I feel so roughhh :( 11 weeks tomorrow. The end of this yuck ness must be in sight right? I woke feeling sick, ate toast, felt even more sick. Sickness went. Came back half hour later. Tried to eat some porridge which made it go for about 10 mins and now I feel sick again :( it’s draining. I feel like crap.

stellarfox · 25/11/2018 10:19

@toomanyflatwhites Oh no sounds awful! Good luck at your scan and hope you can get a nap in today

@Reastie I think it might be just council owned pools. I've never actually been to my local pools so not sure what they are like!

Curlywurly3 · 25/11/2018 10:25

Happy 10+1 day @littleray84

I've just Googled about the free swimming and it looks like it's only Bristol council offering it. @stellarfox are you from a different area?

I'm 10+1 today and after weeks of nausea and going straight to bed after work, I have started to feel human again. Obviously now I'm worried that's a bad thing 🙄 I'm looking forward to my scan on Thursday for some reassurance! X

Reastie · 25/11/2018 11:19

Curly Envy of you feeling like a human, I am very much with nap on the sickness (although you’re 2 weeks ahead of me nap). Constantly feeling very sick and that’s despite jingling like a medicine cabinet from the anti sickness medication, I’m so thankful for the medication as I’m barely coping with it let alone if I didn’t. However, in my weird cravings dh went out and bought me some tofu which although has gone down well I think the craving of it in my head was more satisfying than actually eating it.

Putting up playroom Christmas decorations today (never too early Wink ) and I so want to feel up to helping, I love Christmas but think this one will be a bit of a washout.

What are all your plans for Christmas? I was due to be cooking for my family but due to the fact I can’t cook because of nausea atm my mum has taken over cooking duties. At this point I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to make it over there on Christmas Day (it’s only local). I fear dh dd and I may end out eating oven chips or something!

LauralovesLuke · 25/11/2018 11:46

@maurisleftnipple I find that a couple of vegan meals sort me out - must be all those beans!! Hmm

Blondcat · 25/11/2018 12:02

Uuurgh for the sickness. 10+4 today and feel crap. Woke about 4.45 awake ages then went back to sleep woke at 8 felt sick had toast ok for about an hour then felt so rough with headache went back to bed slept for around an hour woke felt sick had a shower and now eating more toast. At least headache gone for now. Think it is a sofa day for me. Don't know how people do this this small dc hats off to you.

Curlywurly3 · 25/11/2018 13:15

@reastie and @blondcat sorry to hear you're feeling yucky. It won't be too long before we all start to feel human again! 😘

If you're having a sofa day I'd just suggest watching the Christmas Chronicles, it's a new film on Netflix with Kurt Russell as Santa.. get your tissues at the ready though! X

stellarfox · 25/11/2018 13:41

@Curlywurly3 Oh sorry, I am in Bristol but just assumed it would be the same everywhere! Ignore my swimming comment!

Hope you ladies feel better soon!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 25/11/2018 13:55

Tonight DH has arranged to take me up to London for a swanky birthday dinner, babysitter is coming at 6, the works.

I have never felt as sick and exhausted as I do today plus the children are being pretty mental.

Our sex life is non existent, my boobs hurt to touch and I’m constantly unwell. I feel that to cry off could make him feel rejected a step too far. DH is a solid, decent and reasonable man but between the children and my being at half battery I worry this may create a problem.

Reastie · 25/11/2018 14:41

Paulhollywood sounds like a nightmare! Could you suggest a more local evening out as a compromise? A close by restaurant so you can get home easier and earlier?

Torsz · 25/11/2018 14:43

@stellarfox I thought it was everywhere too! My sister is in Somerset and she had it at her local pool...!

toasterstrudle · 25/11/2018 14:55

God @PaulHollywoodsSexGut I could not handle a swanky night out at all!! What about changing for cinema? That's about all I could cope with just now. We also haven't had sex in god knows how long - been too sick or nauseous. DH and I have spoken about it lots, he knows the first trimester is always tough on me (and therefore us!) and that it'll get better. I'm sure yours does too.

MauisLeftNipple · 25/11/2018 15:27

LauraLovesLuke normally vegan meals help with my bowels, however I wouldn't manage lentils at the moment. I have hyperemesis and am really limited in what I can eat. I am craving red meat at the moment so am having some soft meat with bland carbs.

Lactulose sorted me big time yesterday so I will continue with it.

fee1234 · 25/11/2018 18:50

Evening ladies, it's scan day for a few of us tomorrow isn't it? My appointment is at 9 I'm so excited and a bit nervous!

