I'd love to jump ahead. Really not enjoying being pregnant. I was the same last time. Hopefully I'll relax a bit after the scan and the harmony test but I remember last time I was stressed out the whole time. Definitely not going for no. 3 after this.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 13/11/2018 16:35

Glad the scan went well, inkworks273.

inkworks273 · 13/11/2018 16:53

Can't believe how clear the scan is. Hard to believe baby is still so tiny in there.

Just had my scan too and all was well! So amazing to see the little baby in there wriggling around. They dated me at 12+1 so a bit less than I thought.

Beckyv88 · 13/11/2018 16:59

@inkworks273 congrats!

inkworks273 · 13/11/2018 17:03

Congrats to you too @Beckyv88!

ZoeOutdoors · 13/11/2018 18:34

I haven't been sick for a week, I love the second trimester! Hope everyone is keeping well.

purplestar9 · 13/11/2018 19:22

@zoClueless yeh I'm gonna be 15+5 tomorrow, I did have it booked for next week but she asked me to bring it forward so I did!

@inkworks273 lovely scan photo :)

Did anyone else in their scan have the technician really jab at their stomach with the scanner thing? She wanted to get the baby to move but she really went for it!

SurfingOwl · 13/11/2018 20:53

My baby was so uncooperative that my 12 week scan was internal @Beckyv88 and she still kept jabbing at the baby to encourage movement! It was really quite uncomfortable.

Beckyv88 · 13/11/2018 20:56

@surfingowl OK that sounds worse! Ouch :/ but you got to see the baby in the end right?

SurfingOwl · 13/11/2018 21:05

Yes and all was ok.

inkworks273 · 13/11/2018 22:16

I think I must have been lucky as baby was lying straight across so they managed to see everything quite easily.

SurfingOwl · 13/11/2018 22:39

My baby is transverse as well, so hope it moves into a better position, but the problem is that my uterus is retroverted so it’s always difficult for me to have scans in the first three or so months.

purplestar9 · 14/11/2018 13:25

I was quite lucky too, baby was in the perfect position at my scan.
I had my 16 week midwife appointment today, had all my test results back and heard the heartbeat! Was so lovely, and DH was on a day off so he came with me, glad he got to hear it too!

I had my scan today. Everything looked great. Dates bang on, plenty of movement etc. Very relieved and happy.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 14/11/2018 19:40

Glad to hear everyone’s scans and MW appointments are going well Smile

How is everyone feeling?

L0kiWh0 · 14/11/2018 19:57

Can we talk poo?
I don’t know what the hell is going on Confused

I’m not constipated- I just don’t feel like I need to go at all for days, then all of a sudden I’ll need to go, and I’ll need to go NOW! It’s so urgent I have to run. Not Diarrhoea, just normal poo.

I’m eating like a horse but can easily go 4 days without poohing.

12+6

inkworks273 · 14/11/2018 19:57

I'd say I've had a slight improvement in morning sickness. Still feel sick most of the time though.

I also have very little energy. I'm 13+5 so hoping for an improvement in symptoms soon.

I can't wait to be able to eat normally again. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a nice meal.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 15/11/2018 07:23

I think they’re all signs of constipation, even if you don’t feel “bunged up”, L0ki. You can take something like Fybogel which keeps things moving along without being absorbed by your body. I’m similar, should follow my own advice!

Potatoesplease · 15/11/2018 13:23

@Inkworks273 Great scan photo. When are you due?

I had my scan last week. I am 14+1 now, surprised by how quickly it's going. I have been putting off buying maternity clothes, but at work yest I realised just how tight my trousers are getting.

@Purplestar9 Did you manage to find some nice mat clothes online? I am gutted that almost no real-life shops do maternity anymore. 😕 I hate buying clothes online.

purplestar9 · 15/11/2018 13:36

@Potatoesplease I have bought a couple of things from amazon and eBay. Found some lovely maternity leggings, they're fleece lined so warmer than normal ones and they were only a fiver! I really want to find some long jumpers to wear over leggings, I'm struggling on that front, everything is just so expensive!

inkworks273 · 15/11/2018 14:38

Thanks @Potatoesplease! My due date is the 17th of May.

I'm 13+6 today and not showing at all. Also due to the morning sickness I've actually lost weight I think so I haven't had to look for maternity clothes just yet.

inkworks273 · 15/11/2018 15:59

Aargh! Missed a call from the NHS switchboard number. Can't call it back so no way of finding out who called or why.

Of course now I'm worrying it has something to do with the screening tests we had done on Tuesday.

Firstbornunicorn · 15/11/2018 16:02

@inkworks273 my weight has been up and down a bit but belly is definitely there
