@bubblybrit I think the others have caffiene in. One of them has codene in too. So maybe thats why? I always ashumed anadin paracetmol was just normal paracetmol but branded?

bubblybrit · 14/11/2018 19:00

Thanks @Notquiteagandt. That was my initial thought as have triple checked the ingredients and it mentions nothing else bar 500mg paracetamol. Have suffered since Monday with this pain and been trying not to take anything but literally can’t sleep so would like to take something before bed this evening.

Notquiteagandt · 14/11/2018 19:02

@bubblybrit you poor thing feel for you. Wisdom tooth pain the very worse. Heres to a good nights sleep and some relief Flowers

MummyBM · 14/11/2018 19:20

@notquiteagandt @baby160p @yakadee @surprisedmom @Lulabell1
Thank you everyone for responding. I have been to the doctors today who have said maybe signs pre-eclampsia or cholestasis. They didn’t make me feel very welcome at first like there was nothing wrong but after seeing the rashes combined with all the other symptoms they decided to take some bloods and get them checked. Blood pressure was pretty high too so glad I went and got checked. Not seen my midwife since before I had my 20week scan and I’m now 27 weeks, she has no appointments which I find terrible. Not seeing midwife for another 2 weeks so will be 29 when I see her.

Hopefully nothing to worry about but it’s nice to have other mummies to chat too about this as it can sometimes feel like your going insane when people don’t listen and try to say you have a tummy bug when you know it isn’t. Hopefully will find out soon what’s up and get it sorted so I don’t feel so unwell for the rest of my pregnancy.

bubblybrit · 14/11/2018 19:21

Fingers crossed @Notquiteagandt. I usually get some pain from time to time so Anadin Extra is my friend. Find it difficult that so many things are banned in pregnancy!

MummyBM · 14/11/2018 19:27

@halaz I am suffering with nausea and throwing up. Have been the whole pregnancy and I’m 27 weeks! Horrid isn’t it... mines worse at night and in the night, I wake up feeling sick and always throw up! :-(

AliceRR · 14/11/2018 19:37

@twiglet @lanalawr I read something online when I was anxious googling last night that said drink something cold and lay on your left side. It said 10 movements an hour which does seem like a lot. I was lying down in bed but not still and moved around a bit etc in order to get baby moving. She just didn’t seem to be moving as much but I didn’t count about ten (I was trying to encourage it though)

It just so difficult as some days she is more active than others and then if I have a few quiet hours I don’t know whether to be worried or not. Having said that, there have been at least three occasions where I’ve been worried and then she’s been fine and moved around again so I’m sort of becoming a bit more relaxed about it.

Surprisedmom · 14/11/2018 19:53

@MummyBM i’m glad the doctor took bloods for you. It really is shocking that you can’t see your midwife sooner than 2 weeks time. I still reckon if you don’t improve or get anything out of your doctors, then i’d head to the hospital before then as 2 weeks is a long time to wait.

@AliceRR regarding movements I don’t really count as I think it would stress me more, instead I have just become accustomed to him moving throughout the day. I do notice slight differences from day to day though, as certain things get him moving (like eating or lying on my side) and as I have different work schedules from day to day I eat/sit/move around at different times. So I have found the most consistent pattern is actually the evenings as my routine is the same most days and then his kicking routine is too.

Yakadee · 14/11/2018 20:07

@MummyBM - glad you'll get some answers soon. Hopefully it'll be something and nothing and they'll sort you out xx

AliceRR · 14/11/2018 20:48

@surprisedmok I agree but I was worrying so it was something to do to try not to worry. It was on either the Ovia or pregnancy + app @twiglet @lanalawr
I am kind of getting used to it being different every day and it depends on other things like how active I’ve been in the day and also last night I hadn’t had anything sweet after dinner, which I usually do(!), so I wondered whether that was anything to do with why she wasn’t moving as much. She’s been kicking me again now so I feel better

Surprisedmom · 14/11/2018 22:08

@AliceRR i’m glad my baby isn’t the only one with a sweet tooth, sometimes he starts kicking when I get near the point I often stop for chocolate on the way home and I joke that he’s reminding me to stop at the garage and get some 😆

babyp160 · 14/11/2018 22:15

I spoke to my midwife today about movements.

