Just in case we get locked out without realising!

OP posts:

foxybrown · 19/06/2007 21:51

Shit TA! are you 16 days over ! You are doing amazingly well.

Perhaps at 10.26 pm tonight we can all focus on our pc's and visualise en masse your cervix opening like a flower?

Well, SOMETHINGS gotta help!

trendaverter · 19/06/2007 21:57

LOL Thanks Foxy!

Yes 16 days over and I am not kidding, if I knew that physically it would be this tough only just a few days over I would have agreed to the induction on sunday!

I can hardly move, I feel like a massive Queen Bee in a cave

Can't sleep, so hot, can't move, constant HB... I had all these things to a small extent but every day now it gets twice as hard!
But I am holding up ok, feel ok all things considered. How about you, you are getting a few days over yourself now aren't you?

LO will be ready for school by the time it comes out.

lulumama · 19/06/2007 21:57

just got in from a 26 hour marathon ! need to sleeeeeeepp.zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

could be a leak, call labour ward if things seem to progress, and watch for a temperatere or feeling unwell

lots of birthy vibes xxxxxx

foxybrown · 19/06/2007 21:58

I'm off to my bed.

TA, seriously, I hope this is the start of things for you. Good luck tomorrow morning at your check up. xx

Night everyone xx

trendaverter · 19/06/2007 21:59

Night Foxy xx

I am off myself soon, ready to pass out. Thanks for the advice lulu, seems I don't need to panic - go to bed!

Nite all xxx

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 22:00

I'm here, dp has nicked the laptop and I am feeling too uncomfortable today to sit at the pc! I am a bit mucousy, when I had a bath there were bits floating in it!! Gosh, aren't I sexy?

Derlor, hope the thrush clears up soon. I've never had it (touch wood), so I can't sympathise, but it sounds awful! Bfing is hard enough without that on top as well!

TA, hope the leaking is a good sign! Maybe you will get a full on gush tonight!

Hope everyone else is well!

derlor · 19/06/2007 22:02

right chicks, sorry for the flying visit but it's bed/feeding/teeth gritting time - i'll try to pop back soon - night all x

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 22:04

I come back on and everyone else buggers off!

Have a good sleep all! xxx

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 22:07

eeeeeewwwwww holly.....

do you think you're getting close?

This is all a bit exciting for a big lily livered coward like me!

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 22:10

I don't really know daisy. Because I was induced last time I don't really know what I'm looking out for! I feel really odd and tired and can't stop drinking, so maybe it'll happen soon. Or maybe not. I really have no faith in myself to do this without some prompting! I shall be here at 16 days over too!

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 22:10

everyone has gone......hopefully there'll be news from Ria and Pingu tomorrow, and TA will be on her way to the delivery suite!

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 22:12

oh, you're still there.

quick question for you re BF......I can't get enough sugar at the moment...sweets/pastilles/crunchy nut cornflakes....cant stop stuffing my face with it all.

oh, and I got my ankles and feet back today

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 22:13

meant to ask is that normal?

we're having a huge thinderstorm at the moment...it really is quite spectacular

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 22:16

We had that storm a few hours ago! It was fab!

I had the sugar thing daisy. I didn't have the raging thirst, like everyone else seems to have, I just craved sugar and salt. I ate loads of fruit and sweets and crisps. Breastmilk is really sweet, so maybe it is your body trying to replace the sugar your baby is sucking from you!

Glad your feet and ankles are back! Mine feel like someone is squeezing them really hard and they have gone all puffy! I think it might be the weather!

sputnik · 19/06/2007 22:19

You lot all gone to bed then?
I just finished my muesli dinner having fed DD and put her to bed single handed while simultaneously bf-ing Baby Sputnik for 2 hours constantly, with maybe a couple of 20 min pauses.
My admiration for single parents has skyrocketed.

Now I have to go and wrestle with the sofabed as trying to keep the baby away from DH and whatever disease he has (whoops better check he's still alive, come to think of it).

TA, sounds like things are happening for you, but then I said that 10 days or so ago, didn't I? If you are leaking and your levels are low anyway perhaps they'll induce you right away.

sputnik · 19/06/2007 22:21

I've been at the fruit too. Made risotto but didn't fancy it by the time I had time to eat it, 2 hours later.

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 22:22

Hope your dh is still alive sputnik! Does he have man flu, the poor baby?! Glad you and lo are ok, but how shit that you are doing it on your own! Hope dh is better soon and you can have a rest!

sputnik · 19/06/2007 22:28

Just checked and he's still moving. He does have a really high temperature. Sure there's an element of man flu there though

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 22:28

I'm off to bed now, my dp is hovering over the laptop and it is pissing me off!

Hope everyone has a good night xx

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 22:33

sputnik...kick him out of bed and get him helping you....this is your time to rest up and be looked after! take it easy....you need your energy for bf at the mo!

he's not been eating your MIL's rice has he?

Klaw · 19/06/2007 22:36

I take it baby is still very happy and wriggling as much as it can in that confined space?

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 22:43

klaw...ta has gone off to bed, and is in for monitoring in the morning......check back tomorrow!

Klaw · 19/06/2007 23:33

Thanks Daisy, I've been very hectic online tonight and have had two enquiries for Doula work so am well happy! So have not been keeping up here very well!

Still have to get back to you re the induction question you posed a few days back, have been trying to find the info I had but can't and everythign else I googles comes back with an improvement in stillbirth rates. Somethign we can discuss at length i think as I also believe that it depends on how you look at it. Will catch up with you soon on this

trendaverter · 20/06/2007 05:15

Anyone about this morning?

Can't sleep. Still leaking, big pains but over 10 minutes apart. I tend to ignore them now, I have had so many falsies!

trendaverter · 20/06/2007 05:22

Looks like I am on my own then
