I haven’t tried others coz it’s defo positive and that is enough for me, I bought ten strip tests so I planned to test every morning to see a nice progression. But I’m only 4+6 with no symptoms so I just need to chill! I think I can’t believe it, was only 3rd cycle after coil removal so I’m surprised! Plus I love being pregnant so I’m excited Grin

poppyseed2 · 18/10/2018 07:59

I repeated my clear blue digi test this morning. I'm 4+5 days so was hoping to see 2-3 weeks, but it's still showing 1-2. I know they can be inaccurate, but given my history it's really worried me bring on 6 weeks when I can get an early scan and know that everything is ok!

fee1234 · 18/10/2018 08:02

7 + 0 today! Trying out the nausea bands for the first time today, hoping they work.

My first midwife appointment is next Wednesday and then I think she makes the appointment for the 12 week scan. First baby so not sure what to expect at the first appointment.

Curlywurly3 · 18/10/2018 08:19

@poppyseed I had a CB that said 1-2 then 2-3 a few days later I did another one which said 1-2 again and then back to 2-3! I know it's hard but le q ve it a few more days and it should increase x

@fee happy 7+0!

I've just seen a post on FB about Prince Harry seeing the same elderly lady each time he has been to Oz, this time being the third time and it made me cry... deary me! I'll be crying at the washing powder adverts on TV next!

AnitaPage · 18/10/2018 08:31

Can you add me? I’m 6 + 2 today and have been getting bad lower back pain since yesterday. I had a horrible dream that I miscarried so I’m in properly anxious and grumpy today, as well as being tearful with my OH this morning before work!
Im going on an overseas trip with work and I think that’s what’s got me worried, the idea of anything happening when I’m away.

Kay2705 · 18/10/2018 08:35

Hi @poppyseed2 I'm not sure how accurate the dates are so don't worry too much about it. I tested last night at 4weeks and it's coming up as 3+ already which doesn't seem right

Torsz · 18/10/2018 09:16

I'm at 8 weeks today and it seems the mood swings have kicked in - I was a proper miserable b*tch this morning for no reason whatsoever!!

But frustrated as I want to get the 12 week scan date but our booking in appointment isn't until next Tuesday - I just want to know when I'll be able to tell my family! does anyone know how far after 12 weeks it could be?

toomanyflatwhites · 18/10/2018 09:23

Ha @Torsz you're lucky you've got to 8 weeks before it started...DP said to me last night and again this morning - well you're definitely pregnant because you're so angry at everything and everyone!! Last pregnancy I was like this too!

Reastie · 18/10/2018 09:23

Torsz I think my mood is mixed too. I actually said to dh last night ‘if you’re going to drink that glass of water so loudly please could you sit on the other side of the room’ Blush

Torsz · 18/10/2018 09:27

Haha @Reastie @toomanyflatwhites glad to hear it's not just me! Dh asked what was wrong and I was like 'I'm just angry ok!!!' 😂

I think i was originally annoyed because he was asleep when I was awake, and then because he woke up and kept talking to me🤣🤣🤣

coles85 · 18/10/2018 09:37

Hi everyone! Just found the new thread! Grin ! I think I'm about 6 + 2 right now, but wanted to tell family ahead of a big celebration we have coming up in a few weeks (it will be seriously noticed if I keep off the booze, but don't want to steal the limelight on the actual day!) so I've booked myself in for a cheeky wee private scan next week so I have a bit more confidence when telling them!!

I have had zero symptoms other than slightly sore boobs and being a bit more hungry/tired than normal. Oh and boy do I feel fat! Anyone else seriously bloated this early on? I don't want to wish morning sickness on myself...but in a way I think it'd make it feel more real. I feel like an impostor just now. Anyone else feeling the same?

If possible, I'd like to join the FB group once I have my scan next week (assuming everything is OK!) Think I'm due June 11(ish).

SassehMonsta · 18/10/2018 09:42

Checking in - yay, hello thread 2! :)

I spent last Friday and Saturday morning in hospital for fluids after my Doctor wouldn't prescribe me stronger anti-emetics as my ketones were at +3. 4 bags and an overnight stay later, I have ondansetron and cyclzine to keep me going for a couple of weeks.

Today I am 8 weeks - eeek! apparently my Ovio app thinks I'm 8+1, but we have an early scan booked for tomorrow evening so we can find out more then! I have got my fingers tightly crossed that its not twins. I might faint/DH may collapse - we just about managed with one newborn last time, I can't imagine 2 at a time.

I took a half day yesterday from work because I am so shattered, but didn't get a chance to rest as had to sort some things out at home and then take a friend to the hospital for a steriod injection in her hand. I am hoping today is more peaceful, as the auditors at work have got all the information they need from me now (I hope) and so I can get my head down and catch up on this weeks workload.

Fabuluce · 18/10/2018 09:44

Morning all! Can I join? I'm 6+4 with baby #2. DS is 3 in two weeks. DS and this one are IVF babies which makes dating easier! Early scan booked for next Wednesday 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Feeling a full range of symptoms - cramping tum, aching boobs, off and on mild nausea. Not ready to join the Facebook group yet though - definitely need to pass a few more hurdles first!

Kescilly · 18/10/2018 09:44

Thanks for sharing your experiences with medication, everyone. It helps to know I’m not alone.

