Just in case we get locked out without realising!

Bumper - if you are going to Benefit counter have you tried their High Beam - its fab for a bit of a glow.

Annobal, I'm now thinking perhaps this baby could stay in ... at least until the holidays start!

annobal · 18/06/2007 12:55

Am thinking that wouldn't be too bad an idea...

westcoaster · 18/06/2007 13:01

Hi there

Just to let you know that Baby WC was born at 3.02am on Saturday morning. Me & LO are healthy & happy and glad to be back home!

Hope all you girls still hanging in there are doing OK & not too uncomfortable. Will think cervix softening thoughts for you....

foxybrown · 18/06/2007 13:05

Congratulations Westcoaster! That's fantastic - thought you were a bit quiet!

So, what did you have? Time? Weight? All the (gory) details please!! xx

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 18/06/2007 13:11

Back from the supermarket.....

Congrats WC!

annobal · 18/06/2007 13:12

Congratulations Westcoaster. That's great news. How was the birth?

annobal · 18/06/2007 13:13

...and name!

westcoaster · 18/06/2007 13:15

Bloody hell - sorry!!!

Baby WC is a little girl (as yet unnamed ). 8lbs 1/2oz born naturally with G & A - although not for want of begging on my part for 'more fecking pain relief' by which time it was too late. So far, so good - no stitches & feeling so much better than when I was pg. Was admitted on Friday having spent most of day crying with very severe headache (had had one for about 5 wks continuously at that stage). GP gave me codeine which I threw up all over the house & then came over all unnecessary. We went down to the hosp at about 9pm & consultant wanted to put me straight on to pethidine for headache as bp starting to rocket. Asked to start on G & A & see if they could kick off labour instead. Lovely MW supported me & was brilliant throughout. They broke my waters at 11pm & other than a bit of grief from the synto later on, all went fine.

foxybrown · 18/06/2007 13:17

That's a great birth - well done you!

westcoaster · 18/06/2007 13:21

Best bit is knowing I'll never do it again!! (And that my James Herriott fanjo managed to hold itself together throughout!! )

hollyandalice · 18/06/2007 13:22

Well done WC!! Glad everything is well! Do you have a shortlist of names?

riabutterflew · 18/06/2007 13:47

Well done WC, many congratulations.

So, how many of us are left?

DH took me to Tesco (again). He seems to think buying food will start omething...

My pelvic area & hips feel like I've been riding a bike. It's too uncomfortable now. I walk like a hippo with its feet tied together.

At least the sun is shining...

annobal · 18/06/2007 13:51

Well done! I'm glad you are feeling much better as well.

foxybrown · 18/06/2007 13:58

LOL at the hippo Ria!

mumof4aceboys · 18/06/2007 14:18

Been watching and you all seem so happy which is nice. I feel a bit sad really as ive just taken my nursery curtains down and posted them to an ebayer. Bob the Builder has taken over both babies bedrooms now. Sometimes wish I was having more babies! Then again listening to all your hippo comments brings it all back and makes me think again.

annobal · 18/06/2007 14:19

Talking of camp DHs as we were last night, DH wants a man-bag. Is this stylish or should DH be looking for a change of career (into musicals that is...)

annobal · 18/06/2007 14:21

Hi Mumof4. I know what you mean - there's nothing quite like a newborn baby (tiny little fingers and toes) - but then I would say that

mumof4aceboys · 18/06/2007 14:47

annobel - ur DH could start a career as a paperboy?

doggus · 18/06/2007 14:51

Well done westcoaster - it is good to hear you feel much better than when you were pg: one of my fears is that I will continue to feel absolutely shite! And I love your expression 'came over all unecessary', it's years since I heard that - are you a northerner like me?

I have a fabulous mix of apathy, constipation and heartburn today - as well as the ususal grumpiness. I have brown discharge again though I don't think it means anything, probably an overflow of bad mood through my fanj.

mumof4aceboys · 18/06/2007 14:58

Hi doggus - im a northerner. Your brown discharge sounds good for you. Think we should run an online bookies for who's gonna pop 1st!

mumof4aceboys · 18/06/2007 15:08

DKMW you out there? how you feeling after the sweep earlier?

doggus · 18/06/2007 15:12

Hi mumof4 - what does brown discharge mean? Just that things are happening generally?

I'm originally from North Lincs, but moved down south 20 years ago - whereabouts are you?

mumof4aceboys · 18/06/2007 15:15

Hi doggus - the brown discharge is probably ur plug coming away slowly. For me this has been the 1st sign just before my waters go. Have you had a sweep?

Im Doncaster way. Quite close to Bawtry if you know where that is?

doggus · 18/06/2007 15:18

No, no sweep, and contrary to everyone else I am a week or so early. I didn't know the plug could come away in bits, ooh err.

I'm from sunny Scunny, which is possibly the least glamorous place to have lived on the planet. Going to Doncaster was a huge treat for me - the Arndale Centre was nirvana. I have been to Bawtry a couple of times, isn't there an RAF connection?

mumof4aceboys · 18/06/2007 15:27

Hi Doggus - ur plug isnt like a jelly cork! Its should be like the start of a period. Sometimes you get stringy bits in it? All Ok as long as you dont get bright red blood.

Arndale - crikey that guin back a bit int it? How old r u! Can you remember them bronze figues under the fountain?! Its now The Frenchgate Centre and is very new millennium!

Only been to Sunny Scunny once. Went to the banger car racing near the sugar factory? Hubby's grandad was from there though. He was an Italian icecream van man - Mazarellas?

Bawtry used to have a RAF base yes. Its now Robin Hood International Airport.

Back to your mucus - try sitting on a birthin ball if u av 1? If not keep upright to help the head come down etc. Keep smiling
