ROFL at TAs DP reading your post Holly! What an ambassador for the Junies you are!

I couldn't buy much as already have 2 packs in the cupboard and some chocolate brazils. I did buy a hat (of sorts, a 'fascinator' I believe they are called, not very bloody fascinating for 20 quid) as I'm off to Royal Ascot on Thursday. Rah! I'm dead posh me!

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 16:34

Oh foxy, I'm v ! I want to go to the races and wear a hat! Dp has promised to take me to ascot and wimbledon next year, but I bet it doesn't happen.

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 16:35

ok I have had a few at 5 mins 30 sec and some at 6 mins, they last between 30-40 seconds each

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 16:35

Sounding good TA!!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 16:39

LOL DH knows me well enough to know that I don't like hanging out with the retiring sort

Pains have eased off now, BUGGER

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:40

You can come with me Holly! Given that I'm having to give Wimbledon a miss this year, we can have a champagne picnic on Henman Hill!

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:41

TA, can you go for a walk?

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:42

Bollox. I've been on here for hours again.

shitshitshit should be doing something else...

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 16:42

next year i'm definately going to ladies day at york....not as grand as ascot, but just up the road!

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 16:43

Maybe we could all go to Wimbledon next year as a sort of birthday celebration for our new los! Do you go every year? I'm well obsessed with it, but have never been. Dp loves to tell be about the times he has been, it makes me sad!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 16:48

Am going to go for a little stroll in a mo to see what happens but the pains are back.

DH is just off to vets with pukey pooch so I will have a little wander while he is gone.

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:58

Tell your DH he should be getting some of his proglandi-thingywotsits into you, not messing around taking the dog to the vet!

I can't be on here all weekend you know!

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 17:01

We go to the races alot. They are getting more and more child friendly. Sandown even has a creche. My kids have been introduced to the fine art of gambling on horses already (and they do better than DP that's for sure!).

annobal · 15/06/2007 17:03

LOL Foxy. I love the races but haven't managed to go for AGES. Back when I had a life, I managed to get tickets to the Royal Enclosure at Ascot - that was a fun day

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 17:05

You've been quiet today Annobal! Have you been having a RL??!

annobal · 15/06/2007 17:06

Helios also sell cauphillum (sp - sorry). Another really good cure for thrush my homeopath recommended was half a cup of white wine vinegar in a warm bath (shallow) each day...

annobal · 15/06/2007 17:10

God forbid Foxy!! I walked down to Lewisham after taking G to Tumble tots and had a look in TK Max. I had NO IDEA! I got some really lovely bed linen for £20! (Ralph Lauren and Sanderson).

That's a bargain! I went to TKMaxx in Clapham today, hows that for a coincidence?

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 17:15

Congrats DG! What a fantastic birth story! How are you feeling now?

I just love the fact that you've just gone off and had your own baby, and are back on the thread being everyone's virtual doula! You are a star!

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 17:16

Rhuaridh is a lovely name DG....and on my short list for a boy, but my bf beat me to it and called her LO that. she has a hamish as well!

riabutterflew · 15/06/2007 17:18

They do a nice family day at York races apparently. I have never been but DHs family did extend a reluctant invitation of sorts once (but it was never confirmed so we didn't go). I went to a catering trade fair in the hospitality suite there though, that was nice (just a shortage of horses!)

Sorry for the drivel. I am very bored and haven't even got any twinges to make things interesting. DHs boss has gone to the races today, but it has been cancelled due to crap weather so they are off round the pubs to get pissed instead. The person they have left in charge has requested I don't go into labout til after 9pm as he can't cook. FFS. Wonder if I'm really evil enough to knacker up Fathers Day lunch for them?

DS1 has gone to a friends for tea - I have no-one to shout at as DS2 is chilled on the sofa!

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 17:20

is it just me or is it farking cold today? We actually had the heating on earlier...it's the middle of June FFS!!

riabutterflew · 15/06/2007 17:21

How do you pronounce Rhuaridh? It looks nice written down. What does it mean? (I am v nosey, sorry.) DH has almost agreed to my girl choice!

riabutterflew · 15/06/2007 17:23

It is cold daisy, and miserable and depressing. I put the heating on before lunch. But then I needed to to dry our coats...
