Pingu...that sounds promising.....fingers crossed the sweep will have kick started things.

TA....are the pains painful? i was either getting regular 9every 5-8 mins), but not painful (more uncomfortable than out and out pain), or else they would be really painful, but fairly irregular (2, sometimes 3 an hour)
If yuo're losing bits of mucuos though, things are definately happening....just slowly. Eat and drink lots to keep up your energy and try to rest, in between all the sex, nipple stim, ball boouncing, side stepping etc!!!

and keep us informed!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:29

Shhh foxy don't get my hopes up

At this point I prefer to be totally pessimistic

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 15:32

This might help induction

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:35

ok they are pretty much spot on to every 6 minutes, for about 2-3 hours now I guess, they are enough to make me go OWwwwwwwwwwwwwww but not enough to make me stop what I am doing, so I suppose that's more uncomfortable than painful.

If I get up and do stuff they seem to stop but come back when I sit down again...hang on having one right now.....

I find it hard to take a deep breath in while it is happening and they are getting a teeny tiny fraction stronger all the time, but still nothing to make me overly concerned pain-wise.

I have sort of lost my appetite and gusto and cheer today, I feel like shit, I can't remember who it was but someone said 'when you feel like you honestly can't take waiting any more, it will happen' so maybe it is it after all!

The thing is - well I have just had similar before. Last night, for example, I was getting the same thing only every 5 minutes, so I am kind of a bit 'suck it and see' at the moment.

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 15:37

Bumper, this is what it says on the Neals yard website for taking homoeopathic remedies:

"Remedies in the 30th potency should be repeated only once or twice, preferably at eight hour intervals. "

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 15:38

am not going to get excited, am not, am not ...

do you need a warm bath and a couple of paracetemol yet?

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:38

Foxy this is a good no-warts account as well here

bumperlicious · 15/06/2007 15:39

Oh TA, sorry you are feeling so shit. Will it help if we stop talking about it and try and distract you instead?

What can me an my DH do tomorrow on what may possibly be our last weekend with just the two of us, bearing in mind the weather looks poo, and I'm easily knackered. Feel like I should be making the most of this time...

bumperlicious · 15/06/2007 15:39

Cheers foxy!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:40

Nah no paracetamol required yet

DH is on his way home but I largely suspect that's because it's a friday afternoon and he is using me as an excuse to bugger off early!!

I think that I am a greedy bitch and I love my food and the biggest hint that something is happening is the thought of food right now makes me want to vom

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:41

Hey Bumper, no talk away, this is an ante natal thread in a mumsnet forum after all!!

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 15:42

God, that's scary TA! Hope I can avoid it.

Bumper, you should get a whole heap of newspapers, croissants, fresh juice, open the windows and spend most of the day in bed together. Turn your phones off. Ignore the door.

You will never, ever get to do it again together. And if either of you do, it will be on your own , and it won't be without negotiation and arguement first!!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:49

5 mins 30 between pains now but they aren't as strong

pinguthepenguin · 15/06/2007 15:52

TA- I know from being on here that my results don't necessarily mean anything, so I wont get my hopes up. Your situation is beginning to look really good though eh? every 6 minutes sounds pretty regular to me!!
Hope it wont be long for you now xxx

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 15:52

OOoh Pingu I hope you're right, get it out get it out

bumperlicious · 15/06/2007 15:58

That's sounds like a fab idea foxy. I hope you will be doing something equally as relaxing with your weekend.

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:03

I have my croissants and juice in already, fresh bed linen on!

I'll be farking furious if I go into labour!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 16:03

I am putting this link on here as many of us (esp the first timers) may find it useful - I certainly have - but the whole site is pretty interesting and informative.
Here

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:07

Wouldn't buy anything from this site though!bit pricey

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 16:08

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh funny

You'd have to be in A LOT of pain hey

daisyboo · 15/06/2007 16:15

all this talk of nice food....might send DH off to M&Sfor nibbles.

right....woke up my lo after 4 hours to feed her to try and help prevent another sleepless night....she fed reluctantly for 10 mins and has now gone back to sleep and no amount of cajoling is geting her to open her mouth! now i don't know whether to feed her on the same side or swap when she's finally woken. doubt she had very much hindmilk though!

foxybrown · 15/06/2007 16:18

M&S was a bit of a let-down. Didn't know what I wanted and nothing appealed .

Guess you are still at the 'go with the flow' stage. God, how I'm dreading it! First time round its lovely - so easy - you can stay in bed, nap whenever, you just work together doing what comes naturally.

But its not quite so lovely and easy when there's one or three other children involved, is it?

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 16:24

Well, that was a shit nap! Dd didn't fall asleep til about 3.30 and the noisy twats across the road kept waking me up with their loading and unloading of vans and shouting in the street. Fucking pikeys!

How regular now TA?! Hope this is it for you xxx

I need to go to Sainsburys, but dd is still asleep and andy roddick is playing tennis! Shit!

Good news on the cervix front pingu! NHS is a pile of wank!

Did you get any percy pigs foxy?!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 16:27

Holly my DH was reading your post over my shoulder and pissing himself, I am sure he thinks we are such a delicate bunch now

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 16:31

Apologise to your dh for me TA! I really am a delicate flower ! I have just woken up all sullen and grumpy, not enough sleep! Is your doggy ok?
