Is anyone else's boobs/ boob leaking?

I am 28+1 and for a while now not every night but occasionally I wake up to one boob leaking onto my top?

Just wondering if this is normal at this stage?

Alicejj8x · 26/11/2018 09:02

@bubblybrit
I had my 4D scan Saturday and I was measuring ahead putting my due date to 17th Feb instead of the 21st by dates but I'll still keep my 21st I think :)

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 26/11/2018 09:24

My next update on my blog :)

Sorry you're feeling rotten @welshshepherdess :(

I have my growth scan at midday. Looking forward to seeing baby again but anxious in case she's massive!

Notquiteagandt · 26/11/2018 10:11

Alicejj8x

Mine started about 16/17w. Had to go the breast clinic for what turned out to be a hormonal cyst. But the dr there said it was totally normal. So I shouldn't worry Flowers

Welshshepherdess & yakader sorry you are both feeling so rubbish Flowers

Any one else utterly exhausted? Its just come on this week since babies dropped. Ive only just woken up and fell asleep at 6 last night!! And I dosed most of the day yesterday. Luckily I can just sleep.

Im quite highly medicated for my HG but this is something else 😴💤

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/11/2018 10:11

I'm mid-late February, the 20th Smile just hoping he doesn't come on the 22nd as that's our anniversary!

I strongly recommend all the usual old wives tales to get babies moving, pineapple, raspberry leave tea, dates, spicy food etc. Plus lots of exercise (what you can manage!) and being up and about. I only say this because it worked for me, I had the one sweep which got things going but I'm certain DS would have still come a few days early. From 38 weeks I felt as if I could go into labour any day, and I was right as it started in 38+5.

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/11/2018 10:13

Notquiteagandt I'm pooped! I've been feeling pretty good up until a week or so ago, but I've had two cold viruses in quick succession and even though I'm pretty much over them, the combination of being ill and reaching the third trimester (well on Wednesday, when I'll turn 28 weeks!) has floored me. Suddenly feeling much less mobile too, I walked DS to his previous-school which is only about 0.5 a mile if that (I walked there and back) and it's really tired me out.

Since2016 · 26/11/2018 10:32

I’m utterly flattened. 29 weeks this week and since last week I’ve been feeling exhausted. I have been feeling great too until the last week or so. Pushing the buggy every day uphill is killing me! Plus my commute.... as much as I’d like to go back in Jan I’m not sure I’ll manage. I’ll be almost 35 weeks which is when I went off last time... so probably just wishful thinking! Having a demanding almost 3 year old and an >hour train/tube commute is exhausting!

I really feel for those with younger kids although most of its a mental battle - don’t pull the dogs tail, please get dressed, no mummy can’t pick you up again, please just let daddy put your coat on / push the buggy!

Yakadee · 26/11/2018 10:32

There with you on the knackered front! I was hoping it might just be because I haven't been sleeping well but thinking maybe not. Xx

Notquiteagandt · 26/11/2018 10:48

Thanks ladies. I was starting to worry. Even checked the co2 detectors and everything. But seems it is perfectly normal! So that is a relief.

I am lucky in the sense im still on sick leave so can just sleep. Small blessing at least.

Surpose the mw when I see her next will advise if I need another iron infusion. As think could also be playing a part.

Did someone else ask about iron the other day? It is slightly painful but id reccomend infusion over iron pills deffiantly!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/11/2018 11:01

Since2016 it's exactly that - when you have other young kid(s), there really is no break. DH said to me yesterday "you never just take a break/take it easy", and he's right. When he takes DS to rugby tots on a Saturday morning, I'm using it as an opportunity to get a YouTube work out in! I don't work Mondays and DS is in pre-school 9:00 - 11:45, but I get up at 7am, get us both ready, walk him there, then have stuff to do when I get back (have done a load of laundry and been to the shop this morning!) and will have to leave in half an hour to walk him back (so tempted to take the car but I try and get him to walk as much as poss!) then it's the usual making his lunch, playing etc.

It's so hard!!! When I was this stage in my last pregnancy I was able to chill whenever I wasn't in work, I really didn't appreciate it!!!

Just curious as to those on sick leave - are you worried that if you get too close to your due date (I think it's 34+ weeks?) your employer can make you just start your mat leave early? I had terrible rib pain in my last pregnancy from 30 weeks and it's already started so I'm concerned I won't make it to 37 weeks, but I'm worried if I'm signed off even for a week towards the end, apparently your employer can make you start your mat leave. I wasn't signed off at all last time although the GP suggested it, as I was so anxious it really wouldn't have done me any good being home alone all week, but I was able to come to an agreement of doing reduced hours on the recommendation of the doctor. That's an option I suppose...

