Morning all,

In regards to symptoms I’m a bit worried too as my patchy face is clearing up, I don’t have any more constipation, I’m not so tired despite doing the same, I can eat pretty much anything and not hungry anymore when I wake up and none of me hurts ... i haven’t got midwife first appointment until next Friday and then I will be 10 weeks where as most people on here seem to have it all earlier. And even then I conscious I will have to wait until after Xmas for a scan at 13-14 weeks. Nervous

Kentishgal · 21/11/2018 07:30

Frazzlerock I'm sorry you're feeling so down - sounds like you've been through hell but you can feel free to rant on here and we don't think you're self absorbed - I always seem to be stressing about myself! And just to prove it here I go....I have no symptoms either other than insomnia and thirst (I think the thirst might be because I think I'm getting tonsillitis) - urgh.

Twistering · 21/11/2018 07:39

@Frazzlerock thinking of you. It’s impossible to not get absorbed by all of this and we all completely understand. If helps to have a break, do what need to do x

Follow up scan at 9 after bleed on Sunday. Feeling a bit what will be will be.

Bloody miserable weather here today too, come back summer!

In a positive thinking vein, imagine if it’s as hot next June/July and we are all waddling about!!

ratherbeshowjumping · 21/11/2018 07:40

@RooKangaroo it's awful isn't it? And so cold. Sitting on a packed train with insides like a washing machine is not the way to start a Wednesday 😩

Came on here to ask if Pilates or yoga is ok during early pregnancy? (Very sure it is). And which one people would recommend & why? I am starting to put on weight as I'm not showjumping so would like something to keep me toned if that is entirely possible, probably not.

Laburna · 21/11/2018 07:48

@twinkleday don't panic too much about the scan being late, in my last region, my midwife appointment was at almost 10weeks and my scan was at 12 weeks and the scan wasn't booked until I'd been to the MW. I think it just depends on the area how things are arranged!

(You could always follow someone else's example on here and phone up to get it changed! I assume they have movements and cancellations all the time, especially from ladies much further along who don't need them!)

Laburna · 21/11/2018 07:50

@ratherbeshowjumping if you don't already do yoga it's advised to wait until 14 weeks/2nd trimester. Not sure about Pilates, but assume it would be similar? I've got a DVD for pregnancy together, and I'm sure @brainfried1986 mentioned a YouTube one previously?

Twistering · 21/11/2018 07:52

@ratherbeshowjumping I’m doing normal yoga still, but was doing it before so body used to it i guess. Teacher said fine and to just not do anything didn’t feel comfortable with. They do definitely modify positions as time progresses though (and lying on boobs is a challenge!!). Sounds like you are pretty fit so probably fine doing most things if tell instructor. I’ve been crap with gym though, can’t really face it, but still want to stay trim! There’s a girl at my gym who was still squatting some ridiculous weight three days before she was due and you’d never believe she had a baby!!

StargazyDrifter · 21/11/2018 08:02

I have a fever today (38C) and it has wiped me out. Have been taking paracetamol to try and keep on top of it, seeing the midwife later today so will ask. Bit worried this is bad in terms of birth defects at such an early stage. ☹️ It's also just SO uncomfortable.

Laburna your toddler sounds like my boss! 😂

Brainfried1986 · 21/11/2018 08:33

This was the vid I posted before - I recall something about not doing it in the first trimester, but otherwise it’s a nice daily routine if you have the time (I certainly don’t...!!!) I’ll try and start doing this a few times a week in the new year I think - provided ds is still napping properly!

ratherbeshowjumping · 21/11/2018 08:35

@Laburna @Twistering
Thank you both, really useful.
My SIL is a yoga instructor but more of the chakra type yoga than the "sports" type I would prefer but I will ask her too.

@Twistering how are you finding yoga at this stage?

@Brainfried1986 thanks for the link! That looks great.

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 09:30

Laburna I am nearing 7 weeks. Everything I've read online just stresses me out about not having it as bad or worse the 2nd time around, especially with one article which suggests lack of symptoms increases chance of a miscarriage. urgh. Thank you though.

jq28 oh lovely to have the 1st grandchild! Exciting times!

TwinkleDay sorry to read you are also worried about symptoms fading. The positive thing about having a later dating scan though is that they are more accurate and if you were wanting to have a good guess at the sex using the numb theory then its so much easier to do after 13 weeks!

ratherbeshowjumping I am continuing my yoga, helps with my anxiety, there are just a few things to avoid during pregnancy (no inversions or major twists). I am also increasing my walking and concentrating on my posture (suffered with SPD and still have issues with sciatica now). I think someone on here mentioned they are doing special pregnancy fitness classes. I know about half my NCT group kept up their exercise routines throughout pregnancy, just adapted for each trimester. Apparently being fit can help you in labour so I am certainly wanting to help myself this time round, I am on the cusp of having an underweight BMI due to illness but don't want to pile it on like I did with DS plus I know my fitness levels are poor.

