Just in case we get locked out without realising!

Thanks foxy, your approval makes me feel smug!

Now must practise what I preach and go and be a good parent and clean my alien-invaders before bedtime. (Luckily DH popped home for 5 minutes to see them this morning at breakfast so they have seen daddy on fathers day and I don't have to let them wait up to see him and do gifts etc.)

Back later (so long as there is no thunder or power cut...)

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 19:53

Ria, my theory is we pick on one thing and focus on it. Mine is how the hell am I going to do school run in the morning.

I know it'll come good, but when I think about having another baby - that's my worry! It is a bit mad.

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 19:54

you...DH has put him to bed, Em is fed and sleeping, and I'm on here with my full caffeine diet coke and some fruit drops!

No alcohol though. One of the anti-biotics says absolutely no alcohol. I was tempted by some at teatime, but didn't. Good jb; apparently its this particular AB that they give to alcoholics and makes them very very ill if they do succumb to a drink....phew.

lost another 2lbs in weight as well.....that's a stone now

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 19:55

Ria, I am actually pretty convinced the stress is what has stopped me so far.

Stress does funny things to me. Hopefully I am as chilled out and cheerful as I think I am and will spontaneously explode with happy healthy child in the night.

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 19:55

that should say Yes and not you...lol this headache is doing strange things to me!

bumperlicious · 17/06/2007 19:56

Think mine is financial, and worrying about my career nad DH's lack of one - both linked to the finance thing I guess.

TA I'm so glad you are feeling better, you are doing a great job under the circumstances!

Thanks Bumper
Let's just say I have found the experience a little 'testing'

Mum is coming up from Essex to see me tomorrow which will be nice though, takes my mind off things.

riabutterflew · 17/06/2007 20:02

I could start a whole multi-point list! I AM A WORRIER, it's what I do best (even better than cleaning).

Bedtimex

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:05

can i ask a question

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 20:06

go on

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:08

don't have one, I was just feeling a bit ignored

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 20:08

awwww, daisy!!

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 20:10

lack of alcohol, flurry of hormones, no painkillers ... stop being mad! We aren't ignoring you!

I only didn't say well done on your 2 pound loss because I am bitter, jealous and very, very !!!!

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 20:10

I am ignoring you because I am insanely jealous of your weight loss.

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:11

feeling a bit crap this evening......difficult day with DS, bad bad headache, sore tummy, tingly nips (could it be thrush from the ABs....already??)

and i want to go te bed and sleep for seven hours straight, but ha!....fat farking chance!

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:13

I think the weight loss is purely down to being awake for 21 hours a day....stands to reason it uses more calories than being awake for only 16 hours a day!

It will come to all of you soon enough

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 20:15

in that case Daisy you are being completely normal!

Adrenaline from after giving birth worn off - check
sleep deprivation setting in - check
worries about breastfeeding - check
hormones changing from lovely fluff to stinky-nasty - check
First-born acting very normally - check
ability to deal with anything except cleaning your teeth diminished - check

Yep, you are perfectly normal. You need to do something nice. Is DH there? Will a cuddle and a cry help?

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:15

I'm off to take my misery elsewher and leave you all hopefullty optimistic of babies arriving in the night! I might lurk for news of Pingu though!

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 20:16

It could be thrush already but I hope not
I usually get it within a day or so of starting AB's

Sorry to hear you are low Daisy, I think it's easy for us (well me at any rate) to forget that you are probably tired and in pain and uncomfortable and struggling to cope, because I can get so wrapped up in my own issues and stresses.
Plus you always seem so perky and cheerful!

Can you take codiene for the headache or are you off that now?

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 20:18

Come back Daisy!! Don't you dare slope off to the PN Thread!

Cup of horlicks and a foot-rub perhaps?

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:19

I've still got some codeine left, but as I think it's due to codeine withdrawal...not sure its a great idea .

TA my cheerful optimism is part of my ongoing plan to not let the world know that deep down I am a miserable, insecure wreck who stresses about every aspect of my life......sometmes however, the mask slips

Talk to you all tomorrow....have a good evening

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 20:20

Night Daisy

bumperlicious · 17/06/2007 20:21

Daisy you are doing really well. For me the longer I'm awake the more food I have to fit into the day! Hence why I had had 2 bowls of coco pops by 5am!

OP posts:
daisyboo · 17/06/2007 20:21

fat chance foxy....I'd be talking to myself, LOL.

Right, it is time to ignore me, or I'll never get off!
