justbeme · 19/06/2007 10:20

Morning all!!
Sounds like it might be an exciting day here!!
Have just decided I should do something about my "lady garden" - has any one else tried to immac down there? Its like a military exercise! And also a bit of a shock to see .....my suspicions are confirmed - thought I had a little "grape" (TMI!). So currently am standing up typing in my nightie as i dont want to smudge it all too much!! Good job there isnt "smell o vision " on here - Immac stinks!!

trace2 · 19/06/2007 10:20

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 10:22

lol jbm.....what an image that conjures up!

trace...ikwym...i hate putting em down..she is just so cute and cuddly, but I keep getting a crick in my neck with the laptop at my side!!

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 10:23

noticed you had a hairraising trip to the hospital on Friday Trace....was the flooding really bad?

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 10:24

Yuk, Immac is minging! I was thinking last night that if I didn't groom that the baby was more likely to come as it would be fate! Then I decided that I wouldn't want to shock the mw and went for the trimmed effect!

hollyandalice · 19/06/2007 10:24

Glad you are back home trace and all is going well!

trace2 · 19/06/2007 10:33

yes speny two hours getting there was told needed to be there in a hour, ,they took blood sent us home to wait which took 2 hours, just pulled on drive got phone call to go back asap, so got friend to pick ds home from school then set home to pick him up 1 1/2 later got home to go back to see chloe which took an other hour.

the hospital is normally 20 mins away

daisyboo · 19/06/2007 10:34

sounds like an absolute nightmare...you'd think they would have taken account of the wather and given you somewhere to wait.

Do they know what is causing the jaundice?

trace2 · 19/06/2007 10:46

no shes had loads of tests, they say most babies get it , but only mild where dd got very high levels which could harm her. but shes a poor feeder and that can make a diffrence thats why we have to make sure shes no longer than 3 hours

trace2 · 19/06/2007 10:48

but we waiting for a kidney scan as the two cord thing i ad when carying can be a problem

mumof4aceboys · 19/06/2007 10:49

Hi trace2 - don't know ur story - was ur baby early?

trace2 · 19/06/2007 10:53

hi just i day

mumof4aceboys · 19/06/2007 10:57

trace2 - Did they give you much advice to break the jaundice down? My DS1 was 4 weeks early and they advised my to put him in plenty of daylight. If its too cold outside then next to a window. My nephew was 7 wks early and the hosp put him under a sun lamp.

trendaverter · 19/06/2007 10:59

Hello I'm back.
LO heartbeat pretty low but still within normal levels, so no worries here.

Holly, I am very proud to be known as mucous madam, actually.

Seansgirl · 19/06/2007 11:12

Hello!!! Am sort of back, though still feeling well spaced out and of course seriously loved up with my wee man!!!

Have not had chance to catch up on anything but will try to get back into things....

As you know went in on Tuesday last week for induction, but actually went in at 4.30am in morning as had majorly sleepless night with 'bean' frantically moving. I didn't have Jake until Thursday 4.40am after they first induced me at 8.30am on Tuesday. I am not going to post any more of my birth story as I have to say it was bloody horrendous and vile and I never want to go through it again in my whole life. I can only say that we are so relieved and glad he is out and safe, and we can now relax and enjoy our beautiful baby boy.

After all tthe stress of the past few weeks Jake Benjamin popped out at 6lb 8oz just over 2 weeks early, so in so respects I wonder what all the stress was about having a small baby and was it worth the added stress?

Anyway guys, onwards and upwards and all that....lots of ,love to you all xxxxx

trendaverter · 19/06/2007 11:18

I am good totally, feeling pretty chilled out.
Milky madam - ew - I hope that is better than it sounds

SFL, sorry your birth experience was horrid, I am petrified I will have a horrible one, but as you say at least it's all over now. The things we poor women put up with eh. Welcome Jake x

bumperlicious · 19/06/2007 11:22

Hi seansgirl, glad you are back. Sorry to hear you had such a horrendous birth. Are you feeling ok about it now?

How is the little one?

OP posts:
mumof4aceboys · 19/06/2007 11:25

Hi seansgirl - sorry ur experience was not too good. I had a bad time with my 1st and I was PG again 6 months or so later so you do 4get. HONESTLY! Its early days for u

bumperlicious · 19/06/2007 11:27

Justbeme, immac is better than the extremely painful bikini wax I had done last week! It's only the second time I've had it done (last one was for wedding - special occasions and all that) and I remembered why I said I would never have it done again. I can't even see it to apreciate it!

OP posts:
Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 19/06/2007 11:40

Hi everyone

Welcome back SFL and Trace

I'm still here - with bump! and (TMI alert) lots of brown discharge? Which is starting to gross me out a bit. Not a wiff of a contraction tho?

Today I will be mostly sitting on my ball and bouncing this baby down! It's really not doing me any favours sitting on plastic day in day out - I've started to get a spotty arse!

Seansgirl · 19/06/2007 11:43

I know what you mean about forgetting Mumof4 I had forgotten what little babies do and don't do as DD is now 4. Am comparing my birth experience with DDs which I was also induced for but had a much better prg and birth with. I think had I not been quite so anxious and stressed out with the 'small baby', OC and Reduced Liqour it would have been slightly more bareable. The actual birth from them breaking my waters at 2am and him popping out at 4.40am was pretty quick! TBH it was the run up that was the worst.

Anyway, moving on, I am stopping at two anyway (she says wondering about contraception - which have not thought of for about 10 years! )

Jake, is gorgeous (I would say that wou;dn't i?) He is doing well, I am not whispers bfing as he didn't take to it at all as he was early, the peadratician recommended the bt for other reasons too - so he is feeding quite well and I'm hoping by the time the MW weighs him tomorrow he might have put enough on to be able to sleep in his grobag! yay! Bloody hate blankets! his cord has already come off, he sleeps a lot but not quite when I want him to , I mean he is in such a peaceful slepp now from about 9am that I am wondering - now, whey couldn't you do that at 2.30am this moring?
