Just had a scan, they are dating me four days ahead which puts me at 11 + 4, look at it sucking its thumb 😩

Feeling relieved everything looks okay.

Ahh frustrating @Kescilly , I didn't know that either! Great that your scan is Monday though, and that you'd get money back from harmony test if it didn't work - they are not cheap!! I think if our nhs NT ones come back high risk we'll get one.

@fee1234 - what a fab scan!

@curlypasta rotten for you with the high bp, you're right you def don't want to be on bed rest for the next 30 weeks! Hope it'll settle soon.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 15/11/2018 19:10

@Kescilly Oh no that's such a disappointment for you - will they retest? Was it quite early?

@curlypasta I'm so sorry about the high BP - pregnancy can be a real shit sometimes. Glad the rest of the appointment was positive though.

@fee1234 What a great scan! I have my 12 week on Tuesday at 11+2 ish so it will be lovely if we can see something like that!

I've got another one to add to to roster of crap pg symptoms- occular migraine! I lost my vision from the centre out for about half an hour - kind of like a diamond shimmering, all different colours, so weird and a bit scary. Now have a headache. Bloody ace 😂.

MauisLeftNipple · 15/11/2018 19:17

I hope they can sort meds for you so you're not stuck on bed rest curlypasta.

Nice to see more scan pics. I'm only 8w tomorrow so who knows when my scan will be. I want to get the Harmony test and will see if I can book an appt for 11w.

Still feeling very, very, very ill, despite meds. Fed up of vomiting pink juice. GP has been great but asked me today if I've been trying ginger!!!!!

Skee · 15/11/2018 19:38

Absolutely cracking scan pics today ladies! Congratulations! The thumb sucking is adorable! ❤️

curlypasta that sounds awful! I hope the meds kick in and you’re feeling better soon x x

toasterstrudle · 15/11/2018 19:55

Also @Torsz great scan! I'd missed yours - sorry!

R4ch4el · 15/11/2018 20:05

Hi everyone,

So I guess I’m joining quite late, but I am only just starting to let myself believe this might be happening!

I’m not entirely sure of my due date. I’m 10+5 according to LMP but 9 weeks based on a very early scan I had (so maybe somewhere in between?!). Dating scan booked for the 25th so I guess I will find out soon.

Anyway, it’s been a relief to see I’m not the only one stuffing my face permanently Wink. Looking forward to getting to know you all and watching our pregnancies progress together Smile

Torsz · 15/11/2018 20:15

Thanks @toasterstrudle 😃 I can't stop looking at it's perfect little foot!!

And welcome @R4ch4el - this forum has been an absolute lifesaver for me in recent weeks, long may it continue!

Kescilly · 15/11/2018 21:40

Loving the scans!!

@MadeInCornwallx3 yes I’ve booked a retest tomorrow. I was something like 10+5 at my first test and I’ll be 12+0 tomorrow so hopefully we will get some sort of results.

LivingOnAPear · 16/11/2018 05:03

@toomanyflatwhites I don’t think you will be consultant led due to age alone. I’m 40 too and am midwife led at the moment. On my notes there’s a chart of risk factors and depending on what they tick you end up in a high or low risk category. Being over 35 was one of them but didn’t make a difference on its own.

@Kescilly sorry to hear your NIPT didn’t work. I had it on tues at 10 +4 (at ultrasound direct) so am thinking I might have the same thing. Hope you get your results soon. I know it’s not nice waiting.

I finally managed to leave the house on tues after being really sick for a while. Had a private scan near London so had a day out at the same time. The baby was fine but they found a small haematoma so now I’m stressing about that. They said to get it checked out at 12 week nhs scan.

I made the mistake of googling and in other countries people get put on bed rest if they have one. I called midwife who said carry on as normal but when I mentioned exercise she said “er don’t do that”.
So I feel in limbo at the moment. I’ve had lots of pains and am expecting to bleed at any minute.

toomanyflatwhites · 16/11/2018 10:09

So lovely to see the scans, can't wait for ours! (But I know I'll also be totally sick with anticipation when we get to the day).
Not baby related but DP and I are sitting waiting at the registry office to officially give notice of getting married! Whoot!! Still haven't told anyone yet as we plan to tell them both things at once and do it quickly - probably January or February!

sk17 · 16/11/2018 10:23

All the beautiful scans have got me so excited for mine. Another 2 weeks to go 😢.

