Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Well expectant management to a degree - I have to go in tomorrow for the induction and I am going to ask for a few more days, say thursday/friday.

I don't want to go on like this (ie, PG!) indefinately and I am quite opposed to the whole unnecessary intervention thing, but actually I feel ok about giving myself just a few more days.

I definately DON'T feel good about having anything done tomorrow and the whole thought of it has made me very anxious and stressed, but actually waiting just 1 more week I feel much calmer, esp as my body is clearly doing something and maybe it just needs a few more days.

If it does come to being induced say, friday, at least my body has actually already now done some of the work and hopefully it will be less intervention long run.

What do you think?

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:25

I imagine jeans would be quite painful yes

Well at least it's not too bad. Can you take painkillers while BF?

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 14:27

I think its a good idea, take each day as it comes, but agree with the consultant that there will be a point that you'll go ahead. Its always worth exploring your options, but its important that the 'experts' don't feel you are being reckless (which you obvously aren't).

I've been thinking about my own as I went 10 days over last time. Also being older than 35 there's the whole placenta thing to consider.

When your babies do come, please take my advice and keep your photo albums upto date. I am currently sticking 2.5 years worth into albums [yawn] [yawn]

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 14:29

that sounds like a fine plan TA.....don't let them bully you!

I've got painkillers from the hospital still.....paracetomol and dihydracodeine, and can take ibuprofen as well.......so drugged up to the max really!

Off to change a very stinky little girl......I thought BF babies didn't smell? . This one stinks to high heaven [bleargh emoticon]

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:32

Thanks Foxy...yes, I have been thinking on it and yes I will go ahead with an induction, just not yet, a few more days please. Coming to this decision has actually made me feel soooo much calmer and more at ease which might help in itself!

They have already said on the phone they will respect my wishes but yes I do want them to work with me on this and not feel I am being foolish, I think (hope) they see it as being reasonable.

I do however want a checkup to see if all is ok in there to make sure I am not being foolish! I might ask for a scan or something to check fluid levels etc.

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:35

I thought they didn't smell either but my expose to babies, BF or otherwise, is minimal so I have NO idea!!

Codiene is fun, makes me very floaty

Foxy I don't even have any albums, I am one of these nerds that has only virtual photos and a printer and I just print one off when I need it, but it's my living/profession really and I have 14,000 photos to sort so I just never bother starting

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 14:37

There's still a long way to go beforehand anyway. We need Seansfatlass to come back (anyone would think she'd just had a baby!). She had an early induction, and hopefully she'll be able to share her experience.

Now where is Tallulahbelle? She's not been on today has she? T?? Are you OK??

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:37

Klaw referred me to this site earlier, you may have already seen it but I am finding it very useful.

Bit late obviously for most of us but I thought I'd pass on the word Here

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 14:37

I'm so old fashioned with my photo-albums!!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:39

Very few peeps around today....must be having exciting RL weekends!

Hopefully tallulah is ok, maybe things have kicked off for her!

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 14:40

But I'm watching (and enjoying!) a programme about storage solutions and I bought a copy of good housekeeping today (although I nearly didn't as it has lorraine kelly on the front, which must give me back a point or two).

HA HA! Hows this for a storage solution they've just suggested? Have 2 dishwashers, when one is clean, you take something out and use it, placing it in the other one for washing. No cupboards needed, no putting away to be done. Genius!

cheetara · 16/06/2007 14:42

OI TA....FARK OFF AND HAVE THAT SODDING BABY!!!

Bet you can't guess who it is!!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:42

My god really? That's funny. Wouldn't work for me I have a kitchen utensil obsession and it would never fit.

Do you think anyone really does that?!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:43

Holly? Is that you?

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:43

No it's not holly...who is it?!

cheetara · 16/06/2007 14:44

No...I mean yes!!! How are you feeling this fine day?

Foxy, how's the kid free zone?

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:44

Mum??

hollyandalice · 16/06/2007 14:45

Soz, I was mucking about yesterday and forgot to change my name back!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:46

I am feeling FAT and PREGNANT and like the girl that cried Wolf or Contraction or something

I knew I should have joined the July thread. This LO is going to be ready for school by the time it comes out

hollyandalice · 16/06/2007 14:53

SHit, my baby just tried to dig through my cervix! Owwww!

Are you going to let them induce you tomorrow, or just see how you feel?

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:54

Scroll down a bit, I have already bored Foxy and Daisy with my 'plan'

Perhaps LO is trying to give you a sweep?

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:55

Posting @14:24

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 14:56

LOL Foxy....I would need six dishwashers to house all my kitchen crap.....

I'm now anti-bioticked to the max....and one of them states not to take alcohol for the duration of the course (7 days) or for two days afterwards due to possible 'nasty' reaction (but it isn't any more specific than that). LOL I don't think I went nine days without alcohol for the whole of my pregnancy!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:57

Am off to do brisk walk with ill pooch to see what happens. Back soon!

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 14:57

Holly...I was lurking on the April thread to see how all the babies are doing, and EllieK (their PA) does a weekly talk round-up and e-mails it to everyone

......righty ho...off you go!!
