Ooh and 28 weeks today so officially third trimester! I can't believe how quickly it's going either and I feel like I want it to slow down a bit so I can enjoy my sleep while I can Smile (I'm lucky I've still been sleeping pretty well, my bout of pregnancy insomnia seemed to be short lived!).

Since2016 · 28/11/2018 09:49

Sleeping well here too. I had hideous pregnancy insomnia last time but I think it
Kicked in around 36/37 weeks... no GSD hoorah and not much swelling yet either. Can’t believe it’s almost December.... how time is flying!

Yakadee · 28/11/2018 09:55

Shattered today - I've been struggling with congestion as it is but now my son has a cold so was up every hour last night and for some reason 5:30 was wake up time this morning?? X

erykahb · 28/11/2018 11:23

30w tomorrow and feel less pregnant than ever. Baby must have changed position but my bump has shrunk a little and I'm more comfortable.

Has this happened to anyone else??

Lulabell1 · 28/11/2018 15:58

@erykahb yes my belly feels like it has shrunk and im nearly 30weeks. I think he may have settled in low down as i feel punches almost in my bum and kicks right in my ribs

erykahb · 28/11/2018 16:07

I'm glad you've said that Lula. I feel something similar, like I can almost feel him scraping my hip bones inside.

Congratulations Thanks

Surprisedmom · 28/11/2018 17:26

@erykahb I definitely feel him pushing/punching my hips from the inside sometimes too.

lanalawr · 28/11/2018 18:41

I'm so uncomfortable tonight. It feels like everything is squished. The baby must have moved up to squash my stomach. Sitting is the worst and it's making me feel a bit sick. I'm sure they'll move again soon but I'd forgotten how difficult it was to get comfy like this. Sorry for the pity party.

emalady · 28/11/2018 19:52

Thanks for the cramp advice everyone. I'm pretty sure I was a bit dehydrated which is probably why it happened. Drinking more today but will have a tonic with dinner too. Can almost pretend it's a g&t!
I also feel like baby is sitting a bit lower, its not very comfortable to stand especially with legs together, I'm so glamorous!!

AliceRR · 28/11/2018 20:30

Is anyone else finding their maternity clothes a bit snug now?

I have two pairs of H&M super skinny mama jeans and love them. Yesterday bought another pair in black which I’ve worn for work for two days but they feel so much more snug over my bump! Not sure if they are a smaller fit (same size as other pairs) or if I have just grown! I haven’t put much weight in anywhere so they are my normal size but they feel a bit snug on my bump so maybe I need to size up now to accommodate my bump... is this normal?

Celebelly · 28/11/2018 20:45

Mine are OK so far in my usual size (and I'm apparently growing a monster baby!). But I work from home so I don't really have anything fancy or overly smart - mostly just jumpers, t-shirts, leggings and one pair of skinny jeans! I'm still wearing some low-rise pre-pregnancy trousers that fit under the bump too.

Yakadee · 28/11/2018 21:01

My jeans flipping split the other day lol. Although, they weren't tight so not beati myself up Haha! Just ordered a few bits as (my trousers split) I just needed a few things to keep me going a few more months x

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 28/11/2018 22:00

I have three pairs of H&M skinny jeans... light blue, dark blue and black. The black ones are a bit too tight over my bump...

bubblybrit · 28/11/2018 22:52

Is anyone else just too uncomfortable to sleep at night?Doesn’t matter what way I lie....bump just feels really awkward and a bit heavy! So fed up of lack of sleep as makes my working day really tough 😢

powkin · 28/11/2018 22:57

I got Topshop under the bump maternity jeans on eBay and like all of them, especially as you can get short arse jeans! I’m usually a 12/14 but the 14 are a little big, not sure if the becasue they are second hand stretchy material or if because my biggest part is my tummy and it’s avoidint that part!

@bubblybrit - have been uncomfortable for months now! I wake up 4-6 times a night I think. I’m basically just letting myself sleep on my back because the risk is tiny and I’d rather get some blooming sleep.

bubblybrit · 29/11/2018 00:06

It’s awful isn’t it @powkin! I always slept on my tummy before I was pregnant so finding it difficult to find a new comfortable position.

babyp160 · 29/11/2018 06:35

@AliceRR getting snug too. They fit my legs but the bump but it's slowly making its way down. Damn!

DeliberatelyGinger · 29/11/2018 08:05

I'm having major issues sleeoing too. Some part of me always hurts. Mostly my shoulder and my out hip/thigh. I've got a body pillow and a new firm head pillow but it doesn't seem to help.

bubblybrit · 29/11/2018 08:27

I feel like a zombie today @DeliberatelyGinger! Seemed to get comfy exactly 5 mins before my alarm went off 😢!! Can’t wait to stop work and then try and squeeze in an afternoon snooze from time to time.

AliceRR · 29/11/2018 10:20

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking Interesting - maybe the black ones are a slightly smaller fit 🤔

@babyp160 It’s slightly annoying as I just bought them but feel I could do with a bigger size. They are a bit uncomfortable on my bump and I can’t quite pull them up enough so they are sort of leaving alone across my bump a few inches down from my bra... not ideal

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 29/11/2018 10:35

Really glad I'm not the only one with sleeping issues.

Lately I've been waking up around 3am and not being able to get back to sleep until 6:30, half an hour before my alarm goes!

Notquiteagandt · 29/11/2018 10:39

An other one struggling to sleep. Between being sick all night, needing loo every half hour, itching like crazy and struggling to get comfy from restless legs and general aches.

Honnestly think id get more sleep with a baby.

Does anyone else really struggle with anything touching their bump? Even a top just feels really iritating.

babyp160 · 29/11/2018 10:45

I'm sleeping like a baby at the moment and still tired! I surround myself with pillows which I'm sure OH loves 🙈

Surprisedmom · 29/11/2018 12:15

I’ve been getting worse at sleeping over the last few weeks, nightmarish dreams and waking up every few hours for the loo. But my mum said she gets bad dreams if her iron is low so i’m hoping that will reduce with the tablets i’m taking.

Last night I went to the breastfeeding part of my NCT course for two hours. It was good but I was so shattered I actually slept for 7 hours before waking up for the toilet - can’t believe that felt like a massive treat!

Surprisedmom · 29/11/2018 12:41

I thought this news article put in context how uncomfortable some of us are feeling and this woman wasn’t even getting a baby at the end of it all! Woman's ovarian cyst 'weight of seven newborn babies' www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-46387227
