I'm with u on that one! Iv lost weight, I'm sick most mornings, I'm nauseous all day, food makes me feel worse, I'm struggling to drink and I'm exhausted..
But two other children and a part time job, I just can't stop!
I would kill for just a day in bed

gossipgirl28 · 07/11/2018 15:58

@Bigonesmallone3 you sound like super woman! I have no idea how you are managing to look after 2 children and work whilst feeling like you do!

This is my first baby so I'm lucky I don't have other children to look after at the moment.
I've lost weight too but find eating toast and dry cereal does help take the edge off. Hope we both feel better very soon xx

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 16:02

@gossipgirl28 @Bigonesmallone3 sounds awful, I don't envy you and hope you feel better soon. I don't have any sickness, but the tiredness is real. My first baby too but I have two step-daughters and the poor things don't understand why I won't play anymore! Daddy isn't as fun apparently!

fee1234 · 07/11/2018 16:05

@Bigonesmallone3 Seems to be! I'm in Glasgow - when I finished one scan they said for an extra £30 you can have another within two weeks... so I couldn't resist

MadeInCornwallx3 · 07/11/2018 16:07

@SpunBodgeSquarepants

I am so so sorry to hear this, the wine and food sounds like a great idea. Exactly what I'd do. I really hope for you that you have a sticky one really soon. Please do let us know how you get on.

@AnyaMumsnet I think @pollykins151 said she'd be happy with it moved but wasn't sure how to.

KoalasAteMyHomework · 07/11/2018 16:28

Just checked in on the thread as didn't get any notifications.

Am so so sorry to here your news @Peanut1980 and @SpunBodgeSquarepants

Hope you are both being looked after, thinking of you x

Reastiepeace · 07/11/2018 16:43

Spunbob I’m so sorry, take care of yourself. X

Gossip yes I’m signed off with dire pg nausea. I had it last time too all the way through. I literally can’t look after myself and have had to enlist family to help with dd. I’m wishing away time as each moment is going so slowly. Last time of mentally broke me I was so lonely and isolated and poorly and it led to me having an anxiety and depression. I’m really scared I’m going to go the same way again. I’ve been feeling sick since before af was due and I’m over a week behind you. You have my every sympathy.

lstef · 07/11/2018 17:18

@gossipgirl28 I am signed off too, I keep comparing myself to others and then feeling pathetic but then I remind myself everyone copes differently with nausea (and dry heaving with about 30 second notice ugh) - I can move around or do a short walk for max 1 hr some days and then I feel like crap afterwards. I was going to try working today with the caveat that I might need to go home early - manager said no, they can't afford to replace me at such short notice. I am a support worker and it's important that I can stay a whole shift. At these times I miss my office job where I could have gone home without it immediately impacting the team.

But hey, thankfully my doctor signed me off again without needing further explanation - I feel for those that struggle to get the right care.

I have wanted this for so long so it feels right to give my body the rest it needs to grow another life! I am 8+3 and cannot wait for scan date to come along! I just want to know if it's all ok in there!

toasterstrudle · 07/11/2018 17:28

Oh god @SpunBodgeSquarepants I'm so sorry, I know exactly how you feel. I really, really hope the next one sticks for you. It's just the most unbearable thing. Wine, Brie, pate, tears and time. Sending you love ❤️

JBCG · 07/11/2018 17:30

Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately. I have been away with DP following my scan last week trying to sort stuff for our new house (moving in 3 weeks!). Been bleeding pretty heavily since Saturday - I say heavily, it's still probably classed as spotting as I'm only having to use panty liners (sorry tmi) but I haven't had any nausea and am not noticeably more tired than normal, my boobs still hurt though. I've got a scan booked on Friday so until then am trying to remain positive by thinking that I'm just going to be one of the unlucky ones who bleeds throughout pg and everything else is fine. I'm trying to stay positive anyway, but because of the spotting and cramping I've had, with my HCG blood test not rising last week, my positivity plan isn't going very well 😔

Welcome to all newcomers though!! And good luck to all those having scans this week!

So so sorry @Peanut1980 and @SpunBodgeSquarepants. Take care of yourselves xx

Sorry for the slight ramblings above, just tried to reread and make sense of it but my head is too scrambled with what's going on. Hope it makes sense x

Peanut1980 · 07/11/2018 17:45

@spunbodgesquarepants I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Cry and let it all out. I feel a bit more accepting today and just want to move forward with the inevitable. I haven’t started bleeding yet. I’m back at my clinic on Friday to discuss next steps. Sending you some love and strength to get through this. Wishing you a quick recovery and a sticky BFP real soon.

