@coastergirl I think I’d go by LMP if it seems to work out, at least until you have a dating scan.

@jacquejacque I think that’s normal and everyone reacts to things differently. Fear and anxiety can be a way of protecting yourself in the event of bad news. I read something on Reddit from someone who actually had a loss. And she said that her fondest memories of her pregnancy were the moments where she was excited about the pregnancy, not anxious. So everyone handles things differently but it gave me something to think about and I’m trying to be less anxious.

toasterstrudle · 28/10/2018 12:43

Also @JBCG there's a girl on an antenatal club thread called "pregnancy after loss" who has had repeated heavy bleeds with some clots and each time her scan shows a healthy baby!

JBCG · 28/10/2018 13:16

I am now feeling extremely dizzy and faint. Bleeding has slowed right down but I am still cramping and am experiencing pains down my left leg and left arm - sort of shooting pains but quite prolonged. I am getting quite worried again now. I had to sit down when having a shower this morning as I was so dizzy I thought I might faint. I'm getting quite concerned now. Any ideas?

Hopefulirishmammy · 28/10/2018 13:34

@JBCG you’re in a horrid situation, I hope you’re as ok as can be. I’m sorry I can’t add much in terms of words of wisdom (had an mc a few years ago but no warning signs and this is my first pregnancy since). Am I right in thinking that you’ve said there are no Sunday medics and A&E is expensive? It must be hard to hold your worries alone. It may be idealistic but could you give A&E a call and ask their advice?

twig1234 · 28/10/2018 13:40

JBCG I think you do need medical attention or at least advice. May need to rule out ectopic? Apologies if you have already had a scan and it's not this xx

Reastiepeace · 28/10/2018 13:55

JBCG I assume you’re not in the Uk if you have to pay for a&e? Is there any kind of phone number yu can ring for advice like in the uk we have 111? At least then you’d get some kind of professional viewpoint on what you should be doing. Dizziness I think can be normal in pg but if you didn’t have it before and do now it might need checking.

socktastic · 28/10/2018 14:13

@JBCG have you any family nearby you're confiding in? Make sure you've someone with you all the time just in case you do pass out. I'd really encourage you to seek medical advice asap.

Most of my day so far has been spent in tears. Toddler running a temp of 39.3 and currently asleep in my lap. Don't know how long it's been since this happened last. Woke up for 10 minutes to throw up all over the couch. He's not been properly sick in ages too. Added into that dh pointing out that there are no free washing baskets as ive not put the washing away yet. Would politely like to tell him to fuck off

JBCG · 28/10/2018 14:18

DP is at work but due to finish in an hour. Have told my mum who has advised rest with feet up and a cup of tea (classic mums!). Managed to find an out of horse doctor so have left a message and just waiting for a call back with hopefully some advice. Thank you all x

curlypasta · 28/10/2018 15:21

Having not had any real symptoms, it appears pregnancy nose has well and truly arrived! I didn’t realise how bad people smell. I spent my whole Aldi trip with my nose in a mint plant! I must have looked crazy.

Hello to all newbies!

And my love to everyone who is struggling Flowers

Cassia90 · 28/10/2018 16:07

Hi all just wanted to join, been a bit of a worrier lately but time to get involved.

1st baby (rainbow) EDD 16/06/19

mindthechaos · 28/10/2018 18:42

@JBCG I hope you're doing ok and have managed to see an OOH doctor. How are you feeling?

@curlypasta It's awful isn't it. I normally have a nose like a bloodhound, but pregnancy has just sent it into over drive. I don't have many symptoms but my sense of smell is one of them.

Hi to all the newbies, and sorry if I've missed something over the weekend x

curlypasta · 28/10/2018 18:48

@mindthechaos I smoked up until 3 months ago (when we started trying) so it may be a combination of senses returning and pregnancy nose! It was the sickly sweet perfume that tipped me today, and the smell of fags Envy (not envy!)

JBCG · 28/10/2018 19:22

I just got back from a&e. They took bloods and a urine sample that both proved pregnancy but the scan showed there was still nothing inside the sac in my womb. The doctor said that the chances of a viable pregnancy were low. He suspects I'm having a MC or it is an ectopic as there is a 'strange lump' near my left ovary. Have got to go for more blood tests on Tuesday to assess what my HCG levels are doing. If they fall, I'm miscarrying but if they remain constant, it's ectopic. He isn't hopeful for a rise in HCG. So still no real idea of what's going on, just now know that it's probably not good news

Reastiepeace · 28/10/2018 19:28

Oh I’m so sorry JBCG. I’m glad you went to see a doctor and have more of an idea what’s going on but I’m snot sure if sorry it’s not good news. Please be gentle on yourself and take it easy. Keep,us updated with how you go with the repeat blood tests. X

Stormwhale · 28/10/2018 19:48

So sorry @JBCG you poor thing. I hope whatever is coming is manageable for you. Can you rest up now? Is there anyone to look after you?

JBCG · 28/10/2018 19:52

Thanks ladies, yes DP is treating me by cooking dinner while I nap on the sofa with our kittens. Just need to rest up and try not to think about it until Tuesday and we actually have some answers

mindthechaos · 28/10/2018 19:55

So sorry for you and your DP @JBCG. Please rest up and take care of yourself x

curlyrebel · 28/10/2018 20:01

So sorry about the news @JBCG. Hope you get well looked after

Stormwhale · 28/10/2018 20:08

@jacquejacque - how are you today? Have you had any more blood when you wipe?
I have just been to the loo and had the same thing, just the tiniest bit of blood in my cm. Panicking now.

toasterstrudle · 28/10/2018 20:27

I'm so sorry to read your update @JBCG Thanks

jacquejacque · 28/10/2018 20:29

Oh @JBCG I'm so, so sorry my love. Please let us know how you get on, it must be such a blow for you. 😞

@Stormwhale hi love, no more spotting (touch wood) - I think it was from a cut as I couldn't get it to happen again! Don't worry too much, just keep an eye on it. Are you in any pain? X

socktastic · 28/10/2018 20:30

@JBCG so sorry to hear your news my lovely. There are no words

Flowers
Stormwhale · 28/10/2018 20:46

@jacquejacque not really in pain, but had a bit more when I wiped again. I'm really panicking.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 28/10/2018 21:51

Hi all, just catching up.

@JBCG I am so sorry. Please try to be kind to yourself and hopefully Tuesday you will get some answers.

@Stormwhale That must be worrying - is it just a tiny bit though? Remember spotting happens to a lot of people and it's no issue. How are you feeling apart from that?
