You weren't rude, annobal, dh tells me Skippy is also a brand of peanut butter!

Right I am going to fight a bit on Daphne. I've already rolled over on Kitty and Vincent, both of which I loved.

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 19:01

LOL...I'm just watching Scooby Doo....I think Sarah Michelle Gellar in the role of Daphne has probably done the name a great service...I like it

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:03

ooh bumper I am tempted to lumber LO as an ARF just because we really like the names.

Ahh well!!

I just showed dh your name webpage and he got very excited as he found it ages ago then lost it again.

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 19:05

I love Kitty! I want Betty but DP says no. Tried for Elisabeth, but he said "Liz" so I said no. I like Eliza too. Elsie, Edie, Eve are still favourites. Jessica, Rebecca are possibles. We really like charlotte too. I like Lola.

bumperlicious · 16/06/2007 19:05

Bless your DH. Is he feeling as frustrated as you are at the moment with all this waiting? It must be hard for him as he can't tell how you are feeling physically at the moment. Plus he has to go to work and leave you all alone.

What about Eva to add to your 'E' names Foxy?

annobal · 16/06/2007 19:07

TA, I agree with Bumper - kids are always going to find something to tease about and that's a pretty harmless one. We only realised after we'd named DS2 that his initials are almost GOSH .

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:08

yes poor sod is frustrated, he hates going to work as I am so huge and awkward the last few days, and he is weary of the comments he is getting from his colleagues too.
He looks rough today, he says he's not feeling well, he is run down from it all I think.

I am v lucky actually he is wonderful.

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 19:09

When Ds was born, he was registered with my maiden name which begins with D...tradition dictates that in DH's family the first born son is either John as christian or middle name. His first name startss with C...so he would have been CJD! I thought it would be cruel to saddle him with that so we stuck another name in there so he is CJAD!.....

....did any of that make sense, and more to the point, do you care?

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 19:10

Eva is lovely, but a friend of ours bagged that first!

annobal · 16/06/2007 19:11

I love Elsie, Evie, Charlotte (that was no 1 for girls on our list) and Lola (also know a very cute Lola). Also love Victoria (Vic). In Oz Elisabeth is shortened to Libby...

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:11

foxy I like those names - I already shortlisted a couple of them actually!

DH's boss (a nerdy programmer) wrote a program so he went through 300,000 names and the software helped him choose.

He chose 'Felix' after all that.

I don't like to take the piss out of name choices...and I actually think it's a cool name - but I can't get past the 'cats like Felix like Felix' thing

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:13

Yes it made sense and we care

annobal · 16/06/2007 19:13

LOL TA - now I have the theme tune for 'Felix the cat, the wonderful, wonderful cat, whenever he gets in a fix, his heart will go pitter pat...' Don't know if that gem made it to the UK (think it was American...)

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:19

rebecca and charlotte are on our shortlist... I am bad though I have been told before not to start name conversations and I did it AGAIN

annobal · 16/06/2007 19:23

Sorry to change subject but just been having a look at this thread - PMSL

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 19:25

Or This One .....[mouth hanging open emoticon]

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 19:28

You're all off reading those threads aren't you?

bumperlicious · 16/06/2007 19:28

Busted

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:30

oh Bumper I have always loved Piper but I won't even run it past dh, he would say no!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 19:32

Can I ask a stupid question?

Why would you not say LO's name for paranoia?
Has there been something happen in the past, or what might happen? I always thought quite inocuous to post a first name as long as you kept surname quiet but willing to be told otherwise

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 19:32

Hilarious! (those other threads I mean).

Not much in the way of Nursing bras on Ann Summers is there?

annobal · 16/06/2007 19:34

Don't know Foxy, think those Ann Summers nipple tassles would soad up a bit of excess milk

annobal · 16/06/2007 19:35

Foxy, have you been searching Ann Summers