Thanks for all the kind words ladies x

pollykins151 · 07/11/2018 18:14

@AnyaMumsnet no worries I just don't know how you do it

Napssavelives · 08/11/2018 05:57

Scan thus afternoon, I’m so nervous. Trying to tell myself that given how rough I feel everything should be fine , that I’ve had no bleeding. There is no reason to think that there won’t be anything there. But missed miscarriages happen, I used to work in gynaecology as a nurse and I’ve seen a lot so I guess in my head they are even more common than they actually are. I know too much to be able to relax

SassehMonsta · 08/11/2018 06:10

Exhausted here and trying to crawl through the week. Dh working overtime today and tomorrow when usually he would be home with DD so having to organise to take her and collect her from my mum's, as well as taking him to work and me. I'm off work mon-wed next week but still have to run everyone around. Monday I have my dating scan, at 11+6, so looking forward to that!

SassehMonsta · 08/11/2018 06:12

Reastie - keep talking to us, and to those over on the HG board. This will pass, I promise. What part of the UK are you in? Maybe we can find someone else nearby to chat with you if it's all getting to much

fee1234 · 08/11/2018 07:29

10 weeks today! Had to put on my new h&m maternity jeans (they are so comfortable btw, it's the 'super skinny mama' ones)

Normal work jeans are just too tight at the waist and gets worse sitting at desk all day, but these are perfect. Plenty of room to grow with.

LivingOnAPear · 08/11/2018 09:13

@JBCG hope you’re ok. All the best for the scan tomorrow.

MauisLeftNipple · 08/11/2018 09:17

9.15 and eating crisps. Feel like poo. Also, unable to poo. Going back to bed I think.

Littleray84 · 08/11/2018 09:19

Morning ladies
8+1 today and when I went to the toilet this morning I noticed some brown discharge when I wiped. Phoned the midwife and have a scan at Epu this afternoon at 1pm.
I'm so worried, I had a Mmc at 10 weeks in August and had 1 day brown spotting then.

Symptom wise I'm still very nauseas and have sore boobs. Just hope everything is ok 😔.

Kescilly · 08/11/2018 09:27

@JBCG house moves are stressful even without anything else! Are you moving far? Hoping you get some good news at your next scan.

@Peanut1980 how are you doing today? Wishing you lots of strength for your appointment tomorrow.

@Napssavelives that knowledge is difficult, but they aren’t your experiences. Try not to take on grief prematurely. Hopefully everything goes well at your scan!

I had my Harmony test last night and she was kind enough to do another quick scan. Everything is measuring on schedule and my husband was amazed to see the little one moving all about. We are hoping to have the Harmony results back next week and then tell his parents the following weekend. I’m currently 10+6 by the private scans and have my NHS scan on the 19th.

AnyaMumsnet · 08/11/2018 09:43

Hi all,

We're moving this to Antenatal Clubs now.

JBCG · 08/11/2018 10:09

Thank you @LivingOnAPear x

Good luck @Littleray84 - hope all goes well x

@Kescilly not far but the house was a bit of a restoration project so just trying to make sure the floors are down and we have heating before the move! Trying to keep myself busy with that this week so I don't worry. DP and I went on a little weekend trip to get stuff for the new house as we were supposed to be in Egypt these last two weeks but had to cancel so silver lining is that I've had two weeks off work to get packing!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 08/11/2018 10:32

Good luck to all those with scans coming up.

I've been really bloated for weeks and suddenly its stopped which I suppose I should be grateful for. Had my booking appt last Fri but waiting on my scan date. Will be 9 weeks tomorrow so should get the date soon I hope and the scan around early Dec. Hate this first bit, trying not to get too anxious. Just feel a bit bad for my son as I am so tired all the time. Worries me for when baby arrives!

SassehMonsta · 08/11/2018 10:45

Feeling vile again this morning, and back at work after the abandoned attempt yesterday morning. Feeling hungry but nauseous and no vomiting (yet). People keep asking how far along I am at work (11+2 today) and asking how long the sickness lasted last time.... 20 weeks ladies! Dating scan next Monday, consultant appointment the Wednesday after, and then we shall see where we go from there.

I hope I am feeling less shit for December, as we have birthdays coming up, including FiL, BiL, my sister, my mum, and DD (will be 4). Along with winter solstice and Christmas, December is super-busy. And, I have booked a trip to Harry Potter Studio Tour as well!!!

LivingOnAPear · 08/11/2018 11:31

Feeling so ill today. Sickness seems to be getting worse. I’m 10 weeks tomorrow and really hoping it starts to ease off so I can have my life back. Supposed to be going to see a band tomorrow as my friend bought me a ticket for my bday but I’m going to have to cancel Sad

Also feeling pretty down after my midwife appt. she said it’s now the hospitals policy to induce at 40 weeks for over 40s. I was 2 weeks late for my dd and have just mentally added 2 weeks onto my due date expecting the same this time. Hoping for a home birth and a positive experience this time. I know there’s no point worrying at this stage but I wish she hadn’t mentioned it.

Sending get well soon vibes to all the other people struggling today.

Is anyone else getting really severe headaches?
