Pebblespony · 20/11/2018 09:46

They know. They said it was just a friendly reminder.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 20/11/2018 10:22

A”friendly reminder” of what? Confused don’t let them guilt trip you! You’re pregnant and sick, there’s nothing you can do about it.

Pebblespony · 20/11/2018 13:09

My boss stood up for me and told HR to back off. I'm relieved. Got a scan appt for this afternoon.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 20/11/2018 13:22

That’s good, Pebblespony, though HR should know better! Hope the scan goes well this afternoon. Any more sign of bleeding?

inkworks273 · 20/11/2018 15:03

Has anyone had their flu jag done at a pharmacy? My gp holds a flu clinic once a month and you can't make an appointment. I figured it would be easier to just go to a pharmacy to get it done. I called to make an appointment but when I mentioned I was pregnant the girl said they advise you to go through the gp for that? I don't see what the difference is but she said something about licensing.

Pebblespony · 20/11/2018 15:05

Scan went ok. Thank God!!

inkworks273 · 20/11/2018 15:10

Glad to hear that @Pebblespony Hope you can relax and take it easy this evening Thanks

ZoeOutdoors · 20/11/2018 15:18

@inkworks273 my midwife said a similar thing that they can't give the whopping cough jab as they would get the funding for it whereas the gps would rather do it and have the funding.

I was able to have my flu jab at the hospital when I had my scan if you have one soon.

Lorrie3 · 20/11/2018 15:52

@inkworks273 I got the flu jab in my pharmacy no issues. I m in rep. Ireland though

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 20/11/2018 16:04

Brilliants news Pebblespony Smile

I don’t think there’s any difference in the jab administered, but it’s better to have it done at your GP surgery as then they get the money for it.

Potatoesplease · 20/11/2018 17:13

@Pebblespony I am glad to hear that the scan went well.

Pebblespony · 20/11/2018 17:50

Thanks for the support everyone!

inkworks273 · 20/11/2018 18:23

I called the gp and they have a flu clinic on Saturday so I'll go to that.

zoClueless · 20/11/2018 18:43

Haven't been active on here the last week but keeping up. Pleased the scan went well today @Pebblespony and that your boss has supported you with HR!

zoClueless · 20/11/2018 18:44

Meant to add that I had my flu jab at gp as I was invited into their clinic in Oct but my colleague who is pregnant got it done at Boots using the exemption card to get it for free

rosettesforjill · 20/11/2018 19:49

So glad that everything was ok at the scan @Pebblespony!

Shazafied · 21/11/2018 09:26

Woop, found you again. 16+1 for me today, second baby - I have an 11mo too. Due date is 7/5/19.

I hope everyone is well, sorry to read that some of you are still feeling sick , that sucks!

I had an additional scan yesterday due to being diagnosed with an SCH at 12 W scan. Delighted to say the couldn’t find the SCH, it has now reabsorbed. The last few weeks have been horrible worrying about it, hence going very quiet.

I also found out I’m having another girl (probably) - she seemed fairly sure but reminded me it was quite early and to ask again at 20w.

Has anyone else been having really dizzy spells? I’ve had a few episodes of being very very lightheaded and having to sit down (most recently on the ground in M&S) as otherwise I’d have fallen down. I have low BP as a rule and my MW has put this down to hypotensive episodes.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 22/11/2018 19:49

@Shazafied great news on your little girl! I had dizziness in my first pregnancy quiet a lot - I have lowish BP but midwife never seemed concerned. Havnt had it this time tho... maybe worth a call to doctor, just to be sure, if it’s so bad you have to sit on the floor.

Has any second time mums or third time mums on here started feeling movements yet? I’m 18+1 and can’t feel a bloody thing... with my 1st I was 16 weeks and with my 2nd I was 14 weeks. I mentioned to the MW and she wasn’t the least concerned. I just thought with this being dc3 I would feel baby 😢

Shazafied · 22/11/2018 20:46

Thanks @until, I’ll see if it happens again... it’s not happened for a couple of days. I started feeling kicks a few days ago but it’s totallu variable.... this is my second . Perhaps you have an anterior placenta or baby is just chilling / in a position where you don’t feel much xx

fadgadget · 22/11/2018 22:34

Hi all, just checking in. Still following along.

I’ve heard dizziness is quite common, but worth getting checked if you are worried.

I had my next midwife appointment today and got to listen to the heartbeat which was quite a relief. She could hear the baby moving loads on the doppler but I couldn’t feel a thing. I’ve felt some small movements in the last week or so but clearly it’s doing somersaults in there and it’s just not all that noticeable yet to me.

Hope everyone is doing well x

earlybirdhasanap · 23/11/2018 12:33

Please tell me I'm not the only one that's really constipated Blush. I've never been in my life before and I'm miserable.

Shazafied · 23/11/2018 12:42

@earlybird I am ! I’ve been taking lactulose in the evenings which helps. Midwife said it was fine x

earlybirdhasanap · 23/11/2018 12:50

@Shazafied I've just taken some.

purplestar9 · 23/11/2018 13:09

Hello, thought I'd check in, I've been silently following.
I'm 17 weeks today :) I've not had any feelings that I think are definitely baby, just a few little bubbly feelings (but this could be wind!) but this is my first so could still take a few weeks before I feel much.
I've been feeling pretty normal for a few weeks now which I am so grateful for, growing belly which is always a good sign but I do still get days when I have fairly bad trapped wind. 3 weeks till my 20 week scan :)
How is everyone?

inkworks273 · 23/11/2018 13:30

I'm 15 weeks today. Still feeling sick most of the time but I would definitely say it's an improvement from a few weeks ago. I just wish I could get rid of the sour feeling in my stomach. Sometimes it feels like it just sits there in my stomach until I finally just make myself sick to get rid of it.

I'm still pretty tired but I think that's probably mostly down to my terrible diet. I have no motivation and barely leave the house.

I have a bit of a bump now but not anything noticeable.

I just want to feel normal again.
