@napssavelives do you have any other symptoms? From what I understand, ectopic pregnancies are fairly rare, but if you’re concerned then you should contact your GP. I had shoulder pain one morning but decided it was probably because I had slept funny, and it was.

Someone else mentioned having the thread moved back to the ante-natal clubs topic. I think that this is a good idea but I’m not sure if anyone but the OP can request it. Should someone try reporting it and ask anyway?

Napssavelives · 07/11/2018 07:27

Nope no other. Top of my arm a bit sore too so think I slept funny . Will keep an eye and if any other symptoms develop will get seen

SassehMonsta · 07/11/2018 08:50

I have my dating scan next Monday, 1pm. I will be 11+6! Quite excited and hoping my nausea fades a bit soon.

For those of you with symptoms that come and go, that's normal, I promise! It's just hormone levels fluctuating throughout the day.

Are you all taking your folic acid? Who has started doing any pelvic floor exercises?

I am going to go back to aquanatal this week for the first time this pregnancy. :) I am looking forward to it.

I hope those of you with pain, cramps, aches, and sickness all feel better soon x

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 08:56

Hi all, I've been scared to join this board as I previously joined the 'March 2019' thread but sadly miscarried.

I'm 9 weeks now and had an early scan past week showing a strong heartbeat so feeling a little more confident. Has beena worry for me though as barely any symptoms (sorry to those suffering...) but would have liked some so that I know I'm actually pregnant!

I've had an up and down journey from Clearblue test going backwards from 3+ to 2-3 at 6 weeks (work of the devil those sticks, don't do them!) to a bleed last week and finding out I have a blood clot below the sack.

But I'm pregnant and here, due 11 June 2019. Good to joing you all! X

MadeInCornwallx3 · 07/11/2018 09:28

Good luck for your scan today @SpunBodgeSquarepants ! I had mine on Saturday at 9 weeks too. Very exciting!

Welcome @Heebyjeeby99 ! Fingers crossed this time all is looking good for a successful pregnancy.

I'm waiting for my 12 week scan date - my midwife said it should come through this week so I'm literally stalking the postie 🙈

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 09:35

@MadeInCornwallx3 thank you! I'm actually tempted to book a private scan for next week (10 weeks) as another 3 weeks to go before my dating scan which feels like a lifetime....but my DP said that's a bit ridiculous. I'll see if I have the willpower to hold out....

MadeInCornwallx3 · 07/11/2018 09:38

@Heebyjeeby99 I loved having an early scan. It's nice as you get a good look at bean just to get acquainted without there being medical tests if that makes sense.

Go for it if you want one - it's a lovely experience and you get pictures to keep too.

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 10:26

@MadeInCornwallx3 that's enough to convince me...I've just booked it for next Thursday when I'll be 10+2! Blush best start thinking of ways to tell DP......

Fabuluce · 07/11/2018 11:11

👋🏼 at Heeby, welcome! I'm having a scan at 10+3 too. Nowt wrong with that!

I can't metabolise folic acid properly so take Pregnacare Max as that has methyl folate which is a different form of folic acid that I can metabolise. Been taking it since beginning of September and will do so until birth.

stellarfox · 07/11/2018 11:13

I’m 10 weeks today and scan is in 2 weeks and a day. I had a scan at 8 weeks which was fine but I’m just worried about lack of symptoms if I could have had a mmc. Not sure whether to book a private ultrasound for reassurance or just wait it out! :S

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 07/11/2018 11:34

Well everyone, I'll be leaving today. I went for my scan this morning at bang on 9 weeks and there was just an empty 17mm sac. This is exactly what happened last year. I sobbed all the way home, I still feel pregnant. I'm so angry, why does this keep happening to me? I'm going to have pate and sushi and soft blue cheese and undercooked steak for lunch and then tonight I'm going to get absolutely off my face. Good luck to you all X

Kescilly · 07/11/2018 11:54

I’m so sorry, SpunBodgeSquarepants. I hope that you have some good support in your life and that we will see you on another bus in the future. Please take care.

Bigonesmallone3 · 07/11/2018 12:12

@SpunBodgeSquarepants I'm so sorry chicken..

I have a scan booked for Saturday il be 8+4 I'm so nervous 😭

toomanyflatwhites · 07/11/2018 12:22

Oh @SpunBodgeSquarepants I'm so so sorry lovely 😢

Fabuluce · 07/11/2018 12:34

Oh Spunbodge I'm so so terribly sorry to hear this. FWIW I'd do exactly the same from the crying to the food/booze. Be kind to yourself. Xx

mindthechaos · 07/11/2018 12:54

So sorry to hear that SpunBodge. Take care of yourself x

AnyaMumsnet · 07/11/2018 13:27

Hi there @pollykins151,

Would you mind if we moved this thread over to antenatal clubs? We think it'd be better suited there.

So sorry for your loss @SpunBodgeSquarepants Flowers - we hope you're OK.

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 13:39

So sorry @SpunBodgeSquarepants...I remember that feeling 3 months ago when it happened to me. Wine and time were what worked for me. Don't expect too much of yourself right now x

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 13:40

Now I've booked my early scan I'm worried that 3 in the first tri might be harmful.

I had one with the EPU 8+2, will have one private 10+2 and then 12 week dating scan 12+2.

Does that seem excessive? Suddenly panicking about the ultrasound rays!

fee1234 · 07/11/2018 14:12

@Heebyjeeby99 don't worry I've been assured a few times that it's not harmful. I read somewhere about a pregnant sonogram dr who would scan herself every other day and her baby was fine!

I had one at 5 weeks, then 6 weeks because 5 was too early, then had one last week, and I'll have my 12 week one in two weeks. And I'm so tempted to have one next week! I'm honestly a crazy scan lady. It doesn't help that the place is right beside my work so I walk past every day, and they are only £39. I say 'only' like it's cheap but I think it's cheaper than most places.

Heebyjeeby99 · 07/11/2018 14:20

@fee1234 blimey that is cheap! It's £70 in the place I've booked. Ok great, I'll stick with it for now and maybe just ask the sonographer to do a quick one! Although for £70 I'd quite like a good look....

coastergirl · 07/11/2018 14:41

@SpunBodgeSquarepants I'm so sorry to hear your news. I would do the same too (and did when I had a mc in August).

coastergirl · 07/11/2018 14:42

I had my scan at the EPU this morning. I should be 8 weeks today but I'm measuring bang on 6 weeks. All looks good though with a heartbeat. My dates were dodgy anyway. New due date of 3rd July but will probably have a c-section before that so I'll stick around here if that's ok.

Bigonesmallone3 · 07/11/2018 15:26

@fee1234
Iv only paid £39 for mine too, cheapest around I think..
it's in ashford

gossipgirl28 · 07/11/2018 15:35

Hi ladies,

Is anyone else completely bed bound by the constant nausea and exhaustion?
I'm 8 +5 today and for the last week I've barely been able to get out of bed. I feel severely hungover and nauseous in the night too. I've been sick a couple of times. I can't do anything.

There is no way I could be in work at the moment. Told my boss I was pregnant at the start of the week and asked my doctor for a sick note to excuse me from work. Doctor is signing me off on a week by week basis.

Is anyone else signed off work at the moment? Feel so so awful and hope this passes very soon xx
