I probably just wouldn't tell people I was going for a scan if I wasn't going to/didn't want to share pics, as it's natural people will say 'oh I'd love to see a pic', most of the time just to be polite and not because they really are desperate to see them. It's just what you say to show an interest, really, as the assumption is that if someone is telling you they're having a scan etc., then they're expecting you to want to know about it.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 24/11/2018 12:12

@celebelly exactly this, you’re kind of inviting that response just by telling people.

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2018 12:43

4D scan went so so perfectly she is perfect smiling away for mummy & daddy 😍

I would 100000000000% say drink so much the week and day leading up to the scan! The lady said she could really tell I had drunk so much as the fluid level was perfect. Our pics were so so clear!!,

Yakadee · 24/11/2018 13:12

@Alicejj8x - that's so cute!!! X

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2018 13:14

Just add some of them in x

Notquiteagandt · 24/11/2018 13:23

Those cheeks 😍 so cute.

Such clear photos too. I always think they look a bit alien like usually. But they are fab!

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2018 13:35

@Notquiteagandt I know she's a chunk already 2lb9! Ahhh bless her

Oh I no what you mean a few we've got are alien like 😂😂😂 thank you x

Yakadee · 24/11/2018 13:43

@Alicejj8x - aww cutie! Bet you can't wait to squeeze those cheeks c

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2018 14:19

@Yakadee ahh I cannot wait now just crazy 12 weeks to go xx

Fredthespider · 24/11/2018 14:22

@Lulabell1 be careful with itchy feet as it's a sign of cholestasis so if it doesn't get better you might want to speak to your midwife x

Yakadee · 24/11/2018 14:27

I think I'll be having baby in Jan if they book your section in week 39 (means I only have 9 weeks yay!) as I'm due 3rd Feb. Hope none of you mind me sticking around in here though xx

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 24/11/2018 17:22

Just spent the day sorting our her clothes

Sil had her baby last night 6vweeks early and even though DD was late, made me think I'd rather just have it all ready and waiting.

bubblybrit · 24/11/2018 17:37

@Alicejj8x. Oh how lovely! How much did you drink each day leading up to your scan? Babybond haven’t told me to drink anything apart from a glass of water one hour beforehand!

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2018 17:47

@bubblybrit
I just drank doubled what I would usually drink really and then lots yday and today but it's defo worked a treat xxx

maxiflump1 · 24/11/2018 18:39

@Yakadee I may just sneak into jan as welll!! Am due on the 8th which is a Friday so if they do my section at 39 weeks it might be the last few days of Jan.

Am really struggling tonight with constipation, bloating and indigestion. Feel really uncomfortable and don't feel Iike eating anything. Think a few days of eating rubbish had caught up with me.

Thanks @Alicejj8x. Think I’ll try that as your photos are awesome x

powkin · 24/11/2018 20:26

@maxiflump1 - today was a real effort for me! As soon as my gut slows down all of me grinds to a halt! Had a stir fry for dinner so massive hit of veggies 🤣

Lulabell1 · 24/11/2018 21:31

Thankyou @fredthespider I definitely think its from getting too hot i had the same on my legs and arms! I itch so much i make myself bleed. Cant beleive all of you having Csections only have 9weeks left ish crazy! Nice to know the date but I kind like the not knowing bit

Since2016 · 25/11/2018 07:05

My consultant appt is in 3 weeks. Hoorah. Everyone I’ve spoken to reckons they’ll agree no issue. My date will likely be first week in Feb. Now wondering whether to go back to work in Jan for two weeks - mostly because DD is a nightmare at the moment and work is an easier option!!!

MrsY87 · 25/11/2018 07:18

@Yakadee I'll prob also have my babies in Jan as consultant said we'd aim for delivery at 37w which Is 25th Jan...scary that means 2m today which is flying past!

welshweasel · 25/11/2018 07:54

I’ll be January too - the latest I’ll go is 39 weeks which will be 28th January (also my son’s birthday!)

Yakadee · 25/11/2018 08:03

Quite a few creeping into Jan!

@welshweasel - what are chances of yours being born on your son's births? (It's my stepdad's too!)

@MrsY87 - wow, 2 months sounds like nothing!!!

@Since2016 - my consultant was lovely. In no way did she try talk me into anything and made it very clear it was my decision x

Yakadee · 25/11/2018 08:05

Also - I'm also 30 weeks today!! Woop x

welshweasel · 25/11/2018 08:09

@yakadee, I’m guessing if all goes to plan then it’s the date I’m most likely to be given. Will be quite weird as they were actually conceived on the same day too (ivf from same cycle) so they could be twins born 3 years apart! I’m thinking sharing a birthday could be a good thing - one cake, one party, no sibling rivialry re presents!

Yakadee · 25/11/2018 08:26

@welshweasel - that's amazing! I actually know a few who's little ones share a birthday.

So, I'm whinging about congestion again! I so don't remember it being this bad! I have had 6 really bad nights sleep and feeling very sorry for myself. I'm sure that tonight will be just as bad. Am I terrible for not wanting to go to work tomorrow just because I'm shattered? X
