Pregnancy definitely makes you clumsier; I keep bumping myself on doors as I open them and forget my bump makes me bigger. I also scalded my leg with boiling water a couple of weeks ago. I was very glad it was nowhere near the baby, but it hurt and I felt like a total numpty. Fortunately the mark it left seems to be fading now.

babyp160 · 17/11/2018 15:21

@Surprisedmom I have the same issue with the fridge door and my bump.

Maybe it's a sign I shouldn't open the fridge anymore 😬

Yakadee · 17/11/2018 15:25

@babyp160 - me too! My husband keeps trying to squeeze past me and I'm like, 'you know I can't breath in!' X

AliceRR · 17/11/2018 16:16

Last couple of nights I’ve struggled with painful buttocks and legs. A bit beyond restless legs. It’s worse on the left probably because I’m mostly sleeping on my left (I try to but it b uncomfortable or painful as it was last night I sleep on my other side!)

Anyone else had this?

bubblybrit · 17/11/2018 16:38

Eventually convinced my DH to go baby shopping today. We hadn’t bought anything and I was getting stressed as all you lovely ladies seemed so much more organised. Managed to buy the majority of the larger items - all due to be delivered mid Dec - pram, nursery furniture, car seat, bouncer....really pleased but quite an expensive day out! Maybe got a little carried away though as it’s our first Confused!

babyp160 · 17/11/2018 16:51

First baby and just had a longgggg bath. Dried off and sitting here drying my hair when I notice my nipples sparkling so I dried them and clear liquid is back again.

Is this not too early? Typical I'm out tonight at a party 💦 🙈

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/11/2018 17:40

I don’t think there is a ‘too early’, but then mine have always done this due to a hormone imbalance.. before I was ever pregnant 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yakadee · 17/11/2018 18:06

@babyp160 - I agree with @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking - don't think there's a set time. I can't remember with my first but I defo remember it happening and being like 'what!' So must have been early!

Nothing yet for me although noticed boobs are very sore again so maybe I'll be joining you soon x

Notquiteagandt · 17/11/2018 18:46

I started getting creamy or sticky clear discharge from my nipples at around 18w.

I had a lump in my boob (turned out to be a hormonal cyst) anyways it was enough for a referal to the breast clinic.

I mentioned to the dr there about my discharge. Wondering if it was a little early. He said completely normal and not to worry. Theres no set time as it depends on your hormones etc.

So I wouldnt worry Flowers

@bubblybrit doesn't sound TOO over the top, sounds like all stuff you need. I'm finding it much easier to pretend we haven't spent a fortune on this baby already doing it in little bits. To be fair she is costing less than the kitchen so far!!

Thought the kitchen guys had finished today, went to put things in the cupboards and we have shelves but no way of fixing them in the cupboards! And no way of plugging in the dishwasher so DH and I had to do the stockpiled dirty dishes by hand. So glad we don't have kids yet, can't imagine the extra stress.

bubblybrit · 17/11/2018 21:03

@emalady. I know what you mean. Our bathroom was finished last week. Couldn’t imagine going through that with a newborn!

I don’t think we bought anything that we didn’t need but feels a lot because we ordered it all on the one day! Lol Smile Plus we still need to buy a lot of the smaller items like nappies and clothes x

Camsie30 · 17/11/2018 22:10

@emalady I'm on week 9 of a huge renovation, don't have a kitchen and won't until after baby comes. My daughter and is living in the house, have a temp kitchen plumbed in upstairs, but I'm definitely starting to wonder what on earth I was thinking.... Just keep repeating "or will be worth it in the end..."

Camsie30 · 17/11/2018 22:11

That should say "my daughter and I"!!

emalady · 18/11/2018 07:56

@bubblybrit have fun with getting the "little bits", tiny clothes are so cute, it's difficult to control myself once I start looking!!

@camsie30 how old is your daughter? A 9 week project sounds long, I'm very impressed you are managing. I do love our new kitchen and the building work has made it much lighter, hopefully yours will all be worth it too. Its just very frustrating isn't it, especially when it takes so much longer than expected!

I got smug I only woke up once two nights in a row, cue rubbish night last night with about 4 trips to the toilet.

Alicejj8x · 18/11/2018 08:14

@babyp160
I woke up in the middle of the night to a wet patch which I can only imagine was leaking from my boob lol either that or I dribbled but I don't think it would
Of reached that part lol
I'm 26+4 so I'm hoping this isnok lol

Yakadee · 18/11/2018 08:18

29 weeks today! These weeks are rolling by.

Is everyone settled on names now? I'm finding it really hard! Xx

Alicejj8x · 18/11/2018 08:49

@Yakadee
Yes we have settled on our girls name
Now :)

Yakadee · 18/11/2018 09:09

@Alicejj8x - I think we have but have found it hard. Neither of us like each others first choice so we are compromising. It's a lovely name but just wasn't my first choice x

Since2016 · 18/11/2018 09:32

We have - following endless arguments. It’s not the name I had my heart set on but DH was immovable. Still like this name though - it pretty, not popular, goes ‘with’ DD’s name - all the important considerations for us!

Although he did tell his mum and sister despite my expressly asking him to keep it between us till she was born. Still hacked off about that tbh!!

DeliberatelyGinger · 18/11/2018 09:41

I have been in agony all night. I reached back to turn the light off and my shoulder suddenly cramped or something. I tried to get my DH to rub it better but he is just a bit too gentle. End up sleeping in a semi upright position with a hot water bottle pressed to it as I couldn't sleep on my side. It clucked a couple of times during the night and now I can move without squealing which is a blessing.

bubblybrit · 18/11/2018 09:42

Yes I’m definitely looking forward to buying some cute baby girl outfits @emalady!

Alicejj8x · 18/11/2018 10:00

@Yakadee oh bless you it's so hard

We've had a girls name picked out for as long as I can remember so it was easy for us lol xx

Yakadee · 18/11/2018 10:03

@Alicejj8x - so did we, or so I thought! Before my son was born we had a girls and boys name all lined up - we didn't find out.

Once he was born, he of course took the boys name.

My hubby is adamant that we hadn't agreed on that girls name and that he doesn't like it! I'd assumed we would use that name for any girls we had 😩

bubblybrit · 18/11/2018 10:27

My DH and I are struggling to agree on a name. He doesn’t like my favourite name at all Sad. There is a name that we both like but I’m so unsure as it feels like a huge decision and I don’t want to get it wrong!

AutumnLee12 · 18/11/2018 10:40

We had a list of 3 boys names and it's slowly been decreased to 1 as family/friends have had babies first and "used" those names. Luckily the remaining is our favourite but I'm now worried that either someone else will use it or he won't look like that name when he arrives! It's such a big decision isn't it!
