Is it dangerous to post names on here? xander.
So long as noone who knows me is reading I should be ok. Just best not be rude about anyone in RL until the new thread!

Am still bored. Might see how LITTLE I can achieve today. Have definitely got over the nesting thing.

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 10:49

I'm back!

well my pains all but stopped, they slowed down to every 10 minutes, then they stopped altogether so I went with DH to the supermarket where they started up again with a bit of a passion and I started to feel a bit ill, now they have slowed right down again.

I am not going to start climbing stairs etc because I am EXHAUSTED and need a rest - I am going to chill out for a while and take the pooch out later, that might help.

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 10:50

LOVE his name Ria! Also happens to be the Mystic Green Rangers name doncha know (Daisy knew that already!)

Daisy, that is normal. You can do some baby massage with grapeseed or olive oil if you don't have any other sort. Every time I smell warm olive oil I think of babies.

Right, I'm off to buy more photo albums.

My DD didn't want to speak to me this morning!! Too busy playing fairies with her aunties! All having a great time. I'm not missing them (which is healthy, I'm sure!)

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 10:51

TA defo have a rest now, but when they come back, and during labour, do try to keep moving, it really really helps. Do you have an exercise ball? Bounce on it all day.

foxybrown · 16/06/2007 10:54

Oh, just checked Nikie1's thread. Sounds like she's having a similar time TA, loss of plug, start-stop niggles.

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 10:56

ok foxy will do

I don't think I slept well, despite getting 7 hours I feel shagged so I suspect that I must have been getting pains in my sleep and thus not very rested now!

I am still getting pains but they are not very strong at all, I have run a bath to help me relax but I am trying to get rest as I think I might need it.

I think things are happening just taking their sweet time

Love that name too Ria!

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 10:57

cheers foxy........warm olive oil it is.

I put some e45 lotion on earlier and it's helped a bit.

was feeling really guilty as I put some Avent bubbles in her bath yesterday!

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 11:01

still not found a new name....was thinking hotpinksapphire (one of my fave gems) but there is already a sapphire.

riabutterflew · 16/06/2007 11:07

It's harder to choose a name for mnet than it is for the LOs!

Didn't know that about the green ranger - don't know anything about Power Rangers, sorry. Hopefully he is a multi-talented modest good guy (like Xander Cage from the film XXX). (DS1 is a bit of a wuss... he has the same name as Richard Harris's son, just so you know them both, his name ha nothing do do with him being a big girls blouse, that's just how he is. He likes cooking programmes and old-fashioned kids programmes so he can say "I don't care if it's babyish, it's a classic"!)

riabutterflew · 16/06/2007 11:10

I like Asher as a boys name for the new LO. It is Hebrew for Blessing.

Why are weekends so boring? How's yours going foxy? (I don't think I would miss my boys if someone took them away for the weekend - except at night with the snoring thing - I'm willing to give it a go...)

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 11:12

Every day is boring
I have been sat on my rotund butt now for almost 7 month

Weekday, weekend, still the same old couch and fat butt

riabutterflew · 16/06/2007 11:17

Sorry TA, I shouldn't be moaning as not quite overdue yet.

This sounds awful, but I hope your pains come back! I quite like the theory that days worth of twinges makes for a speedy actual event. I hope it's true.

You're right about every day being boring though. I was ok when I was nesting, but now I don't give a stuff and everywhere is getting messy again.

ARSE!

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 11:24

Just realised that we've not heard from Sputnik for ages?

Who is her text buddy?

RL didn't captivate me for long...I'm such a saddo.

Now the boys have gone swimming, LO is asleep, and I'm still in my milky jammies.....what a yummy mummy I am

Off to shower and pretend I'm normal before DD wakes up for her next feed. I might even get as far as putting some slap on today.

riabutterflew · 16/06/2007 12:33

Have just stupidly realised what DH went into town to buy yesterday (why did it occur to me while I was hanging his pant on the washing line though). It is our anniversary on Thursday. Haven't bought him a card or present - do you think I'll get away with just having a baby sometime in the next few days? Not a lot of choice in the village shop and don't expect to be going to town again before then (except to hospital I hope).
Bugger.

riabutterflew · 16/06/2007 12:34

Meant pants obviously.

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 13:12

I want my pains to come back too

Had a little nap and a shower, feel much more human, I was beginning to feel quite ill but sadly all pains seem to have stopped. On the plus side, I don't think they were meaningless and LO now feels much lower, I was only 3/5 before.

Oh fingers crossed something happens soon!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 13:13

Daisy I was wondering about sputnik too! Wasn't she 4cm dilated or something when she was last online?

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 13:57

Everyone must be having a much more interesting saturday than me

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 14:05

not intersesting TA, unless you count having a shower then lunch then feeding baby in between talking to various health professionals re the state of my wound interesting.

wound has been bleeding and is swollen and red and not healing at one end. DH off to collect prescription for two separate anti-biotics........look out nipple thrush, here I come

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 14:07

sorry things have slowed down again.....that's a bit pooey, but it will get going soon!

trendaverter · 16/06/2007 14:14

Ooww poor you Daisy!!
I take it you have an infection? That must be ever so painful, does it hurt when you try and sit up etc?

Major abdominal surgery is one thing but infections can be SO painful, I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be

Hopefully the antibiotics will put it right.

My DH had a terrible infection and wound on his back, he was in terrible pain for weeks, I hope you aren't suffering with it

As for me slowing down...well, could be worse, at least it started. Gave me a glimmer of hope, I am feeling a bit more chilled out these days, stopped feeling so despondent. As everyone points out, it WILL come, I wish it would speed up on it's own as I don't much fancy intervention arguments with midwives but I have a plan now which makes me feel a bit better.

bumperlicious · 16/06/2007 14:17

Hi all, DH and I bought croissants, chocolate, papers, magazines, mango juice and we are now watching Columbo . Lovely relaxing day!

TA, can't believe your pains have stopped. Thinking of you though.

Was thinking about Sputnik too last night, hope she is ok.

daisyboo · 16/06/2007 14:18

it's not too bad really......tender to the touch and I can only wear joggy bums....tried jeans earlier and even though the waist is above the scar it was too tender and painful. Its more a stinging/burning sort of pain.

wots your plan then?....the expectant management?