Been looking into hypnobirthing... anyone experienced it before?

R4ch4el · 25/11/2018 19:17

Scan today and all well. I’ve been so nervous so such a relief to see a healthy little baby. Dated at 10+5 so need to go back again next week. Hopefully it will have grown into its giant head by then 😂

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up. I would say try not to be nervous and just enjoy it, but I know that’s easier said than done!

Bigonesmallone3 · 25/11/2018 19:28

Lovely scan pic 💗

fee1234 · 25/11/2018 19:34

@R4ch4el beautiful pic! 😃

Fabuluce · 25/11/2018 20:34

Ahh what a lovely pic!

I did hypnobirthing and whilst I ended up with an emergency c section rather than the lovely breathing it out natural birth I was working towards I think it definitely helped me stay calm throughout, for my DH to fully understand his part in the process (he was my walking, taking birthplan so I didn't have to be distracted unnecessarily, and using BRAIN (Benefits, Risks, Alternatives, Intuition and No) throughout the whole event. What our teacher kept on reiterating was that we were working towards the right birth for the day rather than hypnobirthing can only be successful if you have no drugs/intervention. That just takes away from the benefit of it and ironically can turn it on it's head and make it a really negative experience. So my two pence worth is shop around, not all hypnobirthing is the same! I did wise hippo hypnobirthing and I've heard daisy hypnobirthing is good too. This time I'm going with a local independent practitioner who is also a friend as she's in the same town as us and our lovely hypnobirthing lady is about 30 mins away.

hexagon01 · 25/11/2018 20:49

Just posting as I dropped off the thread, nothing interesting to share! Only exhaustion exhaustion exhaustion and waiting for scan (not til 7 December 😭)

jacquejacque · 25/11/2018 20:56

I've just had another bit of a scare - went to the loo and wiped away some really thick cm (sorry tmi) which was very light brown. 11+3 today, do I call midwife??

R4ch4el · 25/11/2018 21:02

@jacquejacque I’ve had the same thing for a few days at 6 weeks and then again at 10 weeks. I completely freaked out but was told that it’s pretty normal and not to worry unless it’s large amount (i.e. fills a sanitary towel) or you have strong cramps as well.
The first time it happened I went for a scan to check all okay, and the second time I decided to just wait it out and see if it got worse. I’m sure if you phoned the midwives in the morning they would get you in for a scan if you are worried.

Hope everything okay, I’m sure it will be xx

jacquejacque · 25/11/2018 21:03

Thank you @R4ch4el - was it thick as well? I had thin brown discharge at about 6 weeks and had an early scan but this seems a bit scarier Sad

lstef · 25/11/2018 21:07

@toasterstrudle and @napssavelives - I think we might be due on same day ish, or within a day (I'm 15th June NHS/standard LMP calculation, 17th based on ovulation date). Thought I'd wave as have seen similar scan dates - mine is 6th December. Can't wait.

My stomach is definitely changing - I have a flat bit up from pubic bone and then a crease, then it rounds out - I wonder if this is the uterus pushing everything up and making tummy look bigger? I am slim so it's def a noticeable change for me. If I push it out/relax my core it looks like a bump.

Have had a run of 3 good days - "ooo I feel more human today, ooo I can help with washing up cos I can stand for more than 10 minutes, ooo I can go out and walk faster than a snail, I hope everything is still ok in there, ooo I can cook dinner! and then probably did too much, felt that vomity feeling in Tesco earlier (wasn't sick thank goodness) then by 4pm shattered and back to carbs, coke and a nap.

I've been grateful to feel more human last couple days, also worrying a bit and hoping its all ok, then feel reassured when I feel rough again!

I'm gonna make a countdown sheet for my scan date cos this is draaaaaagggging.

waves to everyone else ( I don't know anyone IRL currently pregnant so it's been nice reading this thread).

R4ch4el · 25/11/2018 21:13

@jacquejacque it wasn’t thick the first time it happened (at 6 weeks) but was quite thick when it happened at 10 weeks, and was darker brown. It’s really alarming to see it isn’t, I was even scared to go to the toilet for a while, but everything seems to be just fine now so I guess it’s just one of those things. I googled a lot and it does seem to be really common.

jacquejacque · 25/11/2018 21:21

@R4ch4el thank you so much for putting my mind at ease, I'm hoping it's the same for me! Just been to loo again and all seems ok for now so will wait and see. Might call midwife in the morning and see what she says. X
