus since Sunday night - when I say on and off, it's when I wipe and was once sunday eve, once Monday morning, and again once last night and this morning. Epu didn't think that was overly concerning - but it's definitely not the bright red implantation blood you mention so maybe that's a bad sign. I keep looking at the scan pic and they put a question mark where the feral pole might be....I've now started doing Google image searches to compare - God help me!!Urgh every little thing is a stress isn't it. My "baby on board" badge arrived this morning and I felt a total fraud when I dont even have a fetal pole! 😏

Kentishgal · 21/11/2018 11:41

Feral pole should clearly be fetal!! 😂

Jxtina86 · 21/11/2018 11:41

Hi all! So I told one of my closest friends at the weekend - I just couldn't hold it in! She completely gets being cautious - she had a huge bleed in the early weeks of pregnancy last year (I knew this already but didn't realise how bad it was until this weekend) and whilst all was well in the end she understands why I'm not shouting from the rooftops just yet. It was just lovely to tell someone and she was just so excited for us! DH told his Dad too but keeping it quiet from his mum as we want to surprise her just before Christmas if all goes well. My own parents are in New Zealand atm but are back in a week so planning to tell them then. Bit gutted as will have to do it over the phone as they don't live nearby and won't be able to see them until Christmas (And even then nothing is set in stone plan-wise!)

Symptom-wise, my boobs are swelling like mad and my nipples are so sensitive it feels like razor blades if I catch them in the shower or getting changed! The nausea comes and goes- eating makes all the difference (I had to have an emergency croissant to bring me back from the brink yesterday). Anyone just feel permanently hungover?! I just feel like I've done tequila the night before but without any of the actual fun that would involve!

1sttimeunicorn · 21/11/2018 11:47

@TwittleBee (sorry I hope that works as I have no idea how to tag people in posts), so very glad your scan went well. Seeing any kind of blood is very scary especially considering what you've been through. Fingers crossed that everything continues to go well and this is your last worrying moment. But I know it's hard.

Brainfried1986 · 21/11/2018 12:07

Thanks for the tip about the boohoo.com sale! Bought some over bump jeans for £12! I forgot how brilliant maternity jeans are 😁 Think I will be living in these for the foreseeable future!!!

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 12:15

ah well sickness is back hahah, YAY (never thought I would cheer that), but just threw up after my colleague made me a coffee (thankfully they all know now)

Twistering yay so glad it went okay! And yes that is what the sonographer told me about the red bleeding! I think we spend too long on the conception boards with the thinking implantation bleeding happens at initial implanting only!

Kentishgal it could be implanting bleed though or old blood from implanting now coming out in your usual CM? Certainly a good sign if EPU arent too worried i think. Its funny how easy it is to get a baby on board sign! Hope people actually respect you wearing it.

Jxtina86 ah lovely she was over the moon for you! Good luck at telling parents, is hard when they don't live close.

ReginaPhalange89 · 21/11/2018 12:21

We're trying to hold off telling our parents til Xmas day ! I've seen some calendar's in Tesco you can put your own photos in, so I'm thinking for part of an Xmas present I might print out family photos and then on the July one put "coming soon..." And then marking the due date on the calendar! I know they'll flip through the photos when they open it , think it'd be really fun. However I've also seen cute Christmas scratch cards on eBay ! You can choose what to put in the scratch off section so if we can't wait til Christmas day I may do those.

July 2019 Part 3 - Still in the 1st Trimester!
ReginaPhalange89 · 21/11/2018 12:22

@brainfried1986 are they any good ? I haven't tried boohoo for maternity stuff yet