@Skee yes it’s a cold so all the usual congestion and such. But because of my asthma it affects my breathing quite severely as well. I was wondering if I could have Jakemans, I love the honey and lemon ones. I know paracetamol is generally considered safe in pregnancy but had read that it’s best to avoid for the first twelve weeks. I know that quite a few things are considered safer later on in pregnancy but not so much for the first trimester, which is what makes me nervous.

I know a few people have requested to be added to the list but I don’t feel well enough to get out the laptop and do it. Feel free to copy the list and add yourselves, or perhaps someone else will have time to update it?

SassehMonsta · 18/10/2018 09:46

12 week scan is usually between 11+4 and 13+6 I think? :) hope that helps!

I told my parents earlier than planned, called them up from hospital and said "Good news, I'm pregnant... bad news, I'm back in hospital!" Not how we planned to tell them, but nevermind! Still haven't told DD yet, that's tomorrows job, along with my sister :)

I'm very bloated, despite loosing a stone in the last 6 weeks. I have a definite "bump" going on already, but as this is baby number 2 I'm not too surprised.

Keep on drinking - and start doing those pelvic floor exercises already ladies! I didn't last time and I regretted it.....

Torsz · 18/10/2018 09:50

@coles85 good luck with your scan! I also felt like an imposter - lots of mild symptoms but nothing strong enough to make me feel pregnant...I genuinely had this image of being told at the scan that I'd imagined the whole thing! I'm now 8 weeks and still not feeling anything particularly strong - but I think that's quite normal! Just got to feel lucky I guess...

@SassehMonsta due date buddies! I always thought I wanted twins but the feeling of relief at the scan surprised me - two babies first time would've been incredibly daunting!! Good luck at your scan too 😊

coles85 · 18/10/2018 10:06

@torsz yes! I'm convinced she's going to tell me I got it wrong Hmm. I think because I messed up my first test (didn't let it sit long enough, chucked it in the bin, realised it was a positive a day later when I emptied the bin! - doh!) since then I feel like I'm waiting for the rug to be pulled from under me, even though the other billion tests I've done have been clear positives instantly.

I also think because I got pregnant instantly after coming off the pill, that it can't be that easy, so I'm just waiting to be told it's not really happening.

But you're right - I'm going to tell myself I'm just lucky to not have sickness, and continue to be excited!

pollykins151 · 18/10/2018 10:11

@Curlywurly3 that story made me cry yesterday. Haha

Torsz · 18/10/2018 10:23

@coles85 haha I'm the opposite of you - came off the pill in feb 17 and have been trying ever since (we were due to start ivf in a couple of months) so I'd given up all hope of getting pregnant 'naturally'! I'd love to say you'll feel convinced once you see the scan but I'm still having doubts 🤣

coles85 · 18/10/2018 10:29

@torsz - gosh how typical when you're just about to start IVF! Congrats! You must've been so happy and excited! I just assumed it would take us a while, not sure why, maybe because I'm in my mid 30s and have been on the pill for about 15 years.

Haha, I think until there is a baby keeping me awake at night I'll remain unconvinced it's happening!

I'm trying to break things down into milestones - next week I'll know if things are OK so I can tell family, then week 13 I have my scan. If I can get to then, that's one box ticked!

toomanyflatwhites · 18/10/2018 10:40

I remember the "imposter" feeling from my first pregnancy - we had a scan and harmony test at 10 weeks and the sonographer had to tell me "it's ok, you can look at the screen" as I couldn't even bare to look and see nothing there!! And I genuinely didn't really believe it until DD was here!

Is anyone else a bit haunted by previous early losses? I'm ok (as in - I'm not majorly traumatised in daily life) but definitely marking key dates from my chemical in August - that time I started bleeding 8 days after my BFP, which was CD40. So yesterday was 8 days after my current BFP and tomorrow will be CD40. Planning on taking my last CB digital tomorrow and hoping to see 3+ fingers crossed!
Feel like once I get past that I'll dare to send the self referral form to the hospital to get things rolling with my appointments!

Napssavelives · 18/10/2018 10:55

I’m exhausted, only really symptom. 5 weeks 4 days, man this is going slow. I want a scan! Want to see there is actually a baby in there

Torsz · 18/10/2018 11:12

@coles85 I know, I actually found out the day after I left my old job and 2 days before I started the new one, so rubbish timing really but we couldn't be happier!!

Good plan re: the milestones - we were counting down to 7 week scan and now to our booking in appointment. I just know it's going to feel a very long wait until the 12 week scan after that!!

coles85 · 18/10/2018 11:27

@torsz oh goodness haha! Is that not just typical! They do say though there is never a good time, we'll all just make it work! And the fact it was SO wanted beats everything else I'm sure.

I had grand plans of saving while we were TTC...unfortunately a month isn't enough time to save for mat leave haha! The next 8 months are going to be frugal-central!

@toomanyflatwhites glad it isn't just me feeling like that!

NatalieBee · 18/10/2018 12:49

@AnitaPage I had horrible back pain at the beginning, thankfully it's now shifting but I know what you mean I was so worried!

@toomanyflatwhites Totally get what you mean about previous losses, I have recurrent miscarrige and your always just waiting to pass a point where it happened before, it's horrendous I'm 8 weeks and still nowhere close to relaxed..

Have felt so sick today, just can't bring myself to do anything. I'm actually off work at the moment because I couldn't function with the nausea, I'm a nurse and honestly I wasn't helping anyone
