Ladies if your suffering with nausea and sickness ask your gp for some anti-sickness tablets.
I was bed bound from the nausea and loosing weight and worried as I was hardly keeping fluid down.
My gp prescribed me cyclizine 50mg and it really helps. Xoxo

Skee · 14/11/2018 13:08

Welcome and congratulations to the new members! x x

Commiserations on the nausea. I’m bloody miserable 😩 and also joked to DH last week that I’d happily be put in an induced coma 😬

So snacking to assist nausea looks a bit like this:

Monday - Baby rice cakes, awesome! These are helping! Nibble nibble nibble.

Tuesday - going to buy more rices cakes. Thanks fuck I’ve found something that helps! 😅

Wednesday - Cannot stand rice cakes 😷 but oat cakes are life!

Thursday - no more oat cakes... let’s try rich tea biscuits...

Friday - rich tea make me boak, ready salted baked crisps... winning! Buys a multipack.

Saturday - lucozade.

Sunday - no more lucozade 😭 I thought I’d found the key 😭

Monday - pancakes.

Tuesday - I’ve given up.

Wednesday - abject misery, suspects hibernation is the only way forward 😩

Awesome pic fabuluce! x x

Reastiepeace · 14/11/2018 13:39

Skee that is so true. It varies by the hour what I can manage and I have days of eating the same thing over and over and over as it’s akk I can manage so I go out and buy it in bulk only to find I then can’t eat it any more!

fee1234 · 14/11/2018 13:46

I'm a snack monster today. Feel sick if I don't eat regularly

Breakfast - two weetabix

Snack 1 - skips
2 - Apple
3 - tin of chicken soup
4 - crunch corner yoghurt
5 - packet of baked crisps
6 - bite of angel cake

And it's only quarter to 2

stellarfox · 14/11/2018 14:44

@Fabuluce what a lovely scan! I’m having mine a week tomorrow eek! As of today it’s the size of a brussel sprout :)

MadeInCornwallx3 · 14/11/2018 15:11

Oh @Skee that did make me laugh 😂!

I'm going on a minute by minute basis. Nearly threw up in the supermarket earlier but bought one of those DIY salad things. That was ok.

Soup seems OK, also my best friend the ginger nut.

Cooking dinner for my younger two usually makes me hurl so dinner is ALWAYS a nightmare.

Day, by long arse bloody day...

(Please, please end soon 🙏🏻)

SmallGeezer · 14/11/2018 15:50

Hi all - sorry to hear of so many poorly ladies! I have basically no symptoms and am worried nothings going on down there- 3 weeks till my 12 week scan to wait! Until 6 weeks I struggled with tiredness but that seems to have eased up, boobs have grown, but I generally feel fine. Wish I had some reassurance that there is actually something happening!

toasterstrudle · 14/11/2018 16:59

Great pic @Fabuluce !!

Bigonesmallone3 · 14/11/2018 17:11

OMG guys, quite a good morning this morning... I wasn't sick I was like woo
THEN
in the car driving to school, in traffic I'm like shit.. it's coming.. looking round the car for something I can vom in.. the only thing I had to hand was DDs blanket 😭
Never felt so gross

toasterstrudle · 14/11/2018 17:17

Haha oh no I did that last week in dh's car - into my hands!! He was appalled! I had told him to pull over though and he didn't do it quick enough Grin

Blondcat · 14/11/2018 17:41

@fee1234 that is me too just eating often to try to stop the sick feeling. I think I have already gained about half a stone though think the boobs are the cause of some of that!

I have nausea pretty much all day and been dry heaving a good few times a day. I really have the being sick phobia and I think my body is actually stopping me from being sick but bloody hell it hurts heaving!

Really trying not to moan as this is my rainbow baby and desperately wanted just feel so crap at the moment.

KoalasAteMyHomework · 14/11/2018 17:48

@Skee yep you've summed it up perfectly. I am existing on crisps today.

Reastiepeace · 14/11/2018 17:52

Blondcat I have emetophobia too, it’s rubbish at the best of times.

curlypasta · 14/11/2018 17:52

I’m having a fart day. Which is good actually coz I’m hoping it might deflate the MASSIVE bump I have. Had to tell boss today despite my best plans, couldn’t hide it. I genuinely look 5/6 months gone. Scared it’s twins!

socktastic · 14/11/2018 19:42

Just needing to vent/complain. Nausea this evening is horrendous. Dh is out at a friend's leaving do. I've just had to get the toddler to bed. Couldn't face giving him a bath so he's gone to bed smelling like a foot. I very nearly threw up on him putting him to bed. (That could have been somrnsort of karmic payback from him bring a colicky baby...). I want to go to bed but he's not asleep yet. Actually pissed off with my husband for getting out.

hexagon01 · 14/11/2018 20:00

Glad to hear you’re all as miserable as I am 😉

My good news is that my little boy has been sleeping through 11 hours! For the first time ever! For a whole week!!! This is probably too good to be true and I still feel exhausted but oh my I’m so happy with him.

I’ve taken to sneaking a packet of McCoys crisps at work at 8am before anyone else gets there and that seems to help me a bit! Also eating small bits regularly.

@curlypasta honestly I’ve no idea how I’m going to hide my ‘bump’, I have so few clothes and hide it and they aren’t really working any more...

Kescilly · 14/11/2018 20:08

I feel like I have nothing to contribute to this discussion! Not that I'm asking for nausea. I'm lucky that my main symptom has been fatigue.

Chocolate45 · 14/11/2018 20:17

I would honestly advise anyone who is struggling with nausea or sickness to speak to their GP. I don’t know what id have done without the Cyclizine, it’s really helping. I can push through the tiredness. Not saying that medication is always the answer but it’s turned me into a human again. Glad you’re not suffering too bad kescilly how many weeks are you? Some people seem to avoid the sickness completely. The fatigue is still tough though!

Kescilly · 14/11/2018 20:26

I’m 11+5 today @Chocolate45, but I’ve gotten off pretty easy. I had a bit of nausea right at the beginning and a few episodes in between, but nothing like what others experience. I was convinced there wasn’t actually anything inside me and was surprised when we did an eight week scan!

Skee · 14/11/2018 21:44

Ah commiserations fellow sicky friends 😩

That snack swapping was quite helpful, going to treat myself to a crunch corner tomorrow! 🤤

I suffer from emetophobia too, the anticipation of being sick is as bad as being sick for me, and I have an abject fear of puking in public 😳

Huge hugs to the recent car vommers 😱 x x

And we are allowed to moan, it doesn’t make us ungrateful! I’m delighted to be pregnant, this baby was very much planned and the human body astounds me with what it goes through to grow and produce a baby... but bugger me, actually being pregnant sucks! 😂 😷

Skee · 14/11/2018 21:45

Laughing at the shred misery hexagon 😂 great news about your wee one though! x

Skee · 14/11/2018 21:45

*shared 🙄

lstef · 14/11/2018 23:09

9+3 today, and oh my ready for the nausea to end. I was sick earlier and that gave me some relief from it. I used to be phobic of being sick, but so far I haven't panicked. It might be a different story if I was driving or at work!

oh and the never ending pondering what the hell to eat next to avoid the next wave of nausea. I know others have it a lot worse though.

And don't get me started on the fatigue, can barely walk 10 minutes without being out of breath.

anyway thats my moan for today. Genuinely excited about next June but this bit sucks!

fee1234 · 15/11/2018 06:59

11 weeks today! I said that to my boyfriend this morning and he said, 11 weeks until what? 🤨
