OK I know it's VERY early days folks but someone's got to start this thread sometime. Due date between May 4 and May 9. Any other takers?

Cab, yep AF was due today so it is now official!! I tried to make the appt with my doc but she and a few of the others at the surgery are on holiday so I ended up with a locum. I don't know if that will make it easier or harder to get the blood test but I'll definitely try! Great to know that it's available here.

How's everyone else doing? My symptoms seem to have calmed down a bit which is both nice and scary. It's nice not feeling so sicky but worrying too. I'm still doing an hpt every day and they're still ++ so I'm going to try not to worry too much (yea right).

tex111 · 09/09/2004 16:31

Oh yea, forgot to say that the appt is Monday afternoon and if the locum isn't helpful I'll call the EPU. They were great when I had the miscarriage.

cab · 10/09/2004 11:10

Well did they phone Tex?
How's everyone else?

Sorry to be shameless but I would like to draw all pregnant ladies' attention to the For Sale threads where I have advertised some maternity wear for sale. Good luck with the pregnancies!

northstar · 10/09/2004 15:55

Hi, i have been with you since the beginning of this thread but only just ready to actually read in black and white that im due in may 05!!! I have one ds 2.5yrs, and had a mc 9mths later so i am trying not to tell anyone in RL for a while. OMG i am going to have another baby

How is everybody feeling today?

tex111 · 10/09/2004 16:34

Hi guys

Yep, Cab. My Mom phoned yesterday. She went home for lunch so it was a very acceptable early evening call for me. She's so excited and I could hear my grandmother in the background shouting congrats too (she lives with them). Haven't spoken to my Dad yet but I'm sure I will this weekend.

Welcome Northstar! And congratulations! Do you have a due date yet? I'm due around the 21st.

Bit of an up and down day. Took DS out to do some shopping today and we were having a nice morning until I started feeling quite crampy. I had bought some more HPTs, took one and it seemed lighter than my previous ++. We came home and napped together and I feel a bit better about it now. I had a lot of lemonade with lunch so maybe it was a bit diluted and now the cramps have gone. Lord it's such a crazy time. I hate all this obsessing but can't help myself.

northstar · 10/09/2004 16:42

Thanx tex, and i hope you feel better soon. It really is such an anxious time, and doesn't it pass SOOOOO SLOWLY! I have to admit i gave all my pregnancy books away and have no idea when i'm due or how to calculate it, just know its very early days so must be may!

cab · 10/09/2004 18:22

Tex on the bright side of things you could use this 'confusing' test result to say you REALLY need the blood test when you see the doc on Monday. Unless it had gone from a very definite positive to REALLY feint I would try not to worry (says she who is!).
I'll probably do yet another test before I see doc - I WILL make an appointment early next week.
Northstar CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! . If you know the date your last period started and rough cycle length you can google 'due date calculator' or search on here for a link to work out your date.
Fisil and jnbsmum hope you're doing ok.

Hi Ladies

Congrats to all you expecting mums.
Would like to join you since I got a bfp this afternoon!!!

Calculated my date to be 15/5/05.

This will be my first pregnancy, so will be hanging round MN as often as possible to pick up some much needed advice.

ebbie22 · 12/09/2004 20:24

keepingquietforthemoment · 12/09/2004 20:56

About 11th May I think. Not really sunk in yet though. Congrats to everyone else.

cab · 12/09/2004 21:18

So, for the dates we know Fisil's due first and brighteyes last on the 15th. Maybe we should start drawing bets soon on what the reality is!
Night night.

Congratulations all and especially Tex111 - really delighted foryou!

LittleB · 13/09/2004 12:29

Hi everyone, I can join you too! I think my due date is about the 17th May. This is my first pregnany too, so I'm very excited, but a bit scared too!. I've got sensitive boobs, and a little bit of queasiniess and tiredness, and I'm hungrier than normal. Hope the sickness doesn't get too bad. We've told my partners mum and brother and sister as it will be their first grandchild/niece/nephew (my sister already has 2) and will tell my family when I see them as I'd rather do it face-face. Not sure when to tell work, I know its really early still but I've got a meeting with my manager on Thursday to discuss work for the next year, perhaps I should say something as this will affect my next years work! he is a sympathetic manager and his wife has just had their first. What do you all think? Have you seen your doctor yet tex111? I'm seeing mine on Friday. Sorry for waffling - I'm a bit excited!

cab · 13/09/2004 12:50

Congratulations Little B and ta Seabird. (LittleB would keep it quiet at work for now - even the nicest of employers can panic a bit re pregnancies.)
(p.s. Think Tex could do with a bit of support over on the miscarriage board folks.)

LittleB · 13/09/2004 13:05

Thanks cab, didn't know about tex111. I really hope things work out for her.

northstar · 13/09/2004 13:42

Hello everyone, how are you all today? I'm very well considering I'm eating like a pregnant woman ...... or an extremely big herd of hungry horses.

Can I do a quick roll call of all us may05'ers to save me having to re-read the thread

There's Fisil, cab, tex111, jnbsmum, Northstar, brighteyes (1st baby) keepingqftm and littleB (1st baby) so far.

Anyone else ready to join?

northstar · 13/09/2004 13:46

sorry, just refreshed and read about tex111.

Sid · 13/09/2004 14:17

Me, can I join in? Due date 3 May, baby no.4 (have ds who is 7, dd who is 5 and ds who is 3). Spent a long time being so miserable about not being able to afford any more, that my dh relented and gave me a 3 month window to conceive. Am terrified that, because I already have 3 lovely children, I am being greedy and will be punished for this (by not being able to cope with another, by having a sick child, by universal disapproval etc) When not terrified, my heart is leaping for joy... Haven't told anyone yet (except Mumsnet, now!).

northstar · 13/09/2004 14:23

CONGRATULATIONS SID!!!!! three cheers for that window of opportunity.

Welcome to the May 05'ers x

Are you suffering with all that lovely early pregnancy stuff yet?

fisil · 13/09/2004 14:56

Congrats Sid! I'm 3rd May too.

cab · 13/09/2004 18:32

Congratulations sid - you'll be our 'mother superior' then! I've just got the one but would have loved more - this is definitely my last try! (Funny even with just one I feel I'm lucky and don't want to mess things up either.)
Northstar those hungry horses have been here too - and (to be base) with constipation as well I feel I'm likely to explode any second.

Brighteyes · 13/09/2004 19:09

Congrats Sid and LittleB.

Nice to see the numbers growing.

Am I the only one with boobs the size of watermelons already? They seem to be growing by the hour. Hope it slows down soon, I've already had to buy new bras!!!!
