Phew....and the award for longest labour in the history of the world goes to.....

Well Done TA....you are a credit to womankind! Congratulations to you and your hubby and welcome, at long last, to Sullivan!!

daisyboo · 21/06/2007 20:35

Hi Foxy...how were the ponies...did you win anything?

Didn't catch the TV at lunchtime, so don't know of you were on or not!

Holly....how's the bump? still tightening?

So who's left then?

foxybrown · 21/06/2007 20:38

Ponies were great! Had a lovely day, one second (kicking myself for not putting it on each way ) and a winner, so happy.

Bit strange not seeing any children from drop off to bedtime. And they were at different places ...but delighted to see them. And even more delighted now they are in bed.

Had a lot of pelvic pains and tightenings. I think I made everyone around me quite nervous!

lulumama · 21/06/2007 20:47

well done TA, welcome to Sullivan...delighted to hear of his safe arrival.....well done for keeping strong xxxxxx

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 21/06/2007 20:49

I'm Back!!

Well done TA - Phewie - I bet she's glad thats behind her now!!

Glad you had a nice day Foxy!

Well after having no movement all day from my LO - as soon as the midwife got near him with the monitor - he started jumping about - so I felt like a total tit! Making a big fuss about nothing!
Anyhow - it's nice to know everything is ok.

Hiya Bumper - if you're lurking - glad you're back home and doing well!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/06/2007 20:52

Hey everyone. Got no chance at all of catchng up on what I've missed but just checked out the stats & babies arriving at great pace now. Congrats to everyone who has given birth, and good luck to those still waiting.

WOOHOO to TA Am so pleased has happened for you at last. Will need to read back to catch up on all birth announcements but really hope you got the labour & birth you wanted. Go girl!

foxybrown · 21/06/2007 20:54

DKMA - I did that, got my sis round to babysit, all panicky, hauled myself down to the hospital early one sunday morning, saw the MW promptly burst into tears and sobbed. As soon as I lay down, she started Olympic Gymnastics!

I thought she was coming out today unbelievably huge BHs!! Would've been funny

hollyandalice · 21/06/2007 20:54

Evening everyone! I've been lonely all day, very quiet on here!

So happy for TA, glad she has her little man at last!

Still having tightenings practically all the time. No pain at all, but I can barely move or breathe, it's really pissing me off. I've got loads to do, but I've done nothing all day!

foxybrown · 21/06/2007 20:55

Oooh, welcome back Tallulahbelle! How are you doing?!

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/06/2007 20:57

Doing OK. Glad to be home from hosp.Am knacked, baby feeding constantly, nips about to drop off & sleep deprivation sending me barmy, but aside from that everything rosy

derlor · 21/06/2007 20:58

congrats ta, you made us proud. mbe should be with you soon!
laptop fucked again so typing this via dh ps3.
taking ages so will just lurk till laptop working again
unless foxy has her baby then i'll obviously tell you all immediately

foxybrown · 21/06/2007 21:01

That sounds fairly normal then Tallulahbelle! Are you feeling OK yourself, or like you've been run over by a truck whilst hormones rampage around every bodily cell?

How are you Derlor? Thrush clearing up? Feeling any better?

Don't worry about when I go into labour, I fully intend to spend an hour or two with a live birth thread, then waters break and pop her out. I'll be back on line then !!!

I am sooooo kidding myself

foxybrown · 21/06/2007 21:13

Derlor, I'll keep you updated on any births!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/06/2007 21:23

If I go and feed my screaming daughter now whilst drinking a glass of red wine (to dull the nip pain, so purely medicinal) - does it make me a bad mother?

foxybrown · 21/06/2007 21:27

Nope.

Hitting the cooking sherry at 9am makes you a bad mother. I try to wait until 11am for that.

OK, I'm kidding.

I usually make it to 10.30

daisyboo · 21/06/2007 22:02

Hi Tallulah...sounds like things are going par for the course with a new born! Mine has slept all day so no doubt I'm in for a bad night.

DH going to Scotland to fetch my Mum down for a few days and DS is going to his grandma's....so it'll be just me and bub tomorrow evening. Looking forward to the peace and quiet.....well apart from the squaking baby that is!

justbeme · 21/06/2007 22:05

Hi Daisy - Glad your mums coming - long journey though for her isnt it?
Hope she doesnt wind you up too much.
How are you feeling about her coming now? and how are you feeling generaly?

hollyandalice · 21/06/2007 22:40

That's lovely your mum is coming daisy! It'll be good for her to meet emily, hopefully it'll perk her up a bit. x

Why is it at 5.00 I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open and now it is time for bed I am wide awake? The mysteries of pregnancy!

bumperlicious · 22/06/2007 00:19

Thank goodness TA finally had her baby. Huge well done to the most tenacious mum!

Just woken from 1st sleep since labour (too wired with adrenalin and snoring mum kept me awake last night). Feel like I've been hit by a f*cking truck. Ache from top to toe and v sore nips! Listen to me whinging already! Mr Bumper is fantastic though. We are getting there

OP posts:
riabutterflew · 22/06/2007 02:08

Know how you feel bumper, amazing the muscles you use... i HAVE been hit by a fucking big truck of negative hormones and am not in bed asleep as I should be because I need to sit and look at my baby and cry (and I'm going to cuddle him soon too). Bet the milk will be in tomorrow and then the fun will really start.

Big congratulations to bumper, pingu & TA, and good luck to the rest. Hang in there holly, won't be long I'm sure (I had tight-bump for the last two weeks.)

Just want to shout ARSE before I go.

P.S. Apart from the hormone thing it is bloody marvellous not to be PG any more! (Although the HB continued throughout labour and for the first 24 hrs!)

Will try to find the PN thread tomorrow if I'm a bit jollier.

daisyboo · 22/06/2007 09:19

It's all gone quiet over here....are you all having babies or something?

hollyandalice · 22/06/2007 09:19

No !

daisyboo · 22/06/2007 09:28

sorry to hear that holly.....it'll happen!

how long before the home birth option runs out?

justbeme · 22/06/2007 09:28

No! Just taken dog for walk - had to get up early 'cos plumber here again to try and move the bathroom along - good job i didnt have a CS as wouldve had the baby by now with no upstairs bathroom!!

(sorry Holly its what u get used to!)

Any 1 got any nice plans for today? Im debating whether to accept an invitation to a bumps and babies group this afternoon. Might put me off though......

hollyandalice · 22/06/2007 09:35

I've got a while yet daisy, 8-10 days or so. I'm trying to think positive atm, but it's getting more difficult every day. I want to go out and show off my little baby!! When is your mum arriving? Hope you are feeling ok.

JBM, go to bumps and babies, you can cuddle some LOs and it'll make you feel all warm and squishy!