I don't seem to have a pattern.

She said at this stage the anterior placenta doesn't count.

She said basically if by the evening I haven't felt him move all day then have a cold drink and something sugary and lay down. If still nothing then call day assessment.

Fredthespider · 15/11/2018 06:32

Mine has a sweet tooth too, MW found glucose in my urine yesterday and has threatened to send me for the glucose tolerance test if she finds more at my next appointment 😳

I have no signs of gestational diabetes and no risk factors either (although type 2 runs in my family it’s not reached immediate family) so it was a bit of a shock. MW suggested that it might be because I had a small chocolate bar just before I did the sample so she’s asked for an early morning one next time.

emalady · 15/11/2018 07:50

@mummyBM did you get any results from your blood test? Hope you are doing ok.

I have my GTT today, would really like some breakfast. The glass of water isn't really doing it for me. On the plus side hopefully the kitchen will be finished today or tomorrow.

twiglet · 15/11/2018 08:16

Hmm I realised this morning that I can't do baby cord donation as they only have one hospital in Scotland where you can in Glasgow about 4 hours away!

Quite gutted my FIL needed stem cell chemo and a friend's DS had treatment using cord cells. It's crazy that it is limited to so few hospitals given how life saving it can be.

MrsY87 · 15/11/2018 08:18

@emalady I've got my GTT this morning too, drunk the yucky drink and on the 2hr wait til my blood test at 9.30, will be glad of something to eat once it's over!

cw96 · 15/11/2018 09:00

Joining you ladies who have their GTT this morning! Second round of bloods just before 11, didn't find the drink too bad if I'm honest, just sweeter than what I'm used to. Was just grateful for something other than water as I usually drink weak cordial at home! Hope all goes well everyone Grin

Yakadee · 15/11/2018 09:11

Feel for you guys having your tests - had mine a few weeks back. I actually didn't find it too bad so hopefully you won't too. Good luck! X

emalady · 15/11/2018 12:53

It wasn't too bad but by the end of the wait until 11am I was starting to feel a bit faint and pretty hungry. I was a bit jealous of @mrsy87 getting it done so early. Didn't help DH woke me up when he went to the gym at 5.30 and I couldn't get back to sleep. Going to have a nap now before work this evening.

babyp160 · 15/11/2018 12:54

So after your GTT if you get the all clear is that is?

Or can you develop GTT still?

Lulabell1 · 15/11/2018 13:05

Feeling extremely sorry for myself by far the worst i have felt in a very long time these antibiotics and pump have done nothing im on day 2 of no food and cant stop being sick bile! My wee is so dark does that mean im dehydrated??

Notquiteagandt · 15/11/2018 13:08

@Lulabell1 darker it is more concentrated it is. But if you are still weeing its a good sign. Get them to measure your ketones and see if you are dehydrated. You might need fluids and an antiemetic injection.

Bile sickness is grim tastes so vile. Really feel for you Flowers hope on mend soon.

Halloweenallyearround · 15/11/2018 13:20

My lo was February 2018, and seeing your link makes me miss being pregnant this time of year.
I hope your all enjoying it, having a bump at Christmas is some lovely.
Added excuse to eat and relax!

AliceRR · 15/11/2018 13:50

@babyp160 that’s helpful

@twiglet I have never heard of chord donation

WORRYING SLIGHTLY I ate some Wensleydale cheese in a sandwich at lunchtime. I didn’t think it was an issue until I was eating it and realised it was a feta like consistency. It wa Pret A Manger and website says all their cheeses are pasteurised so should be ok? 🧀

AliceRR · 15/11/2018 13:55

And it was Wiltshire cured ham but looked like cooked ham and I often eat their Wiltshire cured ham and grevillea cheese baguette 😬🤔🙈