Notquiteagandt · 26/11/2018 11:14

I Start my maternity leave next Monday for that reason.

Been on sick leave since 6wks. So have to start my maternity leave dead on 29wks.

Not ideal...but it is what it is. I am not upto work.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 26/11/2018 11:50

I'm not starting my maternity leave until Jan 25th 🙈 wanted to leave it as long as I could.

hayley013 · 26/11/2018 12:04

I woke up and went into labour and had DD on my due date, so not experienced being early or late, though at this rate I'll be glad of an extra week, got so much going on. I doubt I'll think that at 40w 😂

Also exhausted but I can't sleep, spend the whole day so tired then can't get to sleep, when I do I wake about 2am for an hour or so, then wide awake 5am, literally having a few hours a night and feel rotten for it.

Think I'm just stressed, finding moving house a bit overwhelming, my mind is in overdrive constantly. Really need to try figure out how to chill out properly on an evening, any suggestions are welcome

hayley013 · 26/11/2018 12:06

Had a good old rant there didn't I 😂 I'm normally such a laid back person so I think half of it is hormonal

Celebelly · 26/11/2018 12:42

Back from growth scan. She's measuring 90th percentile so she's big but they're not worried about it, so that's a relief! They'll just monitor fundal height and if I need another scan in a month or so they'll do that, but at the moment she's just a big girl! 😬

Lookingforadvice123 · 26/11/2018 13:14

Notquiteagandt that sucks Sad wish they were as strict with other types of sickness! (Can you tell I line manage a serial sickness piss taker!). I looked it up and it's four weeks before the birth so that eases my mind a little, I hope I won't have to go off at all but I was in tears with it last time and it was a relief when I got my reduced hours, some days I ended up working my normal hours any way but it meant the pressure was off if I was in a lot of pain. I've got 3 weeks in work then 2 weeks off for Christmas, then another 4 weeks left after that so it's broken up into manageable ,hunks at least.

Since2016 · 26/11/2018 14:35

I think ours is 34 weeks too. You’ve had an awful time @notquiteagandt you poor thing.

I’ve got 4 weeks left, then 2 weeks off for Christmas and I’ve been dithering about going back for a week or two, although I wouldn’t be back at work until the 7th and I’m due on the 15th, with hopefully the section a week before. Seems a bit silly to go back for a week or two but I can’t decide - exhaustion may win though! Driving everyone mad with my flip flopping!

Lulabell1 · 26/11/2018 17:03

does anyone remember what it felt like leading up to labour? If they knew they was going into labour ect? Really dont no wht to expect because with DD i had her at 36 weeks really unexpected and my waters just broke one evening but nothing before!

Yakadee · 26/11/2018 17:12

Been to the docs and they've confirmed it is congestion and that I need to take time off work! So that's me in for the week.

@Lulabell1 - sorry I was induced so no Idea! X

AliceRR · 26/11/2018 17:50

I haven’t had leaking (think it was you Alicejj8x who mentioned?) but there is definitely something there.

Sorry if TMI but noticed something in the shower and something came out when I squeezed. I’m assuming that’s not so unusual but probably shouldn’t keep squeezing as would encourage We nipples?! 🙈

Celebelly · 26/11/2018 18:02

Our pram is here at least! (The delivery company managed to lose the first one somehow so they had to send another). And I bought the right car seat adaptors so our car seat fits on nicely. DP just walked me through clicking it on and off the pram and the car seat base and also folding the pram etc (he picks these things up quicker than I do cos I'm all thumbs Grin) and it all seems really easy, so I feel good that I'll be able to manage it all on my own.

Surprisedmom · 26/11/2018 18:35

I’m really empathising with all of you who are suddenly feeling huge/heavy/uncomfortable. In the last two days my little boy has definitely been pushing for more space and felt a lot heavier, I often feel what i’m pretty sure is his bum pushing up against my ribs and it’s pretty uncomfortable.

@Notquiteagandt I asked about the iron, they haven’t offered me the infusion yet, just tablets. The ones the doctor prescribed aren’t quite as bad as the ones from the midwife but are still upsetting my tummy a little, so I think i’m just going to take one a day for a few days until I get up some tolerance and then start taking two a day. If I can’t handle that i’ll ask for the transfusion.

hayley013 · 26/11/2018 19:06

@Lulabell1 I just felt really tired on the morning, lay around in bed but didn't sleep, then when I got up my tummy started tightening just like Braxton Hicks but with pain, like a period pain, coming and going, pain getting worse over time. Weirdly the bath stopped the pain but still the tightening came every few minutes.

AliceRR · 26/11/2018 19:18

Is anyone doing a hospita tour? I didn’t know about it til today and looked online but earliest available date is March!
