Welcome @bellaclava

Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope all goes well Smile

Beckyv88 · 18/11/2018 16:22

Anyone told people yet? Yesterday we told our parents. It was funny because my aunt in law commented that I looked like I’d gained weight right before we told them (great, thanks). Then told me afterwards that I should eat more. Family, lol.

For my parents it’s the first grandchild so they were super happy and surprised.

How about everyone else?

Potatoesplease · 18/11/2018 16:43

@inkworks273 Do you know what the call was about yet?

@Beckyv88 Yes, we have told family and close friends now.

inkworks273 · 18/11/2018 16:57

@Potatoesplease

Yes, the last 3 urine samples I've handed into the gp have had traces of blood in them. He referred me to the hospital and they were calling to get me in for a cystoscopy (camera in the bladder). I explained to the girl on the phone that I was pregnant so not sure if I'll be able to have the procedure. She said she would have to find out and get back to me.

Honestly it's just one thing after another 🤦🏻‍♀️

Firstbornunicorn · 18/11/2018 17:27

@inkworks273 if you need to be off, you need to be off! I don't think you'd get much work done, anyway. I know I certainly would have been useless. I'm going to go in tomorrow... Fingers crossed I'll get through the day!

lifechanginglemoncake · 18/11/2018 19:01

Hi @bellaclava I've got my scan tomorrow too. Really nervous but DH is just excited so hoping that will rub off on me! Good luck and hope it goes well for you.

MrsReader · 18/11/2018 19:10

I have my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow. Hope I can hear the heartbeat!

Does anyone know if they let you listen to the heartbeat at the 20 week scan as well?

Pebblespony · 18/11/2018 22:45

Damn, just went to the toilet there and had pink mucous. Thought this was behind me at 14 weeks. Pretty worried now.

CatflapFlapjack · 19/11/2018 07:19

Sorry to hear a lot of you are still feeling so ill. My sickness was at its worst at the end of the first trimester but I felt a lot better by 15 weeks. Still need to be in bed by 9pm every night though!

I started feeling some movements this week (15w) too which has been nice - this is my second so I can feel it much earlier this time (last time I don’t think I felt anything until 19/20 weeks).

CatflapFlapjack · 19/11/2018 07:21

Hope everything’s ok @pebblespony - have you had any more since?

Potatoesplease · 19/11/2018 07:41

@inkworks273 I'm sorry to hear that. Hope that you will be ok.

Potatoesplease · 19/11/2018 07:43

@pebblespony How are you doing now? Will you contact your mw?

Pebblespony · 19/11/2018 09:07

Had a lot more this morning. I'm in the emergency unit now waiting to be seen.

HalfBloodPrincess · 19/11/2018 09:14

Oh @pebblespony how worrying. Do you have someone with you?

Hope everything is ok

Pebblespony · 19/11/2018 09:20

I'm here on my own. DH is at work. It's not too bad though.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 19/11/2018 09:20

Pebblespony sorry to hear that, it’s very worrying. I hope they find it’s nothing to worry about Flowers

Welcome bellaclava, good luck with the scan today.

ZoeOutdoors · 19/11/2018 12:34

Thinking of you @pebblespony Flowers

inkworks273 · 19/11/2018 12:36

@Pebblespony Hope everything is ok Thanks

Pebblespony · 19/11/2018 13:08

Well, I got seen by a doctor who told me to come back for a scan later. They then rang me to cancel the scan. I'll probably get one on Wednesday. It's a bit of a mess.

SurfingOwl · 19/11/2018 14:31

How worrying @Pebblespony and I hope you can get a scan tomorrow if not Wednesday.

Firstbornunicorn · 19/11/2018 17:25

Oh no @pebblespony. Is a private scan an option? You might be able to get one this evening?

Pebblespony · 19/11/2018 18:36

Private scan not really an option. I'll just have to sit tight. I feel pretty good though.

Pebblespony · 19/11/2018 20:05

Work have called me in for a meeting tomorrow. Presumably to talk about absenteeism. I'm bricking it!

dreaminofholidays · 19/11/2018 22:00

@pebblespony have you had your scan confirmed?

Have you been off work for long? At the end of the day when you are sick you're sick, you can't work xxx

SurfingOwl · 19/11/2018 22:06

@Pebblespony do they know you are pregnant? Pregnancy related sickness cannot legally used for any kind of disciplinary action. If they don’t know you are pregnant, tell them straightaway because you are covered from the moment they know.
