My sickness got a bit better but its started up again last week or so aswell, I have rib pain but i think its babies foot as its on the right hand side and I only really get it when i sit down i feel like im squashing him!

Yakadee · 01/12/2018 12:14

I really feel for those of you still suffering with sickness! X

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 01/12/2018 13:04

@Notquitegandt same here. HG has been so bad this time around. I didn't think it could get worse after DD but oh my.

I think this will be the last baby as I don't think I can cope with it again.

AliceRR · 01/12/2018 13:20

@Rowse That makes more sense as I really do end up in pain and can barely walk the day after I’ve been walking or on my feet a lot. I have been given a number for the physio but misplaced it so ended up not calling.

maxiflump1 · 01/12/2018 14:24

So rather embarrassing question... sorry if tmi!

DH and I are on a child free weekend away in the lovely hotel and this morning had sex for the first time in about 2 months. Afterwards I noticed I bled a bit of watery red blood. It wasn't a lot and stopped pretty much after a few minutes. No clots etc. Baby seems fine now and wriggling away but can't help but worry. Think it's probably because we've not done it for a while Anyone else had this??

@maxiflump1 its very common and nothing to worry about! Happenes to alot of people whilst pregnant I had it last time.
@thesnobbymiddleclassone I couldnt agree with you more its very selfish of me too say it and I almost feel guilty but I will not be having anymore due to how bad its been in this pregnancy glad I will now have 1 of each as DP also agreed no more if this was a boy!
My lovely nan has sent me a Christmas present early she had booked us a 4D scan packages lots of pictures videos key rings to go to on Thursday evening Im very excited has anyone had theirs yet I no a few of you had some booked in. Bit worried he will look like an alien!

Celebelly · 01/12/2018 16:22

We are off to the hospital as baby has hardly been moving today and she's usually super active SadI'm really scared

Notquiteagandt · 01/12/2018 16:23

@Thesnobbymiddleclassone and @Lulabell1 Same. Breaks my heart as I always wanted a big family. But I know I couldnt go through it again. So rather selfishly she will be an only child unless I use a surogate or adopt.

They say every pregnancy is differant but the drs have told me there about an 80% chance I will get it again. Those odds scare me.

I dont know how you have done it with other children to look after I really dont. Admire you so much for it. Really do.

I had all these images in my head of what I thought pregnancy would be like. That I would carry on eating really healthy and being hollistic and doing yoga etc. Reality couldnt be more differant.

Notquiteagandt · 01/12/2018 16:24

@Celebelly sure all is fine but sending u some well wishes anyways if not just for the worry Flowers

babyp160 · 01/12/2018 16:52

@Celebelly I'm sure baby is ok. Thinking of you. Let us know xx

Yakadee · 01/12/2018 17:23

Sure there's nothing to worry about but best to get checked xx

Surprisedmom · 01/12/2018 18:06

@Celebelly Thinking of you and hoping all is ok.

Celebelly · 01/12/2018 18:31

Thanks ladies Thanks

Trace was OK so they think she might just have moved positions, but I'm going back in tomorrow morning for a scan so a little bit anxious. Hopefully they are just being thorough, though, and she perked up a bit after midwife had a good feel of my belly.

Yakadee · 01/12/2018 18:38

That's good news @Celebelly - I'm sure the scan will be fine and it's just to be on the safe side xx

detachablehoof · 01/12/2018 21:05

@Notquiteagandt I'm feeling way more movements than previously and it also makes me feel sick 😭

I also feel like this will be my only pregnancy. Cannot make a choice to go through the sickness again!!!

detachablehoof · 01/12/2018 21:07

Also I'm on iron tablets since a couple of weeks ago, wondering if they are maybe making me nauseated? They certainly are making me constipated, perhaps things are backing up inside 🙄

powkin · 01/12/2018 21:54

@Celebelly glad signs are good so far. I’m scared I’ll not notice due to being distracted. Usually as I start to think she’s quiet she perks up again. Hope the scan goes well x

maxiflump1 · 01/12/2018 22:06

Sorry to hear you've had a scare @Celebelly. I went in twice with reduced movement with DS so know how stressful it is. Hope your scan tomorrow goes well xx

Considering how important it is for co sleeping cribs to be the same height as your bed, is anyone else getting frustrated with trying to find out the height range for particular models?

twiglet · 01/12/2018 22:58

@celebelly glad monitor was OK they will be thorough easier said than done but try not to worry too much.

We are having a crazy few days visiting family. Our plan to prevent MIL from visiting when he arrives hasn't worked.

Managed to put her back until towards the end of March, DH was really firm with her said no we want time to settle. She tried to push even asked when my parents were visiting. We live 600 miles plus away from both sets so it's not like they would visit for a few hours then leave it would be at least a week!

Celebelly · 01/12/2018 23:07

Thanks so much everyone Thanks

Typically she's been bouncing around like mad for the past two hours Hmm She's a little minx already, it seems! Hopefully tomorrow we can have our scan, see everything is fine and that be it.

powkin · 01/12/2018 23:34

@twiglet - I’m dreading this. I think my mum and my MIL want to be “on hand” which could be nice, or incredibly overwhelming and overbearing as they’d be staying in London (200 miles away each!).

twiglet · 01/12/2018 23:45

@powkin it's worth the discussion with your OH then sticking to it. She was put out by the original suggestion of us visiting in April. When I asked when she was thinking the end of February..... If I go 2 weeks over then that would mean he would be 1 week old.

DH is rarely firm with her prefers the ignore tactic but stated that the priority was for us to get settled for at least 3 weeks he didn't budge despite her trying to say it was unfair as my parents would visit sooner but it was explained the same thing had been said that we wanted to be settled.

It's worth deciding what you want and being clear!

Lulabell1 · 02/12/2018 07:41

Well im rather glad my MIL and me dont talk anymore afterva very big argument last year I generally cant stand her and she doesnt care about any of her 7 grandchildren so no visits from her! My mum however lives 10 minutes away and will no doubt be around every day! X

sickmumma · 02/12/2018 08:27

My MIL will be there at the birth! I am lucky we have a great relationship with PIL and they only live 5 minutes away so are helpful but not overbearing. Last time she would cook for us all and bring it round and things like that, take the older DS out and about when I was recovering etc. My own Mum however lives 400 miles away at the end of the country. She came and stayed when I had my eldest and it was the most stressful experience ever as I actually ended up in hospital with her!! It's like having an extra child and I'm glad this time she hasn't hinted at all about coming down so hopefully it's not on the cards at all! Brother said about booking her a flight down for March (due end of Feb) and I have said no I will go up in my own time (other family up there!)