Twistering good luck with the follow up scan! Let us know how it goes lovely xx

StargazyDrifter oh no! Having a fever is horrid, really hope it passes soon, rest up!

Morning all

Can I join? Got my BFP on Sunday after 1 year of TTC. I’m due on 30th July and I’m 3+6 today.

Not got any symptoms other than sore boobs and the odd bit of twinges. Hoping this is normal to not have many symptoms this early?

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 09:39

welcome Giraffe888 and congrats! Add yourself into the Google Doc on the OP. Yes totally normal to have no symptoms this early, I think for most people it didnt kick in till 5 weeks!

Hello!!!
Reporting for surprise duty as of 8pm last night.
I am around 4+2 with an EDD if 29th July!
Had been monitoring with OPK's and the Glow app but am confident of CD - only DTD once before OV so around 4th or 5th November.

Bit worried as we were just trialling and keeping an eye - not really going seriously for it - I've been pissed a fair bit recently!!! Am I ok in thinking I should be ok???

Giraffe888 · 21/11/2018 09:56

@twittlebee oh good that makes me feel a little better. I feel so anxious, I think it’s because we’ve wanted this for so long!

I’ve tried adding myself but I can’t edit the document? X

Giraffe888 · 21/11/2018 09:56

@wombatron you’re the day before me! I’m sure you’ll be fine with any alcohol you’ve had. Congratulations x

wombatron · 21/11/2018 10:03

Thanks@Giraffe888 !!
Yes logic says I should be! Small bit of worry (and annoyance) as DH is away this weekend so I had my mind set on pizza, wine and a lovely night in to myself. Will just forego the wine I suppose

Onestep2 · 21/11/2018 10:04

Morning ladies!

Just catching up on this, god it moves so fast!!

sorry to everyone having a really rough and anxious time of it. This is my first pregnancy so im kind of oblivious to all the worries and concerns...... dont know if thats a good thing or bad thing.

Today is first day ive felt hungry -- YEAHHHH!!! although i can feel the nausea creeping in slowly so it may be another afternoon hiding in the work loos. Ive really been trying to keep to my normal "healthy" eating as much as possible but i have had total loss of appitite so forcing whatever i can down my gub.

@ratherbeshowjumping @Twittlebee Im really trying to stick to my normal gym activities as much as possible. i discussed everything that i normally do with MW and she activly encouraged me to keep at it. To be fair i do generally feel a lot better after i go to the gym or a class regardless of how shitty ive been feeling during the day.

How is everyones boobs? Cant remember who mentioned MIL squeezing their boobs but it made me laugh! I honestly look like ive had a boob job with how swollen my boobs are!

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:05

Giraffe888 it is strange as there has been someone else on here who cant edit it either. You don't need to sign in, just click the link and edit. No one has been given special editable rights so it has been working for everyone else who has inputted. So strange. Maybe its the device your on? Idk x

hey there wombatron congrats to you too! You'll be fine with the alcohol, you are so early so its just a sac and possibly a yolk thats all.

Giraffe888 · 21/11/2018 10:10

@twittlebee it says I have to download google docs app to edit and then it won’t let me download it!

The next time someone goes on the doc could they pretty please add me on?! X

Yellowpeaches · 21/11/2018 10:11

Only just passed 5 weeks and the boobs are ridiculously sore and.. firm?
I've got a ridiculously sore throat and wheezing lungs, feels like the start of bronchitis, hopefully not!

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:12

Giraffe888 ah not sure then as it works fine on my desktop and my android. I think that is more of a technical issue with your phone maybe than the link not being an editable one? Hoping someone on here can help!

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:13

I'll add yo though now as I am on my desktop Giraffe888 Is this your first child? And I am assuming no MW or scans booked yet?

Onestep2 · 21/11/2018 10:16

@wombatron i was on an all inclusive holiday before i found out, i had been pissed for about 2 weeks straight, been on rollercoasters, ziplining, hot tubs, saunas... basically everything you shouldnt do in early pregnancy! lol Came back to find out i was 4 weeks preg! spoke to midwife who said its so common before people find out so i wouldnt worry!!!

1sttimeunicorn · 21/11/2018 10:17

Just to hop into the new thread, I will try to catch up when I can. Currently 6+4, had a scan to check what was happening and there was a heartbeat but a few concerns as there was an area of bleeding that they are keeping an eye on, outside of the sac. Having had three previous losses before my DS (now 18 months) I basically just see pregnancy as a very worrying time. We were keen to have two DCs, but just conscious that as carrying babies was never my skill, to get it over and done with! That sounds awful doesn't it. Anyway I have another scan booked on Wednesday of next week because I have to have immune-suppressant therapy, as my previous losses were caused by an over active immune system.

Sending love and best wishes to everyone still viewing the thread who has had a loss. It really can be an awful time. Take all the time you need to recover, and don't give up. I had my lovely DS after 4 years and three losses, including three surgeries.
