@R4ch4el I've done way too much googling this week and read that 25% of pregnancies have spotting in first trimester. Also I think nausea quite often goes around 10-11 weeks. I had a couple of days of feeling normal and got worried but now feel sick again. All the best for your scan.

@toomanyflatwhites I had harmony test with a scan. I think 10 weeks is too early to measure the nuchal fold but the sonographer checked everything else and said it all looked normal.

@JBCG I don't envy you having to pack. I hope you feel better soon and the move goes well.

I've got a party to go to in a pub on Saturday and I've pre ordered food that I don't think I will be able to eat. Should have just ordered a bag of crisps.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 21/11/2018 16:00

The guy who I cannot stand at work today spotted my baby on board badge staring up out of my handbag.

That’ll teach me for not zipping the fucking thing up.

I really didn’t want to share that info yet, especially not with someone like him.

Reastie · 21/11/2018 16:15

Paul you could’ve had in in your handbag to give to a pg friend if you had it from last pg.... I hate how it’s the people you don’t want to know that seem to be the first to find out.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 21/11/2018 16:17

He’d have seen through that in seconds @reastie I’m afraid.

He’s the type of douchebag that is highly likely to find a way to “use” that info for his own gain, no matter how much we all agree that shit is morally ambiguous.

jacquejacque · 21/11/2018 16:21

IVH @PaulHollywoodsSexGut people like him can get in the sea - I know exactly which type of bloke you mean and they are revolting.

jacquejacque · 21/11/2018 16:21

Ugh* even, no idea what IVH means Grin

Reastie · 21/11/2018 16:34

Oh that’s rubbish Paulhollywood, boo 👎🏻

MadeInCornwallx3 · 21/11/2018 16:40

Is there anyone on this thread who can add me to the FB group? I think I feel ready now I'm post- scan! 😬

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut Oh he sounds like a total numpty. I hate that shit. Hopefully he'll think better of being a total dick-wad.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 21/11/2018 16:41

He is the type who will IM me now for the next 29 weeks

“You feeling ok”
“How’s baby doing”
“How many weeks now”

all the while logging it in jobs mental Rolodex to eff me over with the first chance he gets.

I am a grade higher than him and he cannot stand it, and whilst I’m not his line manager per se he hates the fact he’s a rung below IYSWIM even if it is on the face of it irrelevant.

Might have a cry later.

Reastie · 21/11/2018 16:48

Made I think I can if you pm me your email

MadeInCornwallx3 · 21/11/2018 16:55

@Reastie Thank you! Have sent a DM x

toasterstrudle · 21/11/2018 17:57

Urgh @PaulHollywoodsSexGut that's shit! How many weeks are you now?

I've had to tell my work too at the grand old stage of 10+4 as been signed off work. Spent yesterday having an injection in my arse from my kindly old male gp to stop me vomiting. Thought I'd escaped the hg this time but apparently not. Hurry up second trimester!

Anyone got any scans coming up? Mine isn't til 7th December - feels an age away! Love seeing everyone else's in the meantime :)

R4ch4el · 21/11/2018 19:15

Thanks @LivingOnAPear and @Reastie for reassuring me. Feeling much less worried now. Roll on Sunday for my scan!

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut, he sounds like an arsehole. Could you just shut him down if he mentions it? Make it clear that you don’t want to talk about it?

user1499700094 · 22/11/2018 03:37

Hello everyone, can I join? I found out on Monday that I was 12+3 with my third Shock I have 2 boys, one will be 4 in Feb and the other is 15 months. This baby wasn't unplanned as we've always wanted 3, and when DS2 was a year old, I had a sudden urge to have a smallish age gap to the next one, but after 1 month of TTC, I got my period as usual so assumed it just wasn't happening. Couple of tough months at work where I was very glad NOT to be pregnant Grin I then missed one period, but did a cheap test that came back negative Hmm and then a month later finally bought a clearblue which was positive within a second! Booked a private scan for that afternoon thinking I might be 8 weeks, only to be told that it's the beginning of the second trimester!! Very shocked and haven't got my head round it - but having had several miscarriages between having DS1 and DS2, I'm feeling incredibly lucky to have got this far without the terrible anxiety I had with my last pregnancy, worrying every day until about 20 weeks. Anyway, my due date is 31st May but my other two have both been 10 days late so I'm expecting it to be in June. Can't concentrate on work at all at the moment as my head is just full of baby-related stuff! Also have been finding it so hard to sleep the last few nights, so have enjoyed catching up on this thread!

stellarfox · 22/11/2018 06:35

@user1499700094 wow welcome! That’s crazy you’ve basically got through the first trimester without even knowing! That’s especially good if you’re an anxious person. Congratulations!

My 12 week scan is at 9am this morning 😬

LauralovesLuke · 22/11/2018 06:46

Thank you @madeincornwall3 and @r4ch4el for your help!!

Reastie · 22/11/2018 07:20

How user14 that’s amazing to be that much further than you thought. Must’ve been a shock but at least you won’t have the pg dragging through time as you’re already 1/3 way through!

Toaster that’s rubbish, I’m signed off too. Hope you get medicine that helps you cope.

Well, I’ve booked private scan for Saturday as I have terrible anxiety and convince myself I’ve had a mmc all the time. Only thing is because of my awful nausea and anxiety related to it I haven’t really left the house for weeks so it’s a big deal to get to the appointment. Thinking of going out for a drive today if I can manage it just to build up towards Saturday.

fee1234 · 22/11/2018 07:39

Morning ladies! Welcome @user1499700094 😊

Good luck @stellarfox let us know how everything goes!

toasterstrudle · 22/11/2018 08:28

Aw Reastie I know exactly how you feel - I think it's all this extra time on our hands being off work! I keep googling private scans. How many weeks are you? I'm 10+4 today, had a scan at 8+5 which was amazing but keep wanting to book an extra one for reassurance. Nearest one is an hour away and that is also the only thing putting me off! 12 week scan isn't until 7th December though!

Welcome user! How amazing you skipped the first trimester anxieties - I'm very jealous!! Congratulations!

Hope everyone's alright this morning. Anyone else keep looking at the antenatal club board for an August group to appear?! Anything to make me feel further along, I swear!

toasterstrudle · 22/11/2018 08:28

Oh and good luck stellar!

Reastie · 22/11/2018 08:37

Toaster I think I’m 9 weeks and I’m surprised I’ve held out this long! If it’s all ok now I will feel a lot happier that chances are things will be ok for 12 week scan (which isn’t even booked yet). It’s over 30 minutes away so mentally it feels hard to get there.

Reastie · 22/11/2018 08:37

There must be an August group by now surely?

Reastie · 22/11/2018 08:38
jacquejacque · 22/11/2018 08:58

Hi all - I'm 11 weeks today and have my booking appointment this afternoon. Is anybody else trying to talk themselves out of the horrible feeling that something will have gone wrong? I am STILL overanalysing every single 'symptom' (or lack of) and it's really affecting my ability to enjoy being pregnant. I'm convinced I'll get bad news at my scan in two weeks - but I don't know why! I am still nauseous (and being sick), tired, have acid reflux, etc. I can't see any change in my tummy (it was a lot bigger a week or two ago, which I think was bloating in hindsight) which worries me, I have backache which worries me, everything worries me!

Sorry to be a moaner, just needed to get it out there!

Bigonesmallone3 · 22/11/2018 09:01

I really don't believe the first trimester was given to us to enjoy.. its full of anxiety and feeling like crap.. I'm looking forward to second and third trimester so I can enjoy it..
don't worry I think we r all in the same boat..
Only a week or so to go 🎉
