i ate my tea at 4:30....and I'm starving again! wanted a takeaway, but alas no money....oooh there's always DSs birthday money

I'd love a glass of wine, but trickcyclist said No.....and can't anyway on these anti-biotics....apparently it will make me very ill!

annobal · 22/06/2007 19:03

JBM, that sounds very healthy (and yummy)!

justbeme · 22/06/2007 19:04

It doesnt feel very yummy now though - sick emotion!!

hollyandalice · 22/06/2007 19:04

What is a trickcyclist daisy? Is it a medical person? Have a bowl of cereal or some toast. After all you need 500 extras calories if you are bfing!! Brilliant!

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 19:06

LOL Daisy! How many times have I raided money-boxes?! Am so glad its not just me!

Still owe £15 after a night at the pub, but can't remember to which one.

annobal · 22/06/2007 19:07

daisy, re wine that is...

Gave up on Hollyoaks about a year ago as I got sick of the Mandy/Tony thing. The whole cast has probably turned over by now...

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 19:08

Hollyoaks? That programme with glamorous, flat-stomached 20-somethings looking pretty with immaculate hair all having a good time?

No. I don't watch it.

hollyandalice · 22/06/2007 19:11

It's the only soap, apart from neighbours, that I watch! There has been an attempted murder, it's all very exciting, in a Hollyoaks, cheesey type way!

annobal · 22/06/2007 19:12

Have also had to give up Neighbours since DS2 gave up his daytime nap. Looking forward to Sept when he is going to nursery

daisyboo · 22/06/2007 19:13

trickcyclist = psychiatrist

I owe DS tons, but then the amount of stuff I've bought him cos he didn't have his purse with him....I'm sure he's still up on the deal. He got £80 for his birthday....and loads of presents

daisyboo · 22/06/2007 19:15

i only watch eastenders....keeps me focussed on the fact that it's grim down south as well! gave up on hollyoaks years ago...last big story i remember was the mandy/incest one.

annobal · 22/06/2007 19:20

Right then, I'm off for a walk - all this talk of wine and icecream (or was that just me ).

bumperlicious · 22/06/2007 20:33

Shit shit shit. We were doing so well, and 5pm hit 3 days to the dot now BAM! I'm a wreck. Not can't sleep, even when she does, and thought I'd been feeding properly but haven't. Nipples fucking sore and just don't know what I am doing wrong. My arms just ache from funny labour position, I just don't seem to have physically recovered from it yet, but then have had probably a total of 5 hours sleep since before labour. Help, any bfing tips? Even though she has not been latching properly, she has been feeding, so that not a problem, just fucking hurts, and nipples wedge shaped, which I know is worng.

Sorry, I know I should go on post natal, but I know some of you will be here.

Bumper the first few bfing days are shit. I nearly gave up so many times, I would dread dd needing to be fed because of the pain. I found that the only way I could feed her was to use these. You put them over your nipple and they honestly stop the pain almost straight away. HVs and MWs don't really recommend them as they can restrict milk supply, but they didn't with me.

Fuck, I think my waters just broke!

hollyandalice · 22/06/2007 20:45

IS ANYONE THERE?!

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 20:49

Shh, its OK. Don't fall apart! Its OK. LO is feeding and sleeping, so that is perfect.

Even if you aren't sleeping, sit quietly, rug over you and chill. Don't panic about not sleeping, you know you need to but if you try to force it, it won't come. So relax - 3,2,1

With BF, everytime I have done it, it has hurt, teeth-grittingly "Oh My Fucking Hell" bad during the first few sucks. Daisy is probably best on this one! I've struggled with latching on, so probably best I pass on this.

But, the way I hold the baby - I've never cracked holding their heads in the crook of my arm - I hold their head in my right hand to my left breast, so their body lies straight (helps with wind as their tummies aren't bent) and my elbow is basically holding the bottom in between the legs. Does that make any sense?

Hang on in their honey xx

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 20:50

HOLLLLLYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

annobal · 22/06/2007 20:52

Oh Bumper! Don't worry, relax, it will be okay.

Okay, top bf tip I learned was to line the bottom of nip and sort of flip the whole nip into mouth as baby latches on. The aim is to get the whole nipple in the baby's mouth, rather than just the top bit. Don't know if this makes sense - sorry!

It does get much easier. Hopefully Daisy will be here soon to help.

annobal · 22/06/2007 20:52

Shit, Holly! Wow!

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 20:53

Where'd she go????

annobal · 22/06/2007 20:54

If it was me, the bathroom! Is she having a hb? I can't remember...

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 20:56

Yes, she's inflating her birthpool then!!

foxybrown · 22/06/2007 20:57

Or starting a Live Waters Breaking on MN thread!

Oh how exciting!

hollyandalice · 22/06/2007 20:58

I'm here, leaking all over the fucking place! Dp is trying to pump the pool up! I'm pretty much shitting myself now!

bumperlicious · 22/06/2007 20:59

Thanks for the support guys, just need to know it will be ok eventually. Pingu, if you are still around, I was glad to read your post and see it wasn't just me! But I hope you feel better soon too.

Good luck to Holly! Wow, she does things in style!