I'm so sorry to hear about the hypertension and re-testing. Hopefully meds work and the re-testing is positive ❤️

Welcome @R4ch4el this thread is the best thing ever 😬

sk17 · 16/11/2018 10:25

@toomanyflatwhites awww congratulations on getting married ❤️ have you got a date in mind

toomanyflatwhites · 16/11/2018 10:32

Thanks @sk17 am amazed DP changed his mind as he always said never ever!!
The target date is officially "before I look like a whale" 🤣🤪

sk17 · 16/11/2018 10:44

@toomanyflatwhites aww sooo happy for you ❤️ i'm sure you'll slay the wedding dress no matter how far along you are 😬

fee1234 · 16/11/2018 10:54

@toomanyflatwhites aww that's so lovely! Exciting times!

Wish it was me - I've known for a couple of months that my boyfriend has bought a ring, but he's not given me it yet... unless it's gone to someone else lol!

toomanyflatwhites · 16/11/2018 11:17

Thanks @sk17! It will be tricky to know what to buy as I think maternity dresses tend to be for further along, but I might be too big for a normal one. Plus we are not planning on being very traditional, but I still want something nice..I think Seraphine could be the way to go as they do maternity dresses for about £300ish!
And @fee1234 was the ring bought pre BFP? What's he waiting for? Cmon Mr Fee (to-be!) we cant bloody choose a ring as too damn fussy - and then I accidentally tried some on in Tiffany (engagement + wedding ring) that cost a small fortune and now am not sure if anything else will do, but I also think it's way too much to spend (even if DP doesn't!)

Kescilly · 16/11/2018 11:32

Congrats @toomanyflatwhites! So exciting! I’d recommend planning a slightly too large dress and factoring in a budget for small alterations. I worked in a bridal store and it was difficult to gauge how someone would look a few months down the line. But I did realize that more than anything, it’s important to have a dress that fits well. Just a few alterations here or there can really change the look of the entire dress.

How cool is it that your baby will be at your wedding!

fee1234 · 16/11/2018 11:57

@toomanyflatwhites it was bought a couple of months ago when we were ttc! He asked me to pick one I liked because he's hopeless, so I picked it and he's hidden it (his sock drawer 🙄)

We are going away the week before Xmas to Iceland and New York, so I'm wondering if he is waiting until then! Can't say I've been much fun on date nights these days anyway, most are spent lying down feeling nauseous.

LivingOnAPear · 16/11/2018 12:17

Does anyone know when we get the nhs exemption cards? I forgot to ask the midwife. I ticked that I was exempt on my prescription the other week even though I don’t have a card yet.

SassehMonsta · 16/11/2018 12:26

Living, my midwife gave me a form at my booking in appointment and I sent it off there and then. It's backdated by 1 month from when you apply for it. If you haven't sent off the form, contact your GP or midwife to get one filled out for you!

spottypyjamas · 16/11/2018 12:37

Hello all.

I've been very quiet on here. Just trying to distract myself from it all really. Had a very traumatic day yesterday though. Just arrived at work and had a massive bleed ie trousers soaked blood dripping down to ankles. Pretty horrendous, no one at work knew about pregnancy. I was Initially told to wait 2 days for a scan but after continuous heavy bleeding I got checked out and had a scan and all absolutely fine. They said it must have been a haematoma and nothing of concern on the scan. I had the same with my last pregnancy around the same time. Literally like waters breaking but with blood. So stressful but all ok so sorry to share the graphic details but it anyone else has such an experience hopefully knowing that all can be ok is helpful.

@livingonapear don't mean to worry you 're the haematoma but it's sometimes nice to know what may happen and that even though scary all can be ok. X

spottypyjamas · 16/11/2018 12:39

Troublesome bean....

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 16/11/2018 12:42

Anyone here had their symptoms change yet? So the good news is the intensity of sickness has waned but I’m left with a constant feeling of emptiness not long after I eat, I’m thirsty as hell, like LITRES thirsty and the lightheaded ness is worse.

I have cold that is not helping but anyone got THE thirst?

Ps anyone know if you can supplement vitamin D when preg?

Kescilly · 16/11/2018 12:52

@LivingOnAPear my midwife offered the form at my booking appointment as well. I didn’t fill it out because I already have an exemption card, but definitely ask your midwife about it.

@spottypyjamas how awful! I’m relieved that all was okay but can’t imagine how stressful that must have been. Wishing you an uneventful pregnancy from here on!

I had my redraw for the Harmony test today, went fine. The upside is that she did another quick scan and the little one was wriggling away. So I feel better about telling my in-laws tomorrow. My husband doesn’t have any siblings so we are their only hope for a grandchild.
